Start of the Comic

Next Previous Chapter 5 Cover Comic Cover Support the continuation of OTV on Patreon, and you will get to see the pages done before anyone else :  PATREON For every $100 goal that's reached, another page will be added to the workload of the month ^^  As of writing this, two and a half pages will be done each month. And so begins the continuation of the comic!  We'll be returning to see what Asriel and MK are up to, along with OTHER Sans and Papyrus.  Later in the chapter, we'll see what's happening with Frisk. As I said in the previous update ( HERE ) the process will be different than it was before.  The style will be simplified to a sketchy look like my "Slice of Undertale Life" comics, and the amount of pages done per month will entirely rely on the support of Patreon.  I'll still upload the chapters in chunks.  The first chunk of this chapter has been planned out and is made up of 20 pages.  The first five pages are already up on Patreon.  If you'd like to see the pages sooner, consider supporting the comic on Patreon to both see the pages early, and maybe help push for more pages to be done per month. ^^  Otherwise, I'd appreciate it if there were no complaints about the wait for future posts.  Thank you! Yep, after a year long break, OTV is returning!  But it won’t be as it was before.  I will need to ask for some help to keep it going if you are able to. The style of the comic and how many pages I do a month will highly depend on the support it’s able to recieve. The amount of work that was put into the pages was too much to continue it at the pace I made for myself, heh.  That being said, to start off at least, the pages won’t be coloured.  It will be in a black and white style with cross-hatch type shading similar to my “Slice of Undertale Life” comics.  Some important panels or pages may have colour and shading added to it, but not always.  I haven’t decided if I will include animated panels or not.  Again, it will depend. But anyway, here are the goals I’d like to aim for to continue this comic!  This would not only include drawing the pages, but also planning and organizing each page and future chapters.   Support it through my Patreon HERE!  www.patreon.com/AbsoluteDream $200 per month:  Two non-coloured, lined pages per month And for every additional $100, a new page will be worked on each month (no colours and shading, but there might be some painted black and white backgrounds) This is what I’ll start off with.  Any support would be greatly appreciated, but of course no pressure to do so if you’re unable!   The whole reason why I’m getting back into this is because of all the kind and generous comments I have received over the past year.  And I just hope that you will continue to enjoy the story, and that I won’t disappoint, haha.  The rest of this month will be dedicated to planning out the next chapter, and hopefully get some roughs done! Have you thought of making a Patreon for this? I absolutely love your comic and I would love to see the end of it. I would be able to put a couple bucks now and then, and maybe some other people would.

A few have mentioned financially supporting the comic, and I really appreciate the thought!

I've actually been using Patreon for the comic since I started it I think. While I greatly appreciate all the help that was given, it was not quite enough to support the time I was already putting into it. Which is why I mentioned I may have to go at a slower pace from now on, and maybe little to no animations. I may have to completely rely on Patreon support to see this comic through, which might mean one or two (normal sized) pages a month. I'll post an update, and maybe list out some goals to see if the community may help in making more, but we'll have to see!

I appreciate you guys still wanting to read this comic! I was worried it'd be a 'forgettable' comic to be honest when I started it, haha.

Hey! No worries, it has been a while, and I know people are wondering if I'll be getting back to the comic.

I don't think I'll be getting back to it just yet. I do need to focus a bit more on work and commissions. But I hope everyone will be okay with waiting a little bit longer. Also, when I do get back to it, it won't be at the same pace as before.

There’s no set date right now as I’m still taking a break.  I’ll post an update when I do decide to continue it though!  Thank you for reading!

(If you're not up for reading everything, here's a basic summary)  How long will this break be?  I’m afraid I can’t say for sure.  At least a couple months.  I will make an update for when I feel I can continue! First of all, thank you so much for your support in the creation of this comic!  And especially a big thank you to anyone who supported me through patreon!   Nearly 3 years ago, I began this big project.  The kind words, and comments of support really kept me going as I worked on this nearly every week since it started.  But as much as I love working on this story for you to enjoy, it was only a matter of time before I started feeling tired and a bit worn out, heh.   As much as I greatly appreciate the financial support through Patreon in keeping this comic going, I still needed to donate my own free time to keep up the pace I had set for myself.  Each page roughly takes 6 to 10 hours to do (not including the initial planning/writing/thumbnailing phases).  This is another reason why I haven’t been able to include any animated pieces as I had done before, as that would add many more hours of work. Time isn’t always on my side lately, and I have been really wanting to do more outside of this comic when I do have free time.  I miss animating, I miss working on smaller projects, I miss being creative in general.  While I had a blast working on this comic for the first couple of years, it pains me to say, but the enthusiasm has worn off.  It happens with all big on-going projects.  I realized I needed a break for a while now.  But I was determined to finish chapter 5 at least, haha. I really hate disappointing people.  But I am only one person working on this project, and I need to regain some of my enthusiasm. X’D Once I figure out when I can continue, I will create an update.  However, it’s very likely that I will be working at a slower pace.
