hello my tumblr little siblings, this is gonna be a bit of a continuation of my post from yesterday, saying to activate night mode on your devices. i am yet again so.so sleepy but not i am also semi-coherent, so this should be a bit more along the lines of mg usual posts on this blog.
the other day i decided to turn on night mode on both my cellphone and the computer that i use for school, because i thought it might help with my eyestrain which gives me pretty bad headaches some nights, even with my glasses. i was very right. i also knew that it is intended to help reduce the impact of your devices on your circadian rhythm, making you sleep better when youre supposed to. i always thought that ok it probably does actually have an effect but not a big one. i was wrong.
the past nights ive had my devices like this i was actually tired when im meant to go to sleep, which never happens. i also slept better than i have in a long time. obviously this is just one person, but im just saying its worth a shot. theres no guarantee itll solve all your issues with sleep, or even help you that drastically, but itll probably help a bit and its not gonna hurt anything to take a minute or two and go set it up
or if you already have night modes on your devices or just wanna do more maybe theres something thats a common solution to a problem you have, whatever that may be. so well known its a given on any list of things to do about *problem you have*, and youve always just brushed it off as not something thats gonna help you, but youve never actually tried it. whatever that thing is, and whatever its for, thats what i want you to go do right now. just give it an honest try, and if it helps, great, but if it doesnt, at least you know that now

reblogging this from main to tell yall to go into the settings on whatever device youre using and set up the night mode. you can do it just at night but because i have really bad headaches from eyestrain i set it for all day. it might fight with you, but if it doesnt you can take screenshots and ill try to help you, i guess?? idk where i thought i was going with this, anyways set up warm modes on your devices, im going to bed now because as i said above i am so.so sleepy and also it is my bedtime. try to get some sleep ily gn

hi, lately ive not been checking in much, i started school and its difficult, but then again it always is. so here are some reminders to help make school somewhat easier:
try to get at least eight hours of sleep a night, and try to sleep at roughly the same time each night, even on the weekends. easier said than done i know, but you dont have to be perfect, its totally fine if one night you can only manage seven hours of sleep one night, or even if you cant sleep at all, even just lying in bed relaxing for a few minutes is still better than nothing. my point is to do what you can manage, because its better than nothing.
try to eat enough for yourself. i dont know your body, i dont know what nutrients you need more or less of, i dont know how many calories a day you need. listen to your body, eat when youre hungry, stop eating when youre full, eat what youre craving and try to find ways to make eating enjoyable. i know for a lot of people this is difficult, and i tend to struggle with this myself, but it really is important to practice listening to what your body is telling you to eat, and it is something that you need to practice
take care of your bodily hygiene. if you struggle with that, its perfectly ok to figure out workarounds and it doesnt make you “dirty” or “bad” or anything else! if you cant stand showering cause its too quiet play some music! if you lose track of time while bathing put a clock in your bathroom or set some alarms! if you struggle to stand up while showering you can sit down! either on the floor or you can buy a shower chair! theres no rules against that! theres no rules period! if it gets you clean its good!
do your best to make your environment comfortable for yourself. that might be as complex as setting an entire weekend aside and cleaning your entire house, or it might be as simple as getting up and resetting the thermostat. it doesnt matter what it is, if you are comfortable physically you will be better at school
dont forget to interact with people who care about you. i know a lot of folks dont get along with their families, but if you do talk to them, talk to your friends and if you dont get along with them get new friends, you dont deserve that kind of negativity in your life! talk to the people you care about and who care about you, youll be doing both of you a favor, and if you dont have anyone else to talk to you can always message me

hello yall, im checking in a little bit earlier today than i normally would, because todays been a bit much for me, but my reminder for you today is to get some sleep. you need rest, its so incredibly good for you and you need it so badly but people tend to be very willing to go without it for reasons that they probably wouldnt deem worth it if they thought on it. so go to sleep, and i promise that whatever thing you “need” to stay up all night doing will still be there when you wake up if you still feel compelled to do it. and if it wont, then just think about wether or not its really worth how terrible youre going to feel later without sleep. im not saying you have to abandon that thing, just consider more carefully if its really worth it to you, and regardless, try to find a way to get enough rest tonight, luv ya
