Hello there, Animal Crossing New Horizons players! Would you like a tracker for the ENTIRE critterpedia so you KNOW you won’t miss any critters each month? Here’s one all ready to go* https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bpvK0rOUzjWhqU-qATCfCTnOaLqFDgSua9OPjLwdnM8/edit?usp=sharing…
This Google Sheets document will:
Allow you to track critters you’ve caught
Allow you to track what statues you’ve got
Lets you check at a glance the selling price of every critter
Gives you a guide to when and where to find every critter, including shadow-size for fish
Uses colour coding to distinguish between critters you have and haven’t caught, whether you CAN catch them in the month you’re playing in, and whether they’re about to go out of season (with additional colour coding to ensure critters you;re about to miss have been caught or not - all at a glance)
(*for the Northern Hemisphere, I can whip up a crude S. Hem one later OR you can edit the headings at the top of the blue/yellow section to be 6 months off, but because of the formulas used to make the formatting work that’s the only thing that can be done without some significant fucking about slkdjflkgj)

ACNH—Advice to Save a Life
Here are just a few things I’ve learned from playing, watching videos and otherwise trying to figure things out.
1. Unwanted Villagers? Talk to them. A lot.
Ever wonder why your favorite villagers are always asking to move out but the ones you hate always seem to stick? Well contrary to popular belief, ignoring them, abusing them and/or complaining to Isabelle does nothing. The key is to talk spam them into oblivion. Yes. You have to kill them with kindness.
(  Ignoring them only becomes effective if you’ve already built a rapport with the villager. Hitting or push bullying is sometimes effective, but it depends on the personality and method of abuse. The key is talking to them. Repeatedly. Spamming the talk action back to back until they essentially have a nervous breakdown. Doing that multiple times a day will prime them to move out over time. Give it a try and you’ll see what I mean. )
2. Looking for Rare Mystery Islands? Clap for the Dodos.
In one of the videos from Nintendo Direct, it was hinted that the type of islands you can get when using Nook Miles Tickets depend largely on their mood. The key way to influence that is to use the Delight reaction repeatedly until Orville (the dodo at the counter) blushes. Get him to blush two or three times and you can raise the probability of getting a rare island a great deal. Try it out and see for yourself!
3. Wasp-Catching is an Art Form
Just a small hint here, but if you consistently fail to catch wasps, the key is to stand in front of the tree as you shake it. The moment the nest falls, your character will pivot to face the wasps. If you have the net out (which you should) you can hit the A Button immediately and bam—they’re caught! You get a sticker for catching five in a row—and also, they sell for 2.5k a pop. Not bad eh?
4. Shake Those Trees!
A way to beef up your catalog quickly and to get lots of items for trade is to use the Nook Miles Tickets to go island hopping. In at least one tree per island (excluding those with nothing but bamboo or fruit trees) there is a random item you can find by shaking the tree once. Be sure to observe the above advice and have your net out when you do it! You can also do this in tandem with villager hunting, which is a way to also maximize your DIY, fossil collection and nab a fantastic villager at the same time—so be sure to save up those miles!

Other Helpful Tips:
In order to see villagers on mystery islands, you need to have a villager plot already set up on your island for them to move to. Or else they won’t show up on mystery islands.
Once you unlock terraforming, you’re able to place sand squares on the grass to plant beach trees (Coconuts and lets hope Bananas) on top!
ALL Balloons stop spawning after achieving 300 ‘pops.’ (x)
To get the most out items of rocks, dig holes behind your player so they have nothing to bounce into and you have time for an extra hit with your shovel, giving a total of eight max items.
 DIY: Tarantula Island!!
Please tag me if you’d like me to add anything to list this and I will!
& Thank you to everyone who provided all the information used, you are so appreciated!
