I know this is like thousands of years late Although it is a critique and overall an opinion I think I’ll have to clarify a few things here. First regarding the rape, yes ofc rape is a real issue and shouldn’t be taken lightly which it wasn’t. People make characters in books movies (Orange is the new black/FMA/memoirs of a geisha/kill bill vol. 1 etc that were sexually assaulted all the time if you’re gonna come for a characters backstory for including real events that partake in reality come for ALL characters that deal with this, this isn’t my reason for doing it to further clarify. I wanted to make a character that allowed a certain demographic of people to feel included, no one adds sexual assault to a person or character because it’s taboo like child abuse drug abuse that a character experiences it resonates with people and allows them to grow closer to such a character that’s faced a common tragedy. (Rose from FMA was raped and even give birth to her abusers child) so you gonna “critique” that? Quite a reach if you ask me. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Furthermore, Kagura’s “bland” victim backstory is what founds her climb into independence taking back was lost when she was abused. I also wanted to stray as far from the Mary sure demographic as possible sorry if you’re into that weird shit but I’ll pass. There’s nothing special meant to be about Kagura as she is just one out of thousands of ninjas going through life I’d rather not steal spotlight from actual main characters of the story I’d rather create my own regarding my own OC’s and how the events taken place in the anime affect them. And third a pretty obvious one I guess Kagura’s bio has since changed and further developed into a rounder story yes back then it was made by a teenager as most OC’s at that time were big whoop. Lastly critiques are meant to be OBJECTIVE not SUBJECTIVE let’s not attack the actual creator and rather keep it amongst the characters yah? It’s a tacky move to hate the maker and the character for no reason but I’m sure you’ve changed since this is hella old lmao I just wanted to dispel the rape taboo here. Theres nothing wrong with creating a character who was raped if you honestly felt that way then you probably didn’t watch a lot of TV just saying 🤷🏽‍♀️.

honestly tho that scene in the incredibles where mr. incredible sees the names of all the old super heroes that used to be his friends / that he knew from Back in the Day and how every one of them has been killed by syndrome is such a chilling scene for so many reasons 

like for one, everyone he knew is dead at this point and has been killed on the same island he’s at now and two, its heartbreaking bc that means that almost every hero wanted to try out being a hero again despite the laws against it and wanted to try and help someone out and relive their glory days, only to be straight up murdered like fuck that scene is just so fuckin intense
