When I was three years old, my aunt turned on E.T. while babysitting us. The scene with the boy walking out to the shed scared me so badly that I refused to go into my backyard at night unaccompanied for the rest of my childhood. And teenager-hood. And adulthood.
I still have anxiety about this, and I still hate that stupid goggle-eyed alien.
