ENA OC: Paula
Finally posting another one of my goobs, hope my followers don't mind the consecutive posts.

...This isn't her, this is just her trust spaceship. A lot of ENA NPCs have misleading overworld sprites, so I decided I'd do that as well. The window is actually an eye and she pops out from the top to interact.

Here she is! She's a young energetic gal who speaks Toki Pona and is perpetually drooling. The leaves on the beetroot/radish/turnip/whatever also function as hands. As some trivia, her name is in reference to the Apollo missions.

Anyone else remember that one AI image of the anime girl that looked like Jeff the Killer when viewed from a distance? Probably one of my favorite phenomenons of the past few years. She was cute.

What came of that Konngara sketch I posted earlier.
By the way, if anyone here's good with sanskrit and vajrayana tradition tantras... Help me figure this out. The text in the back is supposed to be the mantra adressing Konngara-douji/Kiṃkara (オン ダラマ コンガラ チシュタ サラ). The problem is, I can't seem to find it in its original sanskrit anywhere on the internet, and its katakana and latin transliterations aren't even consistent between websites that mention it. The text I've put in (ॐ धर्म किंकर तिष्ठत् झ्रः) is the least worst we've come up with. The last word is almost certainly incorrect. Does anyone know where to find the original mantra?

I like to imagine that the strange mallet instrument from the second verse of U.N. Owen Was Her is the sound Flandre's wing crystals would make if played like an instrument. Flandre has to live with having weird chimes on her back all the time.

The average PC-98 Touhou girl and the average Windows Touhou girl for fun and maybe clothing practice. Their shirts are intentionally a little weird to match ZUN's early costume designs.

The Boss Snurp from the Switch version of Miitopia has got to be one of the funniest bosses I've ever seen. Like, Miitopia was always far from serious, however the most climactic battles still take themselves fairly seriously. In particular, the New Lumos bosses are pretty much entirely humorless (beyond looking silly when unfocused but that goes for every enemy and you'll get used to it by then), with the grand finale being a variant of the final boss that removes the main factor that could've made it hard to take the Darkest Lord seriously (being the ridiculous characters you may have cast).
Then you get to the Tower of Despair, which highlights an effect that hits all media just out of nature: The more you indulge in that media, the more you get used to its eccentricities and thus the easier it is to take it seriously. The enemies that get variants for Tower of Despair include quite a few of the sillier designs compared to the district bosses (the Gormet Burger being the most obvious example). However, you've seen those enemies so much throughout the game that it ends up just being cool to look at them with their tiled aesthetic (or you're forced to go into serious mode by how strong the enemies are). After struggling your way up the lower for a while, chances are you're expecting a third Sun battle awaiting you at the top given that the floor right before was the Light Lord and Light Sage. You reach the apex, terrified of what's to come...
...and you're faced with a giant, rainbow version of one of those goofy creatures you've used for XP farming the whole game, with visuals that intentionally clash with the bosses leading up to it. Even the music is the somewhat comical theme that's always accompanied the special Snurps. It's bound to throw you for a loop. Despite all this, it's still a very satisfyingly challenging and worthwhile bout. Normalize comical insanely difficult superbosses locked behind more serious yet slightly less difficult superbosses.

It always shatters me knowing that Queen Aluett, a frantic song composed specifically to put seasoned rhythm gamers through hell, has a BPM only two units faster than Rhythm Rally 2 (212 compared to 210 for reference)

To the people who are still waiting for the Dream BBQ Steam trailer analysis, I'm sorry but my hyperfixations lie elsewhere and I'm not sure if I'll get my ENA fixation back in time to do that analysis before the release of Lonely Door.

Li'l Sekibanki animation practice

Animated in ibisPaint, converted from MP4 to gif via Convertio, hence the wierd effect layered on it. Just a quick little animation practice with my favorite Touhou character, second time ever using ibis' animation tool.
