He wouldn’t do this normally. That was what he was telling himself over and over even as he relaxed into Alfyn’s hug. The truth of the matter was that he was definitely more likely to do it now than he’d ever been, their long journey and constant companionship wearing down his defenses bit by bit.
And the apothecary was warm, and his favorite person besides that. If he wasn’t already sticking his face in his neck, Therion would be doing it to muffle what he was going to be admitting. Apologies to those I owe asks and replies to, I have been working long hours as a manager then raiding most nights. I am thoroughly exhausted so writing isn’t really on my radar at the moment. Hopefully, I can write stuff later this week or on Thursday which is my first day off since my last pay period.

20. in a moment of worry (sorry Therion there's no escaping Cyrus when he's concerned about someone) - @truelesson || touch prompts
Once again Therion was pleased that they had Alfyn on their team. Not because he enjoyed the other hanging off him, or because he wanted to have his ear talked off about Zeph or whatever his name was. No, this time it was because whatever had been spat at him had blinded him and Alfyn was the only one who understood enough about anatomy and physiology to restore his sight without hoping and praying to a god or suggesting they just run his head under some water and hope that it washed out. It was just a shame that his solution took actual minutes to work, rather than happening instantaneously.
Therion’s vision was still mostly black when Cyrus’s hand touched his shoulder, earning him a jerk and a mostly aborted motion towards his weapon. He would never admit that it had scared him, but he was so focused on listening to all of the movement around him that he hadn’t expected anyone to touch him except for Alfyn. Their apothecary already had hands on his face trying to keep his eyes open so he could see if anything was progressing.
“ A little warning next time, eh professor? Wouldn’t want our apothecary to actually blind me while he’s trying to fix this... “
