As a Polin Stan I would just like to say for the record, myself and others do not hate Eloise and we will not be badgering Eloise stans with hate for something that is not her fault.
I do not associate with those that bring hate to other characters due to a single plot point regardless whether I like that plot point or not
I always knew Cressida was Eloise’s new friend so I also knew it was only a matter of time before polin (Penelope?) stans turned on Eloise stans and I’m enjoying seeing it happen because I always say everyone in this fandom hates polin stans for a reason. It might take a while for some to get there but they always get there.
Polin stans aren't liked by anyone except Polin stans.

As a member of the Polin group I would like to confirm that we are all very happy with the trailer 🥰
Polin fans yesterday talking about what they wanted to see in the trailer:
A kiss or near kiss - they got a kiss, just nothing to do with Polin
Penelope dancing - they got that, just not with Colin
A carriage - they got that but it was Colin and his brothers!
This is never not funny to me that Polin’s expect stuff but when they get it, it is never what they actually wanted.
IDK they're eating the trailer up, they don't seem mad about it to me.

Heyy. Idk if you still plan on doing a BOSAS polin fic but I would love to beta if you're interested
Hi! Yes sorry I’m still planning to write the BOSAS Polin fic.
Unfortunately I’m in the middle of my masters, so I haven’t had time to sit down and plan it all out on my laptop. But I go on dissertation leave in two weeks. Hopefully I will have plenty of time then to sit down and start writing - I wouldn’t say I’m the best fanfic writer in the world (I have some in progress works (Merlin & HP) on fanfic.net from the 2010s under Kind Baudelaire 😅).
I would love to have you be the beta for this fic 🥰 - it’s amazing to have someone else so invested an idea that there is support available.
I will give you a message when I have the first chapter or so started 😊

So I’m kind of in a Bridgerton / BOSAS mood at the moment and I keep flipping between the two and my mind came up with this kind of what if scenario if there was a cross over between the two.
I mean it’s Polin based fic idea - Penelope (16) volunteers for the Games after either Eloise or Felicity is chosen (but it’s really Cressida (Mayor’s daughter) fault because she hates her and wants Colin for herself) and Penelope knows that the Bridgertons would suffer if they lost Eloise or Portia does not really care about Pen so it’s better that she goes instead of Felicity.
However nightmare moment, Gregory (12) is picked (let’s say it was accident that his name was even in there - for plot reasons once a tribute is chosen from a family and that tribute wins, the rest of that family then has immunity from the Games unless they specifically want to volunteer) - Anthony has already been in the games and won so the Bridgertons were supposed to be safe.
Back to the Plot, Anthony has already been in the games, Benedict is above the age range, so can’t volunteer so that leaves Colin at 18 who can and decides to save his little brother.
Now it’s Colin and Penelope who are the tributes for their district (which breaks Pen’s heart because she loves him and knows she has to do everything she can to get him home to his family).
Plot points that I’m struggling with is
- what district would Colin & Pen be from?
- what would their talents be?
Colin is strong and probably got some training from Anthony after he came back from his games.
Penelope is more of a struggle - should I go down the Lucy Gray vibe of being secretly charming because of Lady Whistledown or go down the Katniss route of having to hunt to survive because Lord Featherington is a gambler & Portia is not exactly a hands on type of person, I.e leaves it all to Penelope?
I was kind of thinking that if doing a mash up of the interviews - like Pen & Colin’s reputation is of being protectors, they protect their younger siblings - they both get the whole you know family must be proud type thing, and the I just want to return home to them. But I’m wondering if one of them should get the Question Flickerman asked Peeta of is there anyone waiting for you?
I would love to give this to either Penelope or Colin - like he/she came here with me? and you just have the other person’s reaction to that.
In terms of mentors, I would be debating about Anthony and Kate being the pairs mentors (they won separate games) with Genevieve Delacroix or Benedict being Pen’s stylist and Lady Danbury over seeing it all like Haymitch (but without the alcoholism).
I don’t think I’ll make Charlotte president because I can’t see her in the same light as Snow, maybe she was forced to be a game maker?
I also wondered if I should base this in like the 50th anniversary of the games, but it’s still 24 tributes and the capital has agreed that if two tributes from the same district remain at the end then they’ll both get to go home?

See I was cool with the show up until the second half of season 3 when they killed Baelfire and Emma ended up with Hook like really quickly. The whole point of rumple’s story was to be reunited with his son and live happily ever after and the first chance they get is to have him killed and rumple enslaved by Zelena 😫😒🙈 like c’mon - the show just continued to get worse from there. I mean if I did it I would ended it after they all went back to the enchanted forest with Emma and Henry going with them and Rumple being alive
When OUAT Became Not Itself
There’s plenty of chatter (and has been for awhile) that OUAT was Not Quite Itself as it ended its sixth season, and made travel plans to time-leap into a season 7 without all its passengers aboard.
Actually, OUAT hasn’t been its original self since Season Two.
And here’s why (It’s probably not what you’re thinking of).
When OUAT debuted those years ago, it shook up the presently established concept that fairy tales were about Romantic True Love. [Mind you, fairy tales are about a lot of things, but by the twentieth century, and possibly shortly before, they’d been boiled down to be solely Romantic True Love narratives.]
On OUAT, fairy tales were shown to be about Parental Love, in all its shades: Grandparental Love, Step Parental Love, Adoptive Parental Love, Surrogate Parental Love, and so on.
Sometimes this love was shown to be healthy, and good. Other times, parental love was shown to be cruel and abusive, or, even, rooted in a narcissistic love of self (child as extension of self).

btw one of the key components of actually being in a healthy relationship is just asking for things that you want. i keep seeing posts on this website saying 'i really want to do/receive [X] but my partner has never done it'. just ask. 'nobody exchanges love letters anymore' ask. 'i want to have my partner's hair in a locket like the victorians' just ask. 'i want to be bought flowers regularly :((' literally just ask. your partner doesn't know they're being held to these expectations and that you're unhappy unless you tell them. it's so unfair to expect your partner to read your mind. 'it's less special if you have to ask :((' grow up and stop pretending you're the lead in a romcom. when people say communication is crucial they mean it !! just ask !!
