Spooky season! I really wanted to draw a pumpkin head character and I really like the result!

Nightwing is one of my favorite comic book characters and I just really wanted to draw him! This is my first attempt at drawing him and I think I did a good job!

This is yesterday's post that didn't go up.

Meet Wai:

Wai is a water genasi sorcerer criminal mastermind with a 30+ kill count. She is bloodthirsty and ruthless and cares for no one except herself. Then one day, she angered the wrong man and he cursed her to a weakened state with the hopes of being able to defeat her. She escaped and drew back to lick her wounds, now physically her 8 year old self and magically inbetween. She hides away, regaining her spells and power, but struggles controlling complex spells that she had no problem with when she was older. Now, Wai hunts for the man who cursed her despite not being back to full power, or rather in spite of it. Along the way, she had to keep hidden from people hunting her bounty and those with personal vendettas. If word gets out about her being weak, she's done for.

Wai is a character I came up with my dad. My dad is a big dnd fan and it was fun being able to create her with him. Her name has a significance to me because it's the Hawaiian word for water. My family immigrated from Portugal to Hawaii, so it was important to me. This is the culture that raised me, my dad, and my grandma. Hawaii has a special place in my heart and is the one place I consider home.

Drawing IcarusPendragon in my new style was an experience. Lately, I get into a headspace of no thoughts, head empty when I draw and this was no different. It's not a bad thing, its actually really good. When I'm thinking less, I doubt myself less and end up with pieces like this, versus what I was producing before. This was also one where I went with my impulses and got an amazing result! Originally, I was going to do a plain background like yesterday's Frankie Stein, but then I started adding clouds and it just turned into this! I do love the end result, but she does look more like a Thor variant.

As usual, I posted to instagram first and then twitter and tumblr by which one I open first. I schedule my posts there and I'm thinking of posting daily at 8am! My username is the same across the board (thusfarart). The reason I bring up instagram is that I scheduled a post for 8am this morning and woke up later than usual to see that IcarusPendragon had already responded and posted to her story with my art! Out of all the tiktokers I've drawn, she's my favorite not just because she's fun to draw and I love her content, but also because she responds so quickly to her community. Even though I know she does this for everyone, it does make someone feel special to get a comment, a like, and a mention on their story, without even asking for any of those.

My art style has definitely changed in the past 11 months and I really like where I am with it.

Frankie is one of my favorite characters in Monster High, specifically G1. Originally, I planned to use their Skull Shores palette and style, but ultimately decided that their original palette and style were better for this particular drawing. I did keep their hair in the same style as Skull Shores because it is my favorite of their hair styles. I hope you like this! I have much more to post and to draw!

Wow, my last post was 11 months ago! Time to fix that I think.

My first attempt at Stranger Things fanart! It's Spooky month so here is werewolf Steve, vampire Eddie, and witch Nancy! Not my best work but here you go! ^.^

@icaruspendragon is probably annoyed with the amount of notifications she's getting from me crossposting this picture on my different socials but it's my favorite drawing so far and a great start for my art being uploaded over here!

For those who don't know me:

I am a homeless(for now and only technically) digital artist who started up about 6 months ago! I stream video games on twitch with my best friend, miss_majora. We're both LGBT and ADHD and we're definitely chaotic. My commissions are nearly always open because I don't get enough to need to close them, but I'm sure that's because my art still needs improvement. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter (shame we don't know who wrote it) and Percy Jackson and everything I've read of Neil Gaiman so far. ThusFar and Tim Drake are my usernames everywhere because Tim Drake is my favorite Robin. ThusFar started because I see every post I make as just a little bit of my journey "thus far." Bit cheesy, but what can you do lol
