i was thinking about friendship again because i asked my trio if one of them would do my hair for our outing. i just didn’t feel like messing with it, it’s a mess unstyled and the layers are uneven. they were on facetime (because they’re dating and it’s okay that they have a separate relationship outside of our friendship) and friend one replied with “ms [friend two] requested”.
come to find out they bickered about who could do my hair.
we have such a “yes of course” friendship. and i love them.

to add on to this, the nations are so much more blended. not even like less divided due to being at peace. i’m talking blended as in fighting techniques are so common knowledge now.
especially with pro bending being a world wide enjoyed sport. it’s just basically studying the bending types and it’s abilities and giving it to the world.
we also see this with lightening bending and metal bending. these used to be lesser known things, lightening bending even being a spiritual one. but because their technology has advanced and given the world communication, it completely loses the philosophy.
this is my biggest topic on avatar and the differences between the two that make them incomparable. korra was isolated, trained only in the physical arts of being that avatar. there’s no philosophy for her to learn, no spirituality to her bending. and it’s literally because of technological advances.
it’s also a good representation of what actually happened when we as humans made technological advances but i don’t feel like typing out how the iphone ruined everything right now so i’m done for the night.
