hi hello!
some pretty common welsknight design headcanons i've seen are:
long blond hair, often with long bangs! he deserves to be in a shampoo commercial fr (akaruiknight's design my absolute beloved) i have seen buzzcut wels designs before though (kbmrjmd-art's design for example), as well as some with brown hair bc of it being his canonical hair color (for example artemfluid)
a scar on the face, usually the nose? (ex: justtrashperson, sickcroww30)
a cloak of some sorts, usually red or blue (some designs that come to mind would be those by kiwinatorwaffles, silverskye13, and mod davs (12davs21))
wings! (he's very bird coded, though this might've come from yes wings club - don't quote me on that) i've seen bird wings, dragon wings, and very recently moth wings bc of the minister of light thing going on! (i might've started that but i'm not sure)
building off from the previous point, from what i've seen he's usually headcanoned as a human or avian though of course there are variations! aside from dragon and moth like previously mentioned, another pretty common species headcanon i've seen is lion or griffin! (i can't for the life of me remember their actual user but the mod of hermitcraft-daily has a delightful lion wels design!)
armor designs vary from simple to really fancy n pretty! and honestly some people forfeit the armor altogether for just something casual and medieval styled as well (i'm. guilty of that a lot lol)
and i think that's about it? i hope that was helpful!
also dropping my wels design under the cut just cuz :P
my welsknight design alternates between brown (natural color) and blonde (dyed) hair that's like shoulder length-ish (sometimes tied into a ponytail) or a bit shorter than a mullet - but whatever the length, i'm a welsknight floof believer lmao (helsknight gets the long silky hair privilege :P)
i also usually give him brown wings that are a shade of brown slightly lighter than his natural hair though i often forget oops
for ears, i generally go for pointy elf-like ears with some kind of gold earrings or winged ones since they help a lot with expressiveness
with armor, i go for simple and silver, with a red cloak and black boots! outside of that he has a tunic/poet shirt

For the wels headcannons:
Long hair, can't cut it due to knightly tenets and stuff, so he braids it most of the time :)
I always draw him with Elf ears, nothing too pointy, I usually make em kinda droopy (my pfp is a good example)
Freckles!!!
Battle scars ofc, I like to think that most of them aren't actually from battles and more from accidents

alsooo i feel like a lot of the joys of a welsnight design is in the armor. i kind of still like how i do mine. but i must admit. it makes no sense LOL. armors are hard :(

“Do. You. Yield,” he forces through his teeth. He’s breathing heavily now, dizzy from blood loss. The scratch on his cheek is nothing compared to what’s soaked his clothes, and he’s sweaty and covered in dirt and he’s buzzing with the fight, with the taste of revenge.
