I love making things. I love that I’ve mastered skills that allows me to manipulate materials into an object. It is my happy place. I love knowing that I’ve chosen a path of doing something I’m truly good at♻️💕
Mending matters🪡 You don’t have to throw something away just because it has holes. Mend it, don’t follow a pattern, but do follow your creativity. Throw rules out the door and just do what you want. Don’t sew? Hire a sewist and mender( hi, it’s me) to create a piece of custom art for you, their creative heart will thank you and their small businesses needs and deserves to be hired for custom work 💕🪡 This is a custom mend job I did for a customer on a sweater they loved with many holes that the moths chomped on ♻️🧵
A lil Sewing ASMR for you 💕honestly I love moments of silence where I can just listen to the different sounds as I create. From the cutting of the fabric to the purring of the sewing machine( and my cat😻) , it’s my favorite creative space to be in 🪡 🧵
My handmade, upcycled costumes ; my version of Elphaba and Glinda. 95% upcycled, and I did all the patchwork myself on the coat, the skirt, and the hat with scraps of fabric. Pants used to be black and were paneled over in pink. Broom, wand and crown were made by me as well..my shoes, patchworked.. so super proud of these costumes. My skills have gotten much better over the years! it took me two months to make both of these, and it was well worth the effort, hubby and I had so much fun!
Re- binging Anne with an E and still crying at every episode with all of the squishy emotions and now I’m mad all over again that it wasn’t renewed 🌸 🌱 💫
repairing is such a unique and beautiful way to honor a garment that may be falling apart. Just like people fall apart and need love, so does your clothing💕
