Two Chinese words you do not want to confuse (trust me):
ๅบ่ฝจ | ๅบ่ป chลซguว - to be derailed; to go off the rails / to overstep the bounds / to have an extramarital affair
ๅบๆ | ๅบๆซ chลซguรฌ - to come out of the closet; to reveal one's sexual orientation
I often confuse these two, so if I read about a celebrity cheating scandal, there's a 50% chance I'm accidentally going to say said celeb came out of the closet instead.

Comparing Chinese character readings in Japanese & Korean pt 1
Fact : Japanese and Korean have a lot of words from Chinese. Because of this there is a lot of words that sound the same or similar. Also this plus the grammar being the same is the reason why Korean is the easiest to learn for Japanese people and vice versa.
