âWork ed for, past tense,â The taller one corrected, âWe work for Brekker, now.â
âRight,â rubbing her brow exasperatedly, Nina tried again, âYou two worked for Eric Verzamelaar, the run-of-the-mill investment banker who keeps half of Ketterdamsâ books at the Exchange. But now you two work for Kaz, because last night youâre claiming your old boss âkidnappedâ him, tortured him, and was subsequently killed by our boss throwing a steel cart through his head?â
âYes, but thereâs more to it than that!â The smaller one groaned, âAnd if youâd let us finish - â
âI think we would have noticed if Brekker was kidnapped,â Matthias shook his head, his voice firm but kind. âIâm sorry but you must be mistaken.â
âWould you?â The taller one bit out, eyes narrowing, âCause last night he was, and none of you seem too concerned about it. I thought you lot were supposed to be his crew, or something.â

The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. The old lady with a yard unreasonably full of tacky ass lawn ornaments is having a blast, HOA be damned.
Don't waste your time being too cool to have fun, y'know?

Thank you! đ Always honored to hear the comic does the book justice. Iâm always trying to capture my initial vision of the book, so Iâm glad that people share that vision with me. So far, Iâm almost done with the pencils on the next pages, so I hope I can finish them soon!
Early days kaz and jesper. Kaz doesnât have his look down just yet, neither does jes. I always liked to think that jesper joined the dregs before the bank heist, making him the first crow to ever do a heist with kaz. Idk, jesper being the first crow is so special to me.

Iâm in Poland and they keep showing this pizza advert and itâs amazing.
It starts off with rival pizza makers who argue over who has the best pizza and are driving the customers away
Then thereâs this crazy old lady who yells at them from a window to quit it (because where else do you yell business advice from?)
So they work together and do some obvious flirting via pizza montage
And the old lady is all like âjust kiss alreadyâ
Then they create a pizza together, combine restaurants and live happily ever after with the crazy window lady
