Sailor Moon 30th Anniversary Set Customer Edition #1
This is finally my dream come true after 1 year! I have a physical location to do Afternoon Tea for dine in! I don't own the space but I have a nice arrangement that customers pay an extra $10 for the dine-in experience. No more worries about how to reheat food, make tea and clean up after yourself. I think $10 is reasonable for a service fee.
I love how these shots came out! Such nice natural lighting. I wish I had a good camera 🤔 Sailor Moon has waaaay too many different items to represent her. I think I would need to make 5 different tea sets to get every I want to capture for her.
Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Set for 2 - Customer Edition #1
Savoury flavours inspired by the Wall Market in the FF7 Remake. (。・ω・。)ノ♡
Savouries:
Buster Sword - Meatloaf Sandwich
Aerith Garden - Cottage Pie
Characters - Bulgogi Maki
Moogle - Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Gougere.
I've been really into piping cream cheese lately. If you would eat a coloured cheese cake why wouldn't you eat it savoury? ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ Wings are made from rice paper \(๑╹◡╹๑)ノ♬
Sweets:
Midgar - Matcha White Chocolate Bento Cake
I chose Matcha for this cake to represent the Mako /Mako. I got this 3D printed locally and then made a silicone mold to make it all edible!
Sephiroth, One Winged Angel - Dark Chocolate Strawberry Eclair
Early Birthday Set for Haruka! The customer asked to upgrade their savouries to a bigger size so this will differ from my original set. She also came to pick up earlier than expected so I had to improvise some of the savouries 😅
I tried to do a fancy picnic and make it look like I was at a bath house while at the park 😂
Yubaba - Butterfly Pea Cheesecake
Soot Sprites - Nutella Choux Pastry
Kashira - Matcha Mochi Cookies
Super soft and soooooo gooey! I loved them so much! Having the heads on the cookie was also super hilarious 🤭
No Face - Black Sesame Cakesicle
Ootori-Sama - Avocado Puff Pastry with pickled quail egg, red onion, furikake
One day I was walking through the supermarket and saw a bag of pickled Quail Eggs. I thought these would be so good on an avocado toast 🤔 Then, I immediately thought these would be so cute as Ootori-sama from Spirited Away!
Thankfully it worked out 😂 Who is your favorite side character in Spirited Away? I love how derpy Ootori-sama is they're super up there with Soot Sprites 🥰
Haku - 3 PC Green Dragon Roll
Haku Dragon Roll! Or it was supposed to be 😅 I had to make a last minute decision when I found out that the Avocados I bought a week prior wasn't ripe (ノ´・ω・)ノ ミ ━┻
The few that were ripe was prioritized for Ootori-sama instead <( ̄︶ ̄)>
I saw the cute Turnip Head Turnip Cake (Lo Bak Go) on a Subtle Asian page (Facebook Group) last year! I thought was wayyyy too perfect of a savoury and I had to do it sometime 😂
I had been set on doing this for a year so I decided to make savouries to pair with Turnip Head for this set :D I was browsing around Oomomo (Japanese dollar store) and saw these cute frying pan sauce dipper for bento boxes. It was then I immediately knew what I would do for calcifer (≧▽≦)
I love this image transfer technique I saw commonly used for condensed milk jelly cakes. I also discovered that images transfer really well on eggs. So I decided to try it on flan! And it came out amazing. The image manages to stay under the caramel for at least 6 hours before it started to fade from moisture.
I did Magia Record so of course I had to do Madoka too!! I love most magical girl series but, as I became older and angsty I really appreciated the approach of Madoka. The younger me wants to hold onto the hope of the friendship and love is magic bullshit but I've come to know how trash some people really are. Watching Madoka just made everything seem more realistic in a magical girl setting. It really reflected the greed and selfishness of human nature.
Madoka was everything I was secretly hoping would be in a magical girl series. Not everyone became friends, they were territorial, lack of optimism in their choices and death. Sailor Moon will still be my all time favorite but PMMM is a definite second favorite. I feel people are able to emotionally connect better with Madoka.
Sweets:
Soul gems - Butter Cookies
Soul Gem Accessories - Oreo cupcakes
Grief seeds - Pistachio Mousse & Chiffon Petit Fours
Kyubey - Matcha Macarons
Savouries:
Witches - Chicken Samosas
Witche's kiss - Feta & Caramelized Onion Tart
Bebe/Witch form + Mami - Short Rib and Mushroom Bun
Magical Girls - Ham & Cheese Finger Sandwich
The soul gem cookies were waaaaay to gorgeous, I absolutely love them. You can't see it but they were sparkly AF
Horde of Kyubey Matcha Macarons, they were so cute.
These Soul Gem Accessory Cupcakes were everyone's favorite dessert for the weekend. Super moist and just the right amount of sweetness. A lot of people made comments that Madoka & Kyouko's Soul Gems look like something else 👀😂
The grief seeds were the second favorite
ヽ(。◕o◕。)ノ
I hated making these. It would be better if I did it again but with cocoa butter for the details. This concept was a bit too ambitious for my poor pastry skills but I am content with how they came out.
To go box for 2. I love having different designs for the same desserts. It really helps make each box unique! But I get confused sometimes trying to make sure that the box has an element of each chapter and no repeats 😂
Edit: is it just me of is the photo quality terrible? 🤔 Click the pictures I guess for not grainy images? 😆😅
I can't believe I have never seen or heard of this show until now! It's so good and way ahead of it's time. One of the creators of Sailor Neptune & Sailor Uranus made this show so of course it was awesome! The sound track was also so good. You have to appreciate the music from the 1990's 👌🎶
I spend so long on all my streaming services trying to decide what to watch. Then 2 hours pass and I haven't chosen anything and I finished my dinner 😂 One of the reasons why I love custom orders is because you get such good anime recommendations.
This was my first custom order request made back in June and my last set for the year! After 6 months it came to life! This was definitely none of my favourite sets as I went out of my comfort zone to try new things! I am definitely not a baker, that's why I love to collab because I suck at decorating. It took me 10 tries to pipe a rosette on the cupcakes 🙉
I didn't want to tie any collabs down during December as I knew it was busy for everyone. So, I was super adventurous and made macarons for the first time! Not regular macarons but, Character Macarons 😱 I followed all the tip highlights by the ever so amazing @macaronart and other that they fact that I burnt a few, they all turned on amazing! I appreciate all the macaron makers out there because it was a really time consuming process and I honestly would rather pay you your prices 😂
This was a French and Japanese Fusion Menu! This is definitely my favorite Savory Selection to date! I'm glad that the birthday girl loved it 💞 I went with duck as it's commonly used in both cuisines. I feel as though a lot of Japanese cuisine is already French Fusion so it was easy to come up with the savouries and sweets. 😻
Sweets:
Rose - Hazelnut White Chocolate Cheesecake
Utena & Anthy - Matcha Macaron
Chu-Chu - Hojicha Cream Puff
Rose Seal Ring - Chocolate Castella, French Buttercream & Edible Chocolate Ring
I wanted to go with winter flavours and Christmas Classics for the theme (except for Matcha 😂😂 But I love matcha) So far the favourite Savoury has been the Pikachu Quiche! I love the design of it, it was just the right amount of parsnip puree 🤤
My personal favorites are the Pipulp Brioche Doughnut and the Alolan Vulpix. I love Meatballs and cranberry sauce 😻
Which Pokemon are Christmas themed for you?🤔
Menu:
Bulbasaur - Matcha & Vanilla Petite Four. Decorate the bulb with a variety of chocolate and edible paper ornaments.
Pipulp - Chocolate Candy Cane Donut
Jirachi - Eggnog Cheesecake
Snorlax - Chocolate Yule Log with German Butter Cookie
