But, the thing is,
It wants what it wants
But not what it needs
.
A poem written based on a thought i had of “the heart absolutely does not know what it wants.” And then i considered that maybe the heart does want what it wants, but that sometimes it wants stupid things. Its like when you want a cookie, but dont really need one. Your heart may want someone that you dont need in your life.
Its like person that you had a good gut feeling about, that you put all of your faith into and felt safe around. Up until they hurt you. And what sucks is that even though you know they are a terrible person, that they hurt you so badly and caused so much pain, your heart still wants them. Even though you know that you absolutely do not need someone like them in your life.
