Chapter 15
"Stop lying to me...!" Jonah hissed, shoving Oscar away.
"What do we do?" Kevin asked Oscar, a little scared.
He replied:" nothing we just keep an eye on him until he calms down on his own"
Eventually that happened and Jonah was hit by a wave of sadness and regret, he cupped his face with his hands and sighed:"i shouldn't act like this....I'm sorry"
Oscar patted him on the shooulder "call me crazy for that... but shouldn't you attend AA meetings or something?"
Jonah lifted his face" are you crazy!? I would lose my position as a priest immediately!"
"Also booze makes everything at least bereable" he then added.
Oscar sighed" so...do you want me to stay? Or you wanna stay alone? I could even take the kid with me if you want."
Jonah looked down "please stay..."
Oscar nodded and then went" Kevin go have a stroll in town"
Kevin didn't feel like disobeying the, still scary, man and went out into town with the letter to alices tucked in his pocket.
He walked aimlessly until he reached a house in the middle of corn fields.
He was about to turn back when he heard a familar voice:"Kevin is that you?!".
He turned around, on the porch of the house was Alice.
He wanted to run away and hide, but didn't.
She came closer "sorry if i mistreated you...i just reacted out of impulse...sorry again".
Kevin didn't respond right away, but gave her the wrinkled letter and started walking again.
She looked at the letter then at him "you don't want to come inside? I just made cookies"
Kevin smiled and accepted.
The house wasn't as clean and modern as jonahs but it felt more homey.
They sat at the kitchen table, on in front of another, cookies in between them.
Nobody dared to eat the first one, fearing of being impolite.
But then an unknown hand stepped in and took the first cookie.
They both looked up, it was a girl, slightly older than them, with very long, dark hair, all dressed in black and with heavy makeup like he had never seen before..
"Oh...hi Priscilla" Alice complained.
"You know i don't like being called like that, i prefer...Elvira"
"Like the woman on the tv?" Kevin asked
"Yes,as you see my sister is a big fan..." Alice replied, a little annoyed by her.
Elvira giggled "are you two gonna kiss eachother or are waiting to be alone?" She jocked.
Alice became red, to wich kevin responded by getting even redder.
"Yeah...I'll leave you two alone" she giggled.
She then left and went back to her room.

I still remember when I saw that you liked my post about my Alagadda designs and I was jaw-dropped because I had seen your art in the Alagadda tag. I still make sure to keep up with the like war and liking all your posts, I know you haven’t been posting much anymore but I still think about you and your art. You are an amazing person who really helped me feel seen when I first started this blog, I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors :)
