Y'all... it gets more canon fodder

I picked up Harvest Moon DS

And he says things that are definitely straight out of 'Spouse died' Trope central.

He still stands and looks out over the beach and says "I have to work hard or [your father] will scold me when i get to heaven [with him]" while smiling.

He also mentions changing the farmer's diapers and taking care of them, and I haven't seen a single mention of a mother figure.

It may be a silly fan theory, but the whole "Takakura and the farmer's father were romantically involved" theory really brings me joy.

Seeing him blush when your kid calls him Grandpa, and the townsfolk call him a part of your family at the firework festival and how he narrates the game of the farmer's life talking to him is so heart warming.

He may be a dumb tutorial NPC to most but that is Grandpa Takakura to me and I love him.

It may be a silly fan theory, but the whole "Takakura and the farmer's father were romantically involved" theory really brings me joy.

Seeing him blush when your kid calls him Grandpa, and the townsfolk call him a part of your family at the firework festival and how he narrates the game of the farmer's life talking to him is so heart warming.

He may be a dumb tutorial NPC to most but that is Grandpa Takakura to me and I love him.

Haven't posted in a bit, but I've been plowing through The Wonderful Life Remake and have TONS of screenshots I need to post

Played through the rest of summer, fall, and winter reaching the end of year/chapter 1 romancing Cody/ゴーデｲ with Farmer Lincoln

Their nuptials at the Goddess Pond at night on new years eve broke me

As did their daughter showing up in the opening cutscene of Chapter 2.

She called Lincoln "Papa Lincoln"

I cried

Then Cody ALSO called him "Papa Lincoln"

I cried again

Farmer Lincoln was born with green hair and as a kid was like "Wow like the Harvest Sprites I read about this is so cool" and had dreams of actually being one

So when he looks in the mirror as an adult he still remembers when he was a kid and thought he was meant to be one/was related (hence his little random "I want to become a Harvest Sprite" thought)

This is canon oc lore now
