Fun fact, JVC manufactured the Commodore 1701 and 1702 monitors for the Commodore 64 (left) but also made a bigger 20" version (right). I didn't realize the 1702 had a "big brother" until this one came up locally. It has BNC connectors for composite or a VTR connector if you had a system that used that.

Some photos from the Wisconsin Computer Club's Open House Show in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on 3.30.24. As usual I got pictures mostly at the start and end of the show when there weren't as many people around. All involved had a great time!

WCC Website is Fixed!
We hired a pro, and I'm pleased to report that the Wisconsin Computer Club website is now working properly again! If you've ever had trouble with logging in or your notifications not being sent to you, those should all be fixed now- though do reach out if you're having any trouble. As usual, with any email system from a small site, check your spam folder and your email preferences in the site settings. Many thanks, and happy posting!

Such a neat idea and a good looking machine- shame the performance held it back so much. It does make me wonder what a portable Amiga might have looked like if Commodore had been mad enough to develop such a thing.

Venture Electronics Video Sports from 1976.
This one is a fan favorite as Pong consoles go, and a regular at WCC events. The big "turntable" style paddles are very nice to use.
I'm a big fan of old tech that has a nice tactile element to it, and this is definitely that!
The Portland brand portable solid state TV behind it is a fun little set too that usually goes along with this one.

It was some sort of full size AT machine, but it's been modified into something else. Will be interesting to see what's really going on in there, and what it could be going forward. Cases this big don't turn up every day!

Have a look at this!
OdySim: The Magnavox Odyssey Simulator (Windows, 2015 onward, simulating games from 1972-1973)
It's a simulator and not an emulator because in the world's first home video game console, there was no CPU to emulate - just raw electronics. You can download it here - it'll show the manual, along with game rules, and you can download the simulators here (homebrew games will appear first, with the originals being in the 'Old versions' folder).
You can read original manuals here.
Pictured below: Odyssey inventor Ralph Baer.
