Man something I have not stopped thinking about is how part of why Midst podcast is so mind bogglingly good to me is because of how Third Person makes it. The whole thing is basically them just making up a story in beats and arcs ahead of time, and then RPing individual scenes.

They thought about what kinds of narratives sounded compelling, what ideas they wanted to see in the world and/or story, and how they wanted the story to unfold… but they didn't write scripts. Instead, they rolled up with maybe like an index card of story beats and scene summaries and then started recording [tangent: they shared the outline of the first episode and it's hilarious it's like 5 bullet points very cool stuff].

WHICH MEANS that all the dialogue is improved which makes me go [cartoon foghorn mallet-bonking cockle-doodle-doo] because some of the dialogue is [cartoon cymbals crashing cat yowl stock sounds of a crowd cheering]! Like I don't know how else to say this but the words that they are saying makes me feel like my brain is getting vaporized.

Also, it's seems wierd that both the bank teller and King Skarl turned grey. They're both skeiths, and that feels like it has to mean something.

The fact that Jonas Spahr seems to be heading on an express route to Breach, while totally reasonable to us the audience, is absolutely fucking nuts from the perspective of your average Trustee, since they lack the context of his internal monologue and several key events that were not part of the public record

To become incredibly Canadian for a second, the average citizen's perspective on the matter would be like if the federal government blamed the cost of living and housing crises solely on the Governor General and had him removed from office, and he turned up a week later having joined a grassroots anti-monarchism movement. Divorced from context Spahr's turnaround time from key government official to seditionist is absolutely ridiculous

We all making jokes about Zuko working at the tea shop as firelord, and how humble he is towards his servants. But what if a diplomat from the earth kingdom shows up one day and catches Zuko in a more casual outfit while being ushered through the palace. The diplomat mentions something about how Lee must be very good at making tea if he was sent all the way to the fire nation and asks to be served during the meeting. Not one to turn down an offer Zuko obliges and disappears off into the kitchen. The diplomat sits down at the meeting table, awaiting the arrival of the firelord when his tea arrives. He pours a cup for everyone sat around the table including the firelord. The diplomat inquiries when the firelord will be joining, to which Zuko responds by sitting in the throne at the head of the table.

It will be wild to see what the price drops too. There are so many already on the trading post and auction house!
