Updates
Hello! It's been awhile! We are actively working on the Homechef Hustle and For Rent hairs. Once we finish those, we will work on Crystal Creations.
The reason the hairs are taking longer is mostly because we currently do not have a recolorist who focuses on making ombres. In the past, we have, and now that we don't we are slower at doing them. The mods and the recoloring team are learning, but it is a tidieous process.
If there are any recolorists out there that know how to make ombre overlays, please reach out to @rachirdsims! We would love an ombre recolorist to join our team again.
TLDR; hopefully hairs will be out mid March!

hi! i am curious to know if your TWH recolors would work for hairs from DLC that other creators have released as BGC? for instance, i dont have the high school years DLC, but a creator released the high school years hair as BGC, so i (technically?) have the hair from HSY. i hope that makes sense lol, thank you for the wonderful work yall put out!! <3
Good morning!
The way that our overrides work for the EA hairs, they would not work. When you override, you override on the pack hair so it would require you to have HSY for it to work.

Is there a chart or info on what combinations to use when doing the ombre hairs? I looked in the resources and couldn't find it. I wasn't sure if there was a system or if it was just winged per hair. Thanks.

If you are interested in recoloring packs, please join our discord! We have a group of recolorists that do the EA packs so we can upload them to the blog.
The chart and info on what colors go with an ombre are kept with the recolorist team. If you have any other questions, please let us know!

Timeline
Horse Ranch hairs should be released by Friday, October 6th. Home Chef Hustle hairs will be done by the end of October. I can't give a better ETA until we do the overlay for the ombre hairs.

Hey! so I don't actually have a simblr rn (hence the anon) and don't do discord but I've gone and made myself defaults of the new infant hairs (base game ones are done + I'm halfway through the new pack hairs) and I'm happy to upload them - do y'all have a particular set of guidelines for defaults, or is it just a case of doing the default/ea extras/extras/merged stuff? I'm lazy and just one merged packages, but it wouldn't take me long to do the others separate, unless I'd be stepping on toes?
Okay, first thing first, if you want to release the hairs then do so. As a group, we will still be doing defaults.
We have started to do the defaults for both the base game hairs and the EP. We have a specific way of recoloring, naming the package files, and more. This is because of how EA tags their hair and how they line up with the readme file that pyxis included in her redo of the palette. We also keep the files as close to the EA originals as possible. This consists of the accessory colors and patterns, and ombres. We also have a specific color palette for our ombres.
If you ever feel like you would like to join the recoloring team, you can always join the discord!

any chance of the high school recolors being out before the baby update ? i know ur all busy so sry to ask
The goal? Yes. We're almost done, as we have been for months, it's like one or two hairs I think.
The goal is to always have hairs out soon after the pack, and while the discord is active and we try to get things done, we are fully functioning adults with full-time jobs and other aspects of life that take us away from being able to work on this.
Full transparency, a lot of us are burned out. Many of us have recolored these hairs since pyxis made the palette all those years ago. We'll always do them, it might just take longer depending on our circumstances in life. A lot of the time, people forget how much work it is to do defaults and the fact that we are not paid for this work. It is done out of the kindness of our hearts.
Anyways, hopefully before the 14th. The goal is before the 14th.

pyxiidis retired their ea's eyebrows recolor, so I am wondering if someone has updated ea's eyebrows recolors
When EA updated the hair color swatches almost two years ago, pyxiidis updated their palette and retired all the recolors they did of pack and base game hairs.
On pyxiidis updated palette, she states that all recolors will be done by us and where they can be found. We have two places where you can find all of the pack hairs up to Werewolves, here and here.
The updated eyebrows can be found on this post. High School Years and the newer patch hairs will be uploaded within a couple of days as we are finishing them now.
