For those wondering if the integration tests went well, the answer is yes!
I couldn't post these days because my team chose me to showcase the demo to the client. The project I'm working on aims to cover all aspects of real-world work, including presenting a demo at the end of each sprint to showcase what we committed to programming.
I had to prepare the demo presentation by integrating the backend and frontend, which meant fixing many bugs. To keep it brief, the result was that out of the 4 points we committed to, only 2 are completed and functioning. During the demo, my tech leader took on the role of the client and then provided feedback on areas for improvement. It was a good experience; I had never done a demo presentation before, and I couldn't keep my legs still due to nerves, hahaha!
Yesterday I managed to finish correcting all the observations made by the tech leader, and they approved my Pull Request wiiiiiiiiiiii! Since I had some time, as I had completed my tickets, I decided to throw a lifeline to my colleague who was struggling to fetch an endpoint from the backend. After several hours and a lot of coffee, we were able to finish all the code. Today, I'll be assisting him with integration tests. I'm proud not only to learn new things but also to be able to help others.
If there's time, I'll try to finish the practice CRUD I'm working on to learn Nest
Hello everyone! 🌟 Status update: This weekend, I was busy fixing details and refactoring the code of the pull request I made. I worked hard to polish functionalities, ensuring everything is in order. I refactored some sections to enhance the code's readability and long-term efficiency. My tech leader is a genius, and I learn a lot from him. I also started doing technical test exercises to include in my portfolio. I applied for some junior frontend positions, but haven't had luck yet; nevertheless, I keep persisting.💪
Hello everybody, I finally finished creating the Cypress files for integration tests today. I had to ask for help from our tech leader on the practice squad because I needed to simulate a server response to get the user logged in. We spent a good chunk of time on it, but it was quite instructive. Managed to submit the pull request, now just waiting for approval on those changes. I think I need a bit more motivation though – I'm more into the back end than the front end, but still giving it my all!
Hey guys! 🌟 Yesterday and today I was all in, wrapping up a ticket from the internship project I'm working on. I was coding like crazy to set up a view for both the logged-in user's profile and the user without logging in. Also, had to hook them up to the navigation bar and work out the logic to connect with the Backend using React's .tsx and Axios for the fetch. 🔧💻 Still putting together the integration tests with Cypress to get that pull request ready.
I completed the to-do list project, and it was very helpful for practicing React states and using Firebase for the database 🚀.
I've been looking for information to start making a Trello clone to add to my web portfolio (if anyone has any project suggestions, leave me a comment :D) 💡
I decided to embark on this challenge to motivate myself to publish every day.
I will make an effort to keep a record of my progress day by day; it's going to be challenging, but if I could learn to program, I can surely post one blog per day, hahaha!
Day 1:
Created a Pokédex to practice API-REST and deployed it (the second project I've uploaded to the web after my portfolio).
Learned how to use the Vite compiler.
Submitted a pull request to address an issue in a group practice project I am working on at IDforIdeas.
Started studying .NEST and am working on a CRUD (I'll probably post something about it tomorrow).
Although I have not yet fully experienced the importance of community, I believe in the advantage of having someone to trust when ideas are unclear. I am here to connect with people who share my interests and, if possible, help others in their learning process
