haha wow isnt it super great that tien served a wonderful time as a messenger boy for amarams army and then was allowed to return to hearthstone and continue his carpentry apprenticeship and collect a ton of cool rocks and become known for setting stones into his furniture and carvings isnt it so cool

Which is your favorite kind of rock?
Pretty ones! Hehe. Sometimes I find rocks that sparkle and I think those are the best. Other times there's these rocks with layers in them that have all kinds of different colors and I think those are really beautiful too!
Kaladin says they're silly, but I always see him smiling when I find a new one and give it to him. He thinks I don't see him but he's really not as sneaky as he thinks he is.

What was the one thing that Tien most regretted?
Well, I feel really bad that Kaladin had to come with me into the army. I'm really glad that I'm not alone, but I know that if it wasn't for me, he would be in Kharbranth right now learning to become a great surgeon.
Sometimes I wish I were stronger so that I could stand on my own. I feel like I'm holding him back sometimes, but I know he'd never say anything...
