Swiftly and without much effort, the blonde descended the stairs of the Rue Royale, the last stack of aged boxes in hand.

"Mon dieu, I do believe that is the last of it. " he proclaimed, as he placed them gently on the floor; opening the top box, hoping to find the lights he had in mind with minimal effort. White lights were on the agenda. As was an elegant gold and red Christmas tree color scheme.

"Do you see the white lights, ma petite fée?"

Ahhhh! I’m so sorry to anyone waiting for anything from me. I locked myself out of my account and couldn’t figure out how to get back in. But, this morning by some miracle my password  and login went through.

That isn’t peace Nicolas thinks to himself. The love they share feels like warmth and comfort and joy but he knows its a lie. Sin always feels good. The heat that rose to his skin at the sight of Lestat was a pale echo of the fire that would burn his soul eternally in Hell. 

But halfway through this thought Lestat’s lips are on his, and it’s too good not to indulge, if only for a moment. 

“Please” he whispers in answer. And his own voice sounds so pathetic- like a child, like a kicked puppy- that he’s disgusted with his own weakness. But he melts into Lestat’s hands nonetheless.

The softness of his request caught him slightly off-guard though he smiled despite his concern. The thespian’s fingers gripped the fabric of his dear companion’s shirt, pulling him closer to him as he rested himself more comfortably along the lumpy bed. 

His fingertips rubbed soft circles into his brooding beau’s head, watching to keep from tangling the brunette strands. His lips parted though he remained silent for a few seconds as he considered what he had agreed to. Did he know a lullaby other than that one. 

“Nonna nonna, la bimba” Lestat began, his soft and sweet tones dancing on Nicolas’ ear. “mia l'angelo l'addormenta~...” Why had he agreed to sing a lullaby after all? Perhaps because she was on his mind at the moment. Or perhaps because he was curious if he even could still remember any of the words given how infrequently he had heard her singing them.

“Noo... se l'addormenta adesso che... something, something.. s'addormenta da sola.” But, mon dieu, quickly he failed! He finished with a soft laugh, as his fingers continued to softly stroke Nicolas’ hair. 

“Well... never mind. I suppose that is all I know both of Italian and of lullabies.”

“But, if you wish for more music, Nicki.  I might sing you one of Louise’s ballads. Though, I’m not sure if you will approve of my range anymore than hers.”

Jk. But, honestly, I... am incredibly surprised, touched, and overwhelmed by your kindness at saying all that. I generally haven't followed other Lestat's on this blog BUT, there are so many others whose threads I've seen and whose interpretations I deeply admire and adore.

When you get so drunk and emotional on a date that you have a breakdown. Then you make out with, flirt with, and then proceed to cry with your bf until he carries your drunk @$$ home.

And then you call him to hang out again the next morning.
