additionally; the autosave currently does not work as intended, so please make sure to save manually, and should you wish to continue your save in the update do not save on the final thank you/demo end screen as it will be removed in updates

In this demo you can (and will);

learn a little bit (just a little bit) of context behind your situation;

choose the gender of A. Bellefleur and T. Bellefleur;

decide whether your MC will (start out) bloodthirsty, indifferent, or guiltridden;

also decide whether you were hired for your military knowledge, your diplomacy, or your charm/etiquette;

sort of meet the King and Queen.

it is a relatively short prologue, i will admit, but i do hope you enjoy!

Honestly, what better motivation than your spouse wanting to work for a way to communicate with you. No one ever did make that effort for Naja. Not even their own family.

So this is why Naja gets so attached so fast to MC.

Apologies if it's already been answered but regarding Naja: how do they communicate? Do they sign at all, or write?

The thing with Naja is that they often don't even feel the need/pull to communicate - either verbally or non-verbally.

It's only upon meeting the Monarch, the first person they feel comfortable with in years, that Naja starts to try to communicate, because they want to make an effort to be a good spouse. When they can't talk (which happens all the time at first, and almost always in public), they will write. Or sign - however they know very little sign language, unfortunately, so they will need to learn together with the Monarch.

Thinking about a Monarch who loves Kaela's hands so much that they'd kiss their fingers every now and then or maybe just ask Kaela to stroke their hair.

Who has a bit of a hands fixation? Kaela. So having both partners obsessed with it is such a treat.

Kaela would let MC hold and kiss their hands the whole day. And they would rest the monarch's head on their lap and stroke their hair peacefully for hours.

idk if we'll have the option in game, but my MC is going to give Naja little treats and shower them with gifts 🥰 spend as much time as possible even if they are busy bc Naja will always be their priority. Thinking about Naja is what helped them staying alive during their captivité and the fact that Naja searched for them for years, didn't give up on them is something she'll never forget

Naja honestly just wants to feel safe and warm, possibly close to the Monarch. They don't require big/constant gifts, but they would enjoy immensely being given things that belong to MC, because it makes Naja feel cherished and special.

THAT would make Naja's whole day.

Hey author i just wanted to say that I really love this story, and I can't wait to just hold Naja really close, I really think she's cute.

So i wanted to ask, how would the RO's react to a monarch that follows them like a puppy, that wants to stay close to them at all times.

Naja is, indeed, adorable.

Naja: Naja does exactly the same, so the Monarch and them are always seen together, since both are basically following each other, being as close as they can.

Valaahr: Val doesn't have a problem with this, unless the Monarch is tacticle - because Valaahr doesn't enjoy casual touches unless in an intimate setting/situation. Still, having the Monarch close helps them feeling less paranoid about MC beng hurt.

Kaela: they are extremely confused by this, at first. Because Kaela has spent a lot of time being either ignored or uncomfortably observed, they don't know how to make of their spouse being so close. Then, they start to get accustomed to it. And then they come to feel soft about it.

While a demo would be cool you shouldn't just feel the need to deliver since that can cause you to push something you aren't proud of out. Take your time, writing an IF is hard and it takes time there's nothing wrong with working slowly.

Of course there will be people who will complain no matter what but you shouldn't pay them any mind, they don't actually care about the game anyone who actually cares will be willing to wait until you are ready.

Please don't stress about releasing a demo ASAP and just try to work at your own time.

[ CHASE ] for one muse to interrupt and make a third party leave the other alone out of jealousy/possessiveness.

Valaahr is particularly... possessive lately, for the most part due to the very hectic schedule of the monarch - packed with visits from envoys, emissaries and nobles.

They find nauseating how their gaze sometimes lingers on the monarch with no shame, how they fill their mouths with honeyed words like they could change the mind of someone who stands before them all with the favor of boh gods.

When, at the dawn of the fourth day, Valaahr spots someone in purple robes subtly trying to manipulate the conversation with the monarch - their gaze evem dares to rest more than necessary on the monarch's face - the ugly clawing emotion in their chest explodes.

They march there and with the holy fury of a Gods' speaker they reduce that pitiful envoy to a stuttering, pathetic idiot. They barely feel the monarch's inquisitive gaze on them, though they take as permission the fact that they let Valaahr interrupt the meeting without a word.

Once the envoy has been shamed into leaving the monarch's presence, Valaahr finally turns.

"What was that?" you ask, your voice scratchy.

The Druid turns around to return to their duties, their cape twirling around them as they do. "You're mine and only mine."

They don't see the smile on your face, nor the loving way your eyes linger on their retreating frame.

Hi! I just discovered this, and the concept and characters are interesting to me, but I must ask a question to know if this is really a game for me or not.

So, the story part of the intro post says "When the crown chose you as its owner, you wanted peace for your kingdom. Now the only thing you crave is revenge.". But on the other hand, the bullet points mention "Will you show mercy to the ones that betrayed you or will you make all of them pay?". It's sort of contradictory if you look at it a certain way so... my question here is: what is the extent of the revenge content, and can we rather deal with it the other way, and try to get back what belongs to the MC, but without it being all about revenge and just making things right?

To me, the most cathartic type of games is when a game is "supposedly" about revenge, but you actually can opt OUT of the revenge. Nothing beats that feeling to me. But on the other hand, I'm not that interested in revenge stories that don't actually offer alternatives to the revenge.

So yeah, I prefer to actually ask for some clarifications here before I get invested, in case we can't get around the revenge part!

Hello, you pose a great question.

I think I didn't word it correctly, so let me put it this way. The core of MC's actions earlier in game will be to retake the throne (otherwise, you really would need to have a whole different game). But in achieving this, you will be able to choose how your MC goes about it.

Or, most accurately, how the slavery impacted them. Are they still able to feel compassion and take the throne without bathing in the blood of the usurpers? Or is their pain, rage and resentment too much, making them obsessed with revenge and making them enjoy punishing those who hurt them?

What I want to focus on is the range of character MC can be roleplayed in. From a soft, gentle person despite everything (able to forget, to heal and care) to someone cold, vengeful, bloodthirsty, blinded by their own pain (and everything in between).

while i am most certainly looking forwards towards the boinking scenes with Naja, more than that im looking forwards to just all the physical contact. The Monarch just always trying to hug them or sit with them and cuddle with them and just craving close physical contact with someone they care about. mmmmmmm thats the good stuff
