Thank you so much for commissioning me! I had such a pleasure working on your commission and with you as well!
♥️
By the way, there's a timelapse of this piece right here:

I won an office betting pool last week and my boss told me I was required to use the money to treat myself and, let me tell you, did I ever! I used it to have @valerisalo make me an amazing picture of my two most treasured Tolkien characters, Éomer and Théodred!
Anyone who knows anything about me knows how much I love these two, and to see them here in a quiet moment of cousin/brotherly companionship (and both rocking those House of Thengel dimples!) makes me so happy. Every time I ugly cry my way through the Fords of Isen chapter of Unfinished Tales now, I’m going to look at this and heal my heart!
I have never commissioned art before (even just that phrase kind of blows my mind because commissioning art sounds like such a Catherine de Medici move to me!) but Valeria is a lovely person and was absolutely amazing to work with! The whole process was fun—she sent me updates along the way so it was like unwrapping a gift in slow motion!—and she has a ton of beautiful examples of other work on her site if anyone else is in the market!

Way back in April, I was working on my piece for the Star Trek AOS @aosrenaissance zine. I'd originally planned a four-panel comic, but true to form I only managed to get the main, fourth panel painted in time. However, I did ink the other three, and here they are! Pulled out of my WIPs draw to finally get painted and finished soon, watch this space.
Inked with dip ink pen, Indian ink, and Pentel fude pigment extra fine brush pen on cold pressed paper, each approx A5 size
Last year was sometimes pretty harsh, but it was full of different king of work. I obviously painted a lot and transformed my style a bit to achieve not only a pleasant and interesting visual, but also to make myself happier and feel more relaxed and confident while drawing.
The best gift for an artist is sharing their works, so feel free to share some of my works in previous posts or share this one with my favourite works!
You can also support me by donating via Buy me a coffee. I would truly appreciate it!
You might remember the sketch for this upcoming artwork with TOS Jim and Spock having a nice story time from Captain Kirk himself.
Therefore, to see current progress and support your local trekkie artist (me), you can check out my Buy me a coffee.

FINALLY, finally after two days of struggles with the idea and composition and characters, I've managed to sketch both Jim and Spock.
At first, I was gonna redraw one of Leyendecker's painting, but I wasn't quite sure that I wanted completely copy his idea, so I came up with this scene of Jim and Spock just casually talking. Spock is listening to Jim so attentively, because he loves his stories from the Academy or earlier times. He enjoys his company so much. I love them.
Do not and I mean it DO NOT draw whatever you're not fully interested in or you will waste your time on trying while you could have painted something you're fond of. Like Star Trek.
And do not, I repeat, DO NOT start other artwork when you're not finished with the previous.
Girl, you'll get fucked if you aren't going to listen to yourself.
Little update on this one. Made a clean line art and started with Leo. I assume that he may look a bit weird now, 'cause of the white background, but it will eventually get better.
I promise.

Getting started with the new Mirror!Bones x Spock (mirror spock? i dunno) painting. I've been struggling WAY too much with the sketch to make it look the way I wanted it to. Yet, it went out pretty good, so I hope that I won't ruin everything while actually painting it. This one was inspired by the sculpture and the painting as well.
There's no backstory for this one probably, I just really love Mirror Bones with his left eye blind and a scar on his face. And also I was willing to draw blood, so I came up with the wounded/dead Spock.
