Howdy howdy, I'm still around (have been this whole time, just quiet and going through blocks for both art and writing for the most part, halp lol) but given a lovely conversation I've been having with someone on Ao3 I miiiiiiiight think about doing some more Karkat x Reader fics? We shall see~ Thinking about married life stories considering the first set was dating life stories
In any case, I'm working on two writing prompt lists so I'll be posting those soon if you like prompts :3 One is OTP themed with dialogue sentences and the other is specifically heart themed, so who knows? If you like 'em, please feel free to use them (no need to tag me buuuuut it'd be nice to know if anyone's putting them to use? Up to you though)

Worked a bit on updating the blog formatting for Escape Hatch, so now we have buttons! There’s a rating/content warning page, an about/Q&A, and a few other links. Also thinking about adding a page for fantroll information once that becomes more relevant (and I’m able to draw ID pictures for them?), we’ll see! Definitely pleased with how this is turning out though :3

@squoriel Ah, mostly it’s that I don’t know the audience? AO3 has been really super nice, so if the readers there are like them, it should be well and good. Also just hoping that people take kindly to stories that are mostly just OCs and a somewhat different take on the established game systems, but I think that’s less of a worry considering Vast Error has done so well. (EDIT: checking the website again, it looks like there are more adventures like this, so perhaps it’d fit in much better than I was originally concerned about?)

Should also mention that Escape Hatch is best viewed from its own page in a desktop browser. There's HTML formatting and colors in there, trust me! It's just that Tumblr's posts don't like to show all the specific colors 😅 (and this may make things a little harder to read when the rest of the cast is together and chatting it up in the IM system...)
The rest of the theme may be kind of minimalist now but that'll change over time

Escape Hatch
Soooo because I’ve actually somehow managed to get something written for those aforementioned fantrolls (and have really poor brakes when it comes to some creative project ideas of mine lol), I’ve decided to go ahead and try making a fancomic in a similar style to Homestuck for them. There will be pictures and writing... and that’s about all I can guarantee for now because that is all I have the energy and patience for lol. Will update sporadically based on if there’s content for it, ADHD moods, etc. If you decide to drop by and read, I hope you enjoy! :D
(And as of right now, you get to meet one of the fantrolls I’ve namedropped in Karkat’s novels lol :3)

So apparently there’s a Kinktober prompt list with “heartbeat kink” for day 5?? I can’t find this list anywhere so I’m wondering which one all these people are using...
And on that note, given I don’t personally read smut, the AO3 tag for “heartbeats” currently feels to me like being stuck on a small island surrounded by ocean with little to nothing to drink lol (for others it’s like a fountain flowing with party punch). Will probably end up making a Fluffvember prompt list for this and you better believe one of the days will have heartbeats as a theme (maybe with a bunch of other unusual prompts? 🤔 There’s a lot of possibilities here and I’m getting ideas lol)
...This is probably an odd thing to feel so strongly about but hey, it’s good motivation to inspire fluff. Fluff is excellent X3 Also good inspiration for, as they say, “write it yourself” so guess what I’ll be doing? lol

I can’t believe I didn’t notice until today that Karkat has a recuperacoon on the meteor 🙃 Makes me wonder if he alchemized it sometime after Murderstuck or if he shoved his old one into his sylladex at some point before their game ended. Hm... I’m thinking the former personally, but still
Regardless, there it is, in all its bug-like and sopor-y glory. This may or may not affect this current writing challenge, we’ll see. But it’s a good detail to know about

Was thinking about possibly going back and adding a second chapter to all of my works that had typing quirks in them that’s basically just plain text (and thus making them more accessible)
Meanwhile I’m about to start posting a new series where I take a Kinktober list (this one created by @masked-fox-creations) and try to write each entry in as SFW and “innocent” (if not downright cheeky and/or trollish) a way as possible for the challenge of it lol. And tbh I’m kind of scared even though I’ll be clearly labeling it as such lol

Hmm... What with the new information about Act 3 coming out, thinking I'm just going to go ahead and share a thought I had about lime bloods in general (I don't think we have any new info about them, this is just me musing in text), and we'll see over time if there's any weight or merit to this headcanon (if we get any additional information at all, who knows). I think lime bloods are more than likely to have some kind of genetic mutation to them that could manifest in a number of forms.
I'd go further into this but spoilers, a ton of speculation, the current internet climate, and being tired and on mobile aren't helping lol, so I'll only elaborate if people ask. But I just wanted to get that out while it's still somewhat speculative and theoretical territory
