I don't understand, why is it a problem to want people to be happy in shows?

it's not a sin to have happiness in shows but forcing happy endings when they ultimately don't need them is stupid. trevor didn't need to come back, let him stay dead and allow his sacrifice to have meaning (despite that fight being total horseshit and unnecessary to begin with). let saint germain remain an asshole 'till the end instead of doing some heroic deed for literally zero reason despite his entire character being one dimensional the whole show. allow for tragedy to make a good story flourish instead of forcing this happy go lucky narrative just bc we want the ships to be ships.
