Hi guys! I’ve just finished putting up the final part of Yes_2day’s epic McLennon saga, detailing an AU world where John never died and had a happy ending with Paul. Here is the final (unfinished) part of the series, imported from JHP to AO3 with the author’s permission. It’s 400k!!
As far as I’m aware, the author is not around anymore. I’m encouraging you to leave comments, just be aware that “update!!”-type of comments will do nothing but clog my email. Please don’t do that.
If you’ve read Yes_2day’s series and wondered what happened afterwards… or BEFORE… this is the fic for you. I’m very glad we now have the whole of the series in an easy-to-read format, safely archived for all future readers.

New JP-community news!
Hi!!!! So the project is going forward. I am here to announce the name of the new community, and shed some light to what happens next on my to-do list. Also, MOD TEAM STUFF, so if you’re interested in that, read on!
And the name is…
as decided by you guys!
The new community will henceforth be named Woolton Fair!
What’s next?
Next on my to-do list is to create a website for the community, figure out the themes and other graphic stuff, and gather a mod team.
Mod team?
Yup! I’m looking for some 4-5 people to operate as the mod team for the new community. Right now I need help in laying the base work for the site (what do we need etc.) and the mods can help with that. We also need to lay down rules for the community. In the future the main task of the mods is to make sure these rules are followed. I myself will not participate in much of that, because frankly, I have enough on my plate (like the J/P-Library, and I’ll be concentrating on running the site and other that kind of stuff. There’s a discord server set up, all the mods are required to join it.
If you’re interested in becoming a mod, please send me a message!!
I’m asking for the minimum age of 20 years. Hopefully you have time to spend, say, 30 minutes per week for the mod work. If you have past experience from doing any sort of fandom organising (events, mod work, etc.), all the better! And you need to be able to stay neutral as a mod despite your own personal opinions.
I’m really hoping some of you would be interested in becoming part of the team, because if no one steps up and I have to do all of this on my own… well, I don’t think the community will be happening, or hold up for a longer time.
The faster the mod team is together, the sooner the community will be up!

Helloooo, it’s me again. Me, who inhabits this blog. hi. In regards to naming the new community, I received some name suggestions and now it’s time for the Poll. Vote here! (J/P-Library)
Personally I wish the name would be somewhat unique, so that it’s easy to talk about the community, as well as short and practical enough to work as a URL. (If I may, my current favourite is Woolton Fair, but that’s just me,,.)

Hi guys,
this is me veeery carefully asking whether anyone would be interested in joining a new community that could serve the function JohnHeartPaul used to have – that is, anything and everything abt John/Paul?
Ever since JHP sorta faded away, we haven’t had a proper community place for that sorta stuff – sharing headcanons, meta, facts, having an overall discussion about the relationship between John and Paul… sharing your art, sharing your fics, asking for help with writing/art/anything…. just, all that has been missing for the past five years or so, with most of the fandom now residing over here at tumblr dot com. we don’t have a community in the same sense as what JHP used to be. we’re all doing our separate blogging, and pray to some distant tumblr gods that our posts show up in the #mclennon tag. we don’t have long, interesting conversations about mclennon. we have lots of active, wonderful bloggers, but the sense of unity is missing that we used to have in the good old JHP days.
everything is just so…… separate now, and i’m yearning to have that sense of having a community back. anyone else?
A new community would also bring more exposure for content creators as well, since there would be email alerts on new posts!
So, hello, Chut here! This might really be a thing now as the thought has now evolved into full-on planning. I want to make this community ours, in a way that everyone has a chance to participate in its creation. I’ll be posting updates on how the project goes on on my tumblr.
To start off, I thought I’d ask you guys for name and feature suggestions. There will be a poll later and you guys can vote on the name! How does that sound? I will also gather a mod group to help me run the new community, since I have my hands full with… lotsa stuff, so if you’re interested in that, hit me up! It’s Big Bang time, and this year, we’re doing things a little differently!
Instead of taking the format of a conventional Big Bang, like we have in the past, the BB20 will be in the style of a reverse bang.
This means that the artists will go first! - We’re asking all artists who sign up to create two pieces of art, representing two scenes in a fanfiction. These scenes could be as detailed and specific or as vague and open as you’d like.
Afterwards, authors will be able to choose their artist to write a fic based on. This will be done on a first come, first served basis.
The scenes will simply be a snapshot of an event that could happen in the fic, whether in real time, or a flashback thought! This way, you can be as creative as you feel.
Sign ups for both artists and authors are open NOW and will be open until 16th JUNE, but artists can start to draw whenever, and we’ll collect your lovely pieces for the authors to choose from :D. The sign up form will be linked as a reblog, as well as being in our bio.
The deadline for art to be submitted is 30TH JUNE. As soon as we have reached this date, we will make a temporary masterpost containing all the art - numbered so authors can choose. This period will last for A WEEK. Then, the deadline for fics will be 30TH SEPTEMBER.

Second BB20 Update
We’re really thinking about ways in which we can make the artist/writer relations even better for this year’s Big Bang.
One way would be to make it into a REVERSE BANG! For this, artists would create two pieces of art first – two scenes – from which the writers would take inspiration from in order to write their fics.

Rebranding @Mclennonrecs
For the past year and a half, @mclennonrecs has been run in tight collaboration with the John/Paul-Library… in such that both are in fact operated by the same admins within one site. With Mclennonrecs having been intergrated into the Library in all but name, we feel that it is finally the time to make that final change.

Big Bang 2020 update!
The Big Bang is happening this year, with a revamped admin team! In previous years, we’ve tried different things to apply the idea of a Big Bang to the McLennon community. However, what works in other fandoms hasn’t always worked in ours, due to the fact we’re so much smaller than them. Especially the writer/artist collaborations. This year we’re asking you guys for your ideas and suggestions on how you want the Big Bang to be done!

Fic writing resources for the J/P-Library
Hi guys! I’m building a page on the J/P-Library with resources for McLennon writers that hopefully will include all sorta stuff from “how to write the lads” to info about the scouse dialect to more specific stuff that we might all benefit from (what does it feel like being high/intoxicated otherwise, smut writing tips, word lists, what the weather was like on that day (if you’re a detail freak like me), that kinda stuff).
I got my own resources but we need MORE, as much good sources as possible, so I’m asking if you pals wanna share your own! Anything you might refer to while writing beatles fics: sites, articles, tumblr posts, historic details about the Beatle places, anything! The goal is to make a page that would have everything a writer might need, whether they’re just starting out or are a fandom dinosaur looking for some small detail.
So if you guys have ANYTHING that you consider as a resource, submit it either on my tumblr or the Library!!
