"Y'all aren't taking this seriously enough"
I can't speak for everyone (there are definitely some tasteless jokes and ignorant commentary out there), but a lot of people are just using humor to cope, because let's be real, this whole situation is just. Insane.
Kendrick is exposing Drake for serious crimes but also doing it in a way that's designed to be funny and entertaining. Is it any wonder that people are being entertained by it, then?
Thankfully, I don't see anybody making fun of the victims or the very act of sexual assault, molestation or grooming. Everybody's clowning on Drake because he deserves to be thrashed.
That said, I hope that when the dust settles we can all have a serious conversation about rampant sexual abuse in the entertainment industry. It's way, way overdue at this point. We gotta make sure that predators like Drake don't exist. There need to be mechanisms of accountability for predators and abusers regardless of how rich or famous they are. We can't rely on famous artists to use their platforms to call each other out like this, especially since most of the time, famous artists protect each other.

academic bias is so funny because you’ll be reading about the same historical event and one person is like “Despite the troubles that befell his homeland and near constant criticism of the court King Blorbo remained strong in the face of adversity” and the other one is like “after letting his people carry the brunt of his cringefail decisions Blorbo the Shitface refused to listen to any reason and continued to be a warmongering piece of shit. Also he was ugly.”

When I was younger and more abled, I was so fucking on board with the fantasy genre’s subversion of traditional femininity. We weren’t just fainting maidens locked up in towers; we could do anything men could do, be as strong or as physical or as violent. I got into western martial arts and learned to fight with a rapier, fell in love with the longsword.
But since I’ve gotten too disabled to fight anymore, I… find myself coming back to that maiden in a tower. It’s that funny thing, where subverting femininity is powerful for the people who have always been forced into it… but for the people who have always been excluded, the powerful thing can be embracing it.
As I’m disabled, as I say to groups of friends, “I can’t walk that far,” as I’m in too much pain to keep partying, I find myself worrying: I’m boring, too quiet, too stationary, irrelevant. The message sent to the disabled is: You’re out of the narrative, you’re secondary, you’re a burden.
The remarkable thing about the maiden in her tower is not her immobility; it’s common for disabled people to be abandoned, set adrift, waiting at bus stops or watching out the windows, forgotten in institutions or stranded in our houses. The remarkable thing is that she’s like a beacon, turning her tower into a lighthouse; people want to come to her, she’s important, she inspires through her appearance and words and craftwork.  In medieval romances she gives gifts, write letters, sends messengers, and summons lovers; she plays chess, commissions ballads, composes music, commands knights. She is her household’s moral centre in a castle under siege. She is a castle unto herself, and the integrity of her body matters.
That can be so revolutionary to those of us stuck in our towers who fall prey to thinking: Nobody would want to visit; nobody would want to listen; nobody would want to stay.

Another thing about the labels. Sydney is caught on Carmy and what he labels claire; she says this is the most essential thing Carmy needs to decide on. But the conversation is truly reserved for herself, and for a moment, it doesn't matter if they fail or pass the suppression test or the chaos menu; he needs to define the girl who's taking away time from their relationship.
From what Sydney says, girlfriends—a companion, a girl Carmy is close to—should be the one who looks at such a private thing as the menu; it's Carmy's creations, a girl who's part of that process should be a companion. Claire, the friend, sees a part of Carmy reserved for Sydney. Clare sees his vulnerabilities and fears. She's seeing and hearing about his complicated past. He's opening up to someone else, not Sydney, which poses a conflict that Sydney demands to be solved instantly.
We believe that Carmy initially passed the suppression test by correctly identifying Claire as his girlfriend, but the following episode shows that he made the wrong decision in choosing her as his partner.
I wonder if Sydney is aware of how Carmy feels about her. I believe she understands that when he speaks to her, there is a deeper meaning behind his words. For season 3, she deserves clarity in their relationship.
