hc that angel can play the piano really well. his father was obsessed with status, so when he was young he was given lessons, and that knowledge just never really left him. of course it’s put in the backburner once he’s in hell- he doesn’t really have time to indulge in his hobbies much- but when he moves into the hotel and finds an old piano in one of the lounges, that becomes somewhat of a stress relief for him. when he can’t sleep, he’ll wander down to the lobby in his sleep shorts and an oversized tee and play old lullabies he remembers from his mother, or songs he would dance to when he went out to bars, or- rarely- pieces he’s composed. he’s a natural-born performer, of course. this is what he loves to do, and it’s something that val can’t take away, that everyone else can’t ridicule him for— this is his safe haven.
(the only one who knows is husk, because sometimes angel wanders down a little earlier and plays as husk cleans the bar, and though husk can’t see him, he hears the sweet music and angel’s soft voice. he really shouldn’t be as enamored with him as he is.)
