how does dingo feel about being in the circus ?

He was… very scared at first. He acted much like a terrified animal, and refused to cooperate with the rest

Once he calmed down and successfully settled in though, he realized that the circus was somewhere where he could do things with little to no consequences, much like a videogame, and began to genuinely enjoy it

He’s even fine with the (apparent) lack of an exit, and is in no rush of leaving at all

Unfortunately nobody else agrees with his sentiment

teen/more grown up version, i had such a hard time with the colors on the legs and arms and neck i swear-

i love drawing them. jax and zooble are not great parents but thats ok 🥰

i like to think that if Pix picked up her parents' personalities, it would pretty much just be a mix of smug asshole and short tempered with an attitude, thus creating an absolute menace to the whole circus.

Jax/Zooble because I lovbes them

Summary:

“Drown yourself in the digital lake”

Jax chuckled as he remembered Caine’s words. He had tried that once. Not specifically to kill himself, but morbid curiosity. He wanted to see if he could. If he would drown.

He didn't. Instead, there was just a strong, heavy pressure around his full body, and when he breathed in the water, it only made him sink more and more till he reached the bottom of the lake. He was there for what felt like hours.

“That” Caine had started to say when he found Jax thirty feet below sea level “will never happen again.”

(Or: a character study with a lot of water metaphors and also gay people)

I can finally show off something that I've been cooking up for a while...

Meet Pix! My Zooble x Jax kiddo :3

More info under the cut in case this turns into a bit of a long post <3

So, funny thing- they're kind of an accident. The way I picture their "backstory" is that, one day, Caine was messing with the circus' code, and found a line of code that went along the lines of:

if COUPLE {

Children = False

}

...Not thinking much of it at the time, he switched the False for a True, and quickly forgot he found that line of code at all. Then later that day, Pix was "Born"

They showed up in proximity of Zooble and Jax. They assumed Pix had to be some sort of weird new npc Caine added, but why a low poly bunny? It also seemed to follow them wherever they went.

And so, they caved and asked.

Caine was surprised that the code had done anything at all, but he explained it to the two.

A very funny situation.

Despite coded to be their child, Pix is rather simple AI. They're set to follow after whatever their parents do/say, even taking things literally. They also don't speak. It's more like having a pet, really...

...A pet rabbit to be specific.

Also, since Zooble and Jax are its parents and it partially borrows code from them, they can access its code and modify it in multiple ways.

Like switching up its other ear. But then some other body part would become wireframed. That's just how its model works, for some reason.

While Pix's relationship to their parents was awkward at first due to their sudden existence, as time went on, they warmed up to them.

Zooble tried not to get attached, but in the end couldn't help themself. Jax on the other hand, didn't really want anything to do with it until he found out Pix could follow his orders. THEN he was fine with the "parenting" thing.
