My friend recommended me canvas which is a program for designers and its so good. So easy to use and I don’t even downloaded it I use online. I was able to make cuter icon and bg. I even made some instagram posts formats I don’t know why. Anyway, highly recommed for people trying to make a game with no art skills or someone trying to make some nice looking icons and stuff.

Sometimes, writer’s block is just not allowing yourself to write poorly. Give yourself that freedom.

So for over a month and a half I’ve been told in my Creative writing MA class that my writing is too poetic and abstract to work in the form of a novel and that I need to simplify my meanings and sentences. I did as I was told and lost all interest in writing if I have to write in the same style that every other novelist does. Today I received this note from a classmate and didn’t realise how much I needed to hear it. Don’t change your art just because other people don’t get it. Don’t change your style to fit in with everyone else. It’s your story not theirs.

someone: why do you read so much soulmate shit it’s cheesy
me internally: uhh probably because i’m obsessed with the idea of unconditional love and someone who won’t abandon me. the idea that i am destined for love and therefore inherently lovable means more to me than i can express with words, and compounded with the idea of someone who will love me forever, the concept of soulmates truly appeal to the (large) part of me that makes me feel that i’m going to die alone
me aloud: i just think it’s neat
