I’m probably asking the wrong person, but why do you think the Amma/Camille fandom is so tiny? I know it’s just a mini series and a book but I thought as a dark femslash couple, it be a bit more popular when I started shipping them last year. I need to write something for them or atleast find more shippers that are really into them like myself.
sharp objects was one of gillian flynn's less hyped novels due to the content and lack of relatability, and even though it's a perfect translation onscreen (and in my opinion, shines brighter in hbo's miniseries than its novel counterpart) it deals with very trigger heavy content that is too upsetting for a large sum of an audience. that, and the fact that it's a permanent one-season show, isn't something that keeps public attention imo. i think the fandom is saturated mainly by people who are drawn to relationships like the one between amma & camille and we're a niche audience ourselves. i wish it was bigger too

Have you ever consider writing anything original? I love your work and with you consider opening up commissions, I would like to see you tackle something in that area
anything original i'd write would be so fucked up and incesty or agegappy that i'm afraid it'd royally turn off audiences, but yes it's my dream! i love media that's heavily centric on shifting morals and it's the niche i've wormed my way into, so writing anything that would appeal to a broad audience is a little nervewracking. what would you be interested in seeing from me?
