i’ve just been thinking a lot about my future lately. and who i might want to spend it with.

you know, with everything that’s happened, i’ve been thinking a lot about change. about how much i’ve changed since coming to cordonia. liam is a king now, hana stood up to her dad, drake is an uncle. but you… you haven’t changed very much at all. you’re still the same kind, happy-go-lucky, impulsive guy who walked into my bar what feels like a lifetime ago… you know, i’m not sure i’ve properly thanked you for what you did that night. i wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. i wouldn’t have become an honorary beaumont or been to court… i wouldn’t have traveled around the world. it was never really about [liam]. it was… a guy standing on my doorstep, offering me the adventure of a lifetime. i had fun that night, but until you showed up the next morning, it was just a night. i would have gone on with my life like nothing had ever happened. what i mean to say is… thank you. you’ve been fixing [my problems]. weren’t you the one who spent all day on the phone trying to track down tariq? and who helped me chase down a reporter on the streets of italy? and when i was sitting in the airport after the coronation, waiting for my flight… who came to bring me back to court? it was you, maxwell. i can always count on you for support. you’re the most supportive person in my life… you’ve always believed in me, even when no one else thought i would survive at court. it’s more than that… maxwell, you’re more than a friend to me. well, it makes sense… you’ve always been by my side, you’ve always championed me… and you’re the first thing i think about when i wake up in the morning… and not just because you’re basically my alarm clock. i guess it just happened… somewhere along the road. i didn’t come to cordonia thinking that i would fall for you. but then you were always there when i needed you, and you always know how and when to make me laugh… i’m not even sure when i realized it. i don’t want [liam]. and he doesn’t want a loveless marriage, like the one he’d have with madeleine anyway. maxwell, i can’t help the way i feel about you. and i’m not going to keep hiding it because of bertrand… with liam and madeleine’s wedding coming up, and us about to find tariq… i’ve just been thinking a lot about my future lately. and who i might want to spend it with.

i’m unreasonably flattered that you read my tags lol 😋 and yes i was!! for almost all of secondary school. my school’s squad was pretty small and we only did like… two interschool competitions in my entire time there? but we had practice every tuesday and friday evening and performed during a lot of events/assemblies so i’d say it was a pretty big part of my schooling years!
