Ten days late (because NEVER EVER! I will do something on time), Happy New Year to everyone! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
I would have liked to do a celebratory drawing for New Year's Eve, but nothing, it will be for the next holiday - Maybe. Hope you all had great holidays!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who played Interview with a succubus, Three Yellow Quartzes and the demos of Pink Pro and Red Riding Hood and the Little Bad Wolf! I hope you enjoyed them! (… If the answer is no, well, I hope they at least entertained you- (ノ゜▽゜))
(Thanks also to the person who offered me a hot chocolate! Thank you so much, it was a beautiful gift ♫)
Also, if you haven't already played them, go check out GrandPiekron's This Tomb of Ours and Tailusei's Every Thought Flies! They're great, trust me!
Once again, Happy New Year to you all, I wish you good luck with all your projects ☆
To the next time!

Sus' house, before and after!
As I mentioned in the last devlog, since I have more time to work on Pink Pro, I decided to redo the interior of Sus' house. It looks much better now!
(By the way, I remembered that, in English, "sus" means "suspect". I'll probably change her name to "Susa".)

Finally, I can introduce you to Every Thought Flies, a prequel to The Ash Black Cat and the Happy Ogre, by Tailusei!
Besides being the betatester of both the English and Italian versions (The latter will arrive any day now!), I was in charge of the main characters' sprites!
Tumblr media
(And someone else…)
As with The Ash Black Cat, they are 99% Mack with a sprinkling of Momope. On the other hand, it was me who drew the 90% of the clothes!
However, what I am really pleased with is
Tumblr media
Little Noelia! She's adorable! I said it myself!
Go take a look! Aside from the cuteness of little Noelia, it's a game I really enjoyed and I'm happy I participated ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Every Thought Flies is out!
Download on Itch.io
One stormy afternoon, Gioele decides to play a ritual japanese game, The Gathering of 100 Supernatural Tales. It's a relatively simple game to play, after all; it requires 100 candles, a lot of matches, and willing storytellers with a fervid imagination - telling 100 weird stories in a row is not an easy task! At the end of the last tale, something strange is bound to happen... And what better storytellers than Felix, Noelia and Abele? So, the game show you the last four tales. Strange, weird, supernatural stories... also, somewhat painful memories. They claim their stories are all true; will you believe them? Maybe, inside this tales there is something more worrying than the possible ghost apparition at the end of the game...
Every thought flies it's an anthology of creepy tales using as a frame the japanese game Hyaku Monogatari Kaidankai.
It's not a really scary game, it's more like a cozy horror.
Features:
🕯️ 4 different cozy horror tales
🕯️ Atmospheric sound design (No RTP!)
🕯️ Sardinian folklore in the first tale
🕯️ Queer characters!
🕯️ Multiple endings for each story AND for the game
🕯️ For now, 3 CGs (planning to add more).
🕯️ 1h/1h30 of playtime
My first complete project! So happy right now-
This is the "chapter 0" of The Ash Black Cat series, but it works fine as a standalone game. Have fun!
(PS: Reblogs are really appreciated!)

Pink Pro Update!
The Yuri Game Jam is over, and it still feels strange to me to have submitted well in advance (Then I remembered that the deadline was pushed back by like a week, so I would have submitted just in time, but details-). Deciding to post a demo rather than the whole game turned out to be a good choice for my peace of mind.
Now, I should make a pretty and tidy (One of the two adjectives might be wrong) update, but first I want to present you a flashback from a few days ago:
---Flashback---
*Soe enters *Soe sees real money *Soe implodes *Soe waits a couple of days to see if it was a misclick - Yes, even the confirmation one *Soe realizes *Soe implodes again *Soe's mass is not enough to generate a gravitational collapse, so there's no black hole but just an amazed fish
Person who decided to offer me a hot chocolate, thank you. I still find it hard to believe, but I thank you very much! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
---Flashback End---
So, it was said. Pink Pro. The update, yes.
Changes and additions
Since I have more time and can do things more slowly, I decided to fix a few things that I wasn't sure about.
For example, Sus's house. You can't visit it in the demo, and in a second time I'll show you a "before-after", but trust me when I say that the first version was absolutely plain and uninspiring - It's even more comical when you consider that it's reiterated how rich Sus is and how her house is ridiculously big. Now I am much more satisfied! It's certainly not the most beautiful map I've ever made, but I find it does its honest job much better than the previous one.
Among other differently useful things I decided to add there is the change of NPCs inside the Pink Jewel and the Magnolia Jane after some time.
Given that time is actually passing (I mean, something is likely to happen in the evening, right?), it seemed silly to me for the customers to be walking around the shops for 12 hours.
It doesn't impact the plot at all, but I think it gives the setting a bit more three-dimensionality.
(Yes, I also entertained the idea of changing customers with each finished order, but my imagination for NPC dialogue is very poor, I don't want to suffer).
Characters' expressions
When I made the expressions, I got a bit carried away, so now Chantal has many more than I had planned. However, this means that I didn't do some expressions that I should have done and that I came up with others-
According to my fantastic to-do list, the expressions that are missing are: 4 for Chantal, 2 for Janet (Yes, Janet has more than two expressions!), 1 for Margrit, 3 for Kenicea and Silsdia, 2 for Saster, Byma and Nicopte (Yes, she also has expressions!), 4 for Sus, Zora and Deilela. The last three might have one less, depending on how they look best.
My relationship with doing expressions is: sometimes, I get on and do them all in less than an hour, without any problem. Other times, for reasons unknown, I spend an hour doing one, which also turns out ugly.
In this case, however, it is not a matter of procrastination - I often literally just forget to do them. (๑꒪▿꒪)*
Other ideas
Since I have more time, I was thinking about adding another, simpler CG - Just coloured lineart on a unicolour background.
On the other hand, I decided to scrap a small idea I had planned to do if I had more time / for a possible update: Chantal's sweets designs.
I would like to show off her "eye-catching" style more concretely, but when I tried to draw them, I realized that was definitely not the case (Let's say, like, no one in the world would have realized that the Île flottante was an Île flottante and not an ugly sponge).
The options, then, are three:
One day I'll be able to draw better and I'll put pretty pictures for all the recipes;
One day I'll go begging for people who can draw pretty food;
Imagination is a wonderful gift, imagine these beautiful recipes in your mind ♡♡♡
Cutscenes
As for the cutscenes, however, I am exactly halfway through, at the third order. I therefore have to finish the third order, do the fourth and fifth, the final climax and the epilogue.
To reassure you, as already mentioned, in the midst of all this there are also Important Scenes, and those have all been done.
And that's it for Pink Pro!
Yes, of course, it's because I'm also working on something else - I can't concentrate on the same thing for more than two days in a row if I don't have at least one side project.
I'll talk about that, though, in the next few days - The devlog on Candy Apple has become the devlog on Candy Apple and Red Riding Hood and the Little Bad Wolf, just as the projects on Three Yellow Quartzes will need a separate devlog.
Thanks for listening, and see you next time!

PINK PRO – [PINK]Y [PRO]MISE – DEMO released 🍨
Pink Pro - [Pink]y [Pro]mise - is the union of "the pink-colored game" and "the sweets-themed game" that I've wanted to make for ages. All with a smattering of yuri and monster girls to garnish.
The demo covers the first ten or twenty minutes. It depends on how much and what you want to read.
«Chantal and Janet are the two best bakers in Rhodopolis. Once rivals, they are now engaged, but they continue to have separate and competing businesses. Accompany Chantal, meet customers' tastes, search for the right ingredients to create customized sweets and defeat Janet! ... At least until Janet is kidnapped by one of her clients.
You can find it at these coordinates:
🍰 Available on Itch.io (Click me! Click me!) 🍰 In English and Italian 🍰 Features an all-female cast, a lot of sweets and a lot of pink 🍰 Major warnings are sort of body horror and, for the full version, abduction, attempted choking, hatred for "the different one" that can be interpreted as racism or homophobia 🍰 4.000+ words (Flavour texts and NPCs included) 🍰 About twenty minutes of reading, walking simulator and cooking minigame
I hope you like it!

Welcome to Soe finally does a real devlog on Pink Pro (but first, she talks about something else) + little announcement!
This experience with jams has taught me that, as I am, the perfect deadline is a month and a half. If it's a full two months, I'll end up doing something else because "there's plenty of time", only to find myself doing it all in the second month/last three weeks.
BUT! It's not like I haven't done anything, what do you think?
[Part where I talk about other things]
🍨 In parallel with the development of Pink Pro, I collaborated with GrandPiekron on his This Tomb of Ours (Run and check it out, it's right HERE!).
Tumblr media
It was great to be part of building a game from scratch and seeing it take shape! Maybe in the next few days, I could publish Erin's beta designs. Fun fact: Her sprite creation time was 10% sprite and 90% hair lock. As I already said for Clea and Aurel, the idea of making everyone bald is increasingly tempting.
Tumblr media
At the moment This Tomb of Ours is not yet complete, literally only the ending is missing, but it is on its way. In the meantime, how about take a look at Doomstone, GrandPiekron's other game? It's complete, but I warn you that it's very dark.
🍨 My collaboration with @time-lapse-games continues, this time for a project that you will soon see on your screens.
Here, instead of sprites and busts, I am the main characters spriter and the betatester. When it's published, I'll obviously spam it here too!
Tumblr media
🍨 As mentioned on Halloween, I'm getting help from two great people who can make Three Yellow Quartzes a game in existing English, and that involves discussing adaptations.
Tumblr media
🍨 For the 100+ downloads (Thank you!) of Interview with a succubus, I contacted a Spanish translator to make it available in an additional language. I love Spanish and who knows, maybe one day I might be able to translate things myself! Hopefully in a more existent Spanish than my English.
I will never stop thanking acadizs for his translation and his patience with my requests.
🍨 Given the introduction of an additional language, I put my hands on Ren'py again to do a single build of Interview with a succubus.
I'd like to do other visual novels, maybe a little longer than ten minutes and more elaborate than two ending branches. I was a little sad that I didn't get to participate in the Once Upon a Time VN Jam, but 1. I had no ideas, 2. I wouldn't have had time even by mistake. I'm eyeing the Winter VN Jam but, barring a miracle, I seriously doubt I'll participate.
🍨 I would also like to go back to translating RPGs into Italian and I contacted again an author whose everything I translated except, like, their most important game. Living Playground: The Witch's Puppets, I'll come back to you!
Tumblr media
🍨 I fixed a few things about The Night of the Candy Apple. I plan to make a dedicated devlog about it, once Pink Pro is published.
[/Part where I talk about other things]
Tumblr media
I've been wanting to make "a pink game" for a while now. I love the aesthetic of games like The Huntress of the Hollow, Sweeter Yesterday and Dreaming Mary and I wanted to make something pink too. I also wanted to do something with sweets tilesets (You might have deduced this from the fact that I made a post on sweets tilesets-), so I decided to merge the two! When I decided to join jams, I decided that I would make my pink and sweets game for the Yuri Jam.
I've already written about the characters in their introductions, so what about the game itself? The game itself, in theory, is very simple: dialogues, cooking minigames, ending requirements, period. Then, of course, maps, sprites, CGs, music, sound effects.
So what's the situation like?
Tumblr media
So geometric...
🍰 The maps are complete. They're the first thing I made and the first thing I finished! Obviously, Chocomill and com-sho could not be missing. I am very satisfied with how they turned out! (… Although I definitely need to practice more with exteriors. Maybe one day I'll be able to build a house other than a rectangle or trapezoid.)
Tumblr media
🍰 The sprites are- The sprites for Chantal and Janet are complete. Margrit's would be complete too, if only I could make her tail decently.
As for now, the sprites of the others exist - Except Zora's, who is always the last. Poor Zora. They are not all 8-directions-complete, but it must be said that not all of them need 8-directions sprites-
Tumblr media
🍰 The busts are complete! I still have to do all the expressions, though. If nothing else, they all have an average of 3/4 expressions, only Chantal has like eight.
Tumblr media
🍰 CGs are almost finished! Only one left.
There's one that I'm extremely satisfied with, I hope you'll like it- Um, actually, it doesn't represent a happy scene, so I'm afraid you won't like it much-
Since I started using Clip Studio Paint not that long ago, I still make stupid mistakes that I notice eight hundred years later, possibly after publishing. Above all: smudged shadows, non-blended shadows and color that goes on the lineart. But I assure you that in traditional I know how to color within the lineart! I learned it in kindergarten!
🍰 The sound side is ready.
More importantly, Pink Pro will also have a customized music track! Maybe I'll talk about it more in depth in a future post, but in the meantime: thanks to DogStudio there will be a story section accompanied by a track that they wrote especially for the game! It has a very particular sound, and inspired me for the main musical genre.
I was sure of one thing: I didn't want to play the "jangling" music typical of sweets contexts. I find them cute, but I wanted to do something different. I hope you like the result!
🍰 On a separate note, since @time-lapse-games has been my sound designer for Three Yellow Quartzes and explained to me the whole philosophy behind the choice of sound effects (?), I pay more attention to the sounds and I feel like putting them even where I wouldn't have put them before. For anyone looking for sound effects for Anything, may Taira Komori's website be with you!
Tumblr media
🍰 Venka's Crafting Script works!
… Well, inserting the latest recipes gave me a weird problem where recipes from, like, Number X to Number Y did not appear. I still have no idea why (I thought the numbers were connected to some variables that were also used in the game or other scripts, but that doesn't seem to be the case, so who knows?), but I solved it by simply dubbing the recipes that didn't appear in the number following Y onwards.
🍰 The cutscenes exist. It's a great achievement. The fundamental parts are there, the scenes of four out of five customers and the ending are missing. I hope I don't get stuck as usual-
And so?
Initially, I wanted to post the whole game in Italian, and then translate it as soon as possible - This is because, 100%, I would not be able to finish the game and translate it by the jam deadline. However, the RL has landed like a volleyball in your face as you walk courtside, and in the next few days I won't have as much time to dedicate to it as I would like.
SO! For the jam I will release a demo. If you stop to read the flavor texts and talk to everyone, the gameplay can last about twenty minutes. Seems like a good timing to me!
In this way, I will be able to publish both the Italian and the English versions. Since the game is 80% ready, I plan to get back to it as soon as I have a bit of a break.
And that's all for now!
To the next time! Hopefully with the demo-

You have to cook, okay, but how do you have to cook? With Venka's Crafting Script!
I loved this script from the first time I saw it - I even replay the demo from time to time as if it were an actual game. So I promised myself that I would use it, sooner or later, and here it is!
The only thing, is it seems like I can't change the green of the button and it looks terrible but-
Obviously, there aren't just three recipes, it's that I made the screenshot when I started implementing them in the script. After a moment of panic due to the amount of instructions and add-ons, it's actually not a difficult script. (… At least for now.)
Obviously part 2, the text of the English version will be in English. Except for the names of the recipes, which will remain in French - "Chantal" is a French name, so her recipes also have French names. *Logic!*
(From the ingredient icons you can already imagine that these are not the recipes you already know. But, given the population, does this surprise you?)

Hey, remember when I said that Pink Pro was a cute and cozy game? No, because luckily I never wrote it!
It didn't become horror (No mood swings like Dreaming Mary or Wadanohara, sorry), but Chantal's past and Janet's kidnapping forced me to draw up a list of warnings that I didn't think I would put in a game like this. Oh, well.
Warnings:
Sort of body horror? (99% 'cause, you know, monster girls)
Abduction
Attempted choking
[Mentioned] Bullying
Hatred for "the different one" that can be interpreted as racism or homophobia
Something more positive: it's not possible to get a game over and the two endings are both positive. Whatever Chantal is seeing in this screenshot, it will end well!
For her, at least.

Hi people!
Today I present to you This Tomb of Ours, "a short, story-heavy RPG with some puzzle elements and a lot of dark places to explore" by GrandPiekron!
The sprites and busts of the two ladies of this story were made by me ☆
Tumblr media
Meet Erin!
She's a young archaeologist who loves her work and her pockets. She's also willing to return to a horrible place and face her fears in order to explore it and investigate it, and finally give peace to more than one person.
Tumblr media
And Kat?
I think she has some impediment at the moment.
Plot
Two years ago, a terrible tragedy took the lives of a group of archeology students, leaving Erin Hauser as the sole survivor. A month ago, people began going missing near the very same tomb where the incident occurred. Unable to move on from the loss of her best friend, Erin returns to the site of her ultimate failure to discover why missing persons reports are piling up in the region - and do whatever she can to resolve the issue, so that her friend can rest in peace.
About
The game participates in the 20th RPG Maker Horror Game Jam (Theme: Remember the Dead) and the 30 Day RPG Maker Themed Game Jam #12 (Theme: Tomb of the Ancients).
These themes are obviously perfect for November but, if they are about the plot of a game, it is obvious that there will be some suffering. For more than one reason. And yes: we're talking about tombs (Unbelievable, right?), physical and metaphorical.
Given the jam's deadline, it's not complete yet, but that's something that will be remedied soon! (!)
Come take a look~

Chantal's room.
Less "aesthetic" than one might think, but no one (apart from Janet, her friends and half of the city) knows it anyway-

Janet’s clients!
Five classy (?) ladies, and one of them is not suspicious at all.
Their names also come from the animals they are inspired by:
Nicopte: Flamingo - Phoe[nicopte]rus
Deilela: Elephant hawk moth - [Deile]phi[la] elpenor
Byma: Axolotl - Am[by]sto[ma] mexicanum
Saster: Starfish - Pi[saster] brevispinus
And Margrit, totally not the antagonist, whose name comes from the margarita. Why the margarita? Because there's a version of the bloody mary where, instead of using gin, you use margarita - And the result is called "pink mermaid". This is because, initially, Margrit was supposed to be a mermaid. Among the NPCs it is possible to find fairies, goblins and spirits, so it was not strange that among the secondary characters there was a mermaid. In the end, however, I found that "the pink manta ray" was perfect for her ♡
About the others' designs.
Nicopte is tall - Very tall. I don't know if I'll be able to convey the idea with the sprite, we'll see. The dress and the hair might remind you of Jessica Rabbit, and you wouldn't go too far. In reality, she has a tight dress to make her look even taller.
Deilela, as clearly visible, has four arms. Make her sprite will be fun, or maybe not. Her style veers more towards punk, but all things considered she looks like a fairy. (My beta, @time-lapse-games, claims she's a Winx. She's probably not entirely wrong.)
Saster isn't inspired by the monster from Pan's Labyrinth, it's just that starfish have eyes on their ends. But, yeah, she can totally do the scene from Pan's Labyrinth (I'll probably do a screenshot redraw one day). Her hairstyle should resemble a star.
Byma is an axolotl because an axolotl was necessary. You can't make a work with pink animals and not include the axolotl. And her design is exactly that: an axolotl. It doesn't need gijinka, it's beautiful just the way it is.

Chantal's clients!
Will she be able to give them customized sweets while avoiding everything they hate? Hopefully yes, because otherwise her reputation as a great pastry chef would suffer a serious blow-
Their names come from the scientific names of the animals they are inspired by:
Loseica: Pink cockatoo/Galah - Eo[lo]phus ro[seica]pilla
Kenicea: Hopkin's rose nudibranch - O[keni]a rosa[cea]
Silsdia: Pink handfish - Brachiop[sil]u[s dia]nthus
Sus: Piggy - [Sus] domesticus
And Zora, from "roza", "pink" in Esperanto.
Yes, there's even a human. In Rhodopolis you can really find everything.
Regarding their designs, Sus and Zora fall into Harajuku Fashion, with the former inspired by classic lolita (Because she is an ojousama) and the latter by fairy kei (Because she is the only human, so she is inspired by a supernatural creature (?)).
Silsdia, on the other hand, is more "granny style" (No flying slipper, but she can flip your face with a pat), while Loseica is more of a very light elegant punk (She's a career woman who doesn't give up fashion!).
Kenicea is a tentacled blob in a furry dress. Obviously you can't see it from the bust, but she's the only other character besides Janet to have more than two legs - Many, many more.

¡Hola a todos!
I would like to announce that, from today, Interview with a succubus is also in European Spanish ☆
All credit goes to acadizs! Muchísimas gracias!
I took advantage of this to make a single build with all versions - Now, like in normal visual novels, you can choose which language to read, instead of downloading multiple files. Let me know if there are any problems (๑꒪▿꒪)*
¡Espero que disfrutes de Entrevista con un súcubo!

Thanks to everyone who played Three Yellow Quartzes!
Even if it is complete and released, there are a few things going on behind the scenes:
There are some wonderful people who are helping me to make the characters speak in real English! I hope that the English-speaking audience will soon (?) understand better what I wanted to say-
A small project I was thinking of doing right after the release was a free databook - Because the bonus room is missing and I can't talk little. However, I had a lot to do, I'm halfway through and already 30+ pages in, I decided to do extra drawings- So, things went a bit long. I hope I can show it to you within the next decade!
In the meantime,
🎃 Happy Halloween everyone! 🦇
Have fun tonight, see you next time!

The deuteragonist of Pink Pro, Janet!
More about her:
🍰 “Janet” is one of those names that I like and wish to use somewhere. I remember that the first time I heard it was a thousand years ago, in Yattaman (Ai's name in the Italian version was, in fact, “Janet”). 🍰 I discovered orchid mantises with the pokémon Lurantis (One of my favorites) and I immediately adored them! When I thought about this story, I immediately decided that the deuteragonist would be an orchid mantis. 🍰 To be honest, sweet lolita is probably the lolita style that interests me the least (Not that I don't like it, but I like it 7 when I like the others 8/9) but, if I had to think of a humanized orchid mantis, I would immediately think of it in sweet lolita - For the colours, for laces and bows that recall flower petals, and because the wide skirts and long sleeves are perfect for those who have pincers for arms and four lateral legs! (Also, I find quite relaxing drawing lace.) 🍰 Completely by chance, I found out about a type of magnolia called "Magnolia Jane". What were the chances of finding a tree that produces pink flowers with a similar name of a character based on an insect that camouflages itself among pink flowers? I had to put it in-game, and it's the name of Janet's bakery!
You can't see it from the bust alone, so here's some really very absolutely neat concept art:
Tumblr media
As I said, Janet has four lateral legs and, because of this, I was a little scared for her sprite. But here it is (This one too is made on the sprite bases by Guildmaker7):
Tumblr media
Yeah, I know. It seems like she's…
Tumblr media
But it's intentional! And I assure you that in-game she's very cute! The best thing is that it took me less time to do hers than Chantal's. (!)
Then, I know that in the bust/title screen the antennas are upwards and in the sprite are downwards, but upwards in the sprite they came out rather ugly. Well, it's not like they're fossilized, she moves them and uses them, so there's no problem (!?).
One last thing:
Q: Has Janet ever tried to behead Chantal? A: Oh, no, these practices aren't used anymore! ... A-Anymore..?

The main character of Pink Pro, Chantal!
More about her:
🍰 "Chantal" was the default name I gave to the main character of my essays in elementary school. She has finally found her own identity! 🍰 As already mentioned, she may seem human, but she isn't. This obviously affects her. 🍰 I've always wanted to make a character with a decora kei aesthetic and I took the opportunity! Did I say that it would be difficult to exactly replicate every single accessory between the title screen, busts and CGs? Well, there's no problem, because only once I finished the bust I realize that it already has different accessories compared to the title screen!!!11oneone Oh, well, basically the decora kei stands out for its multitude of accessories, right?
And here's her sprite:
Tumblr media
I waited until now to do it because I had no idea about the typology.
Since I felt like it, I decided to gather all the "pink" sprites I had, between the VX Ace RTP style ones and the Mack style ones, but I wanted the important characters to stand out (Also to, like, visually direct the player-). I had an idea of making them in a 100% customized version, but the style gap was quite ugly to see.
Tumblr media
(Separated they are beautiful, together a little less.)
Then on itch.io I found Them: Guildmaker7 by Despair Party
It's gorgeous. They're all gorgeous.
Something different from Mack and Looseleaf (Although deeply loved, huh!), in various sizes! I couldn't resist and here's the result. I like it and it blends well with the NPCs and graphics.
/Good, now I have to do it with people who have four legs and/or tails.

Interview with a succubus has surpassed 100 downloads!
I know it may seem like a "small" amount but, for me, it's truly incredible - It's my first visual novel, my first attempt at Ren'py, my first participation in a jam, my first completed project. Knowing that it managed to catch the attention of so many people, to convince them to try the game, even do let's plays, is wonderful!
So, thanks to everyone who wanted to give Sairshe and "Nobody" a chance ❤
Hope you enjoyed spending time with them!
