Nisaka is my favorite character in the entire Koi to Uso anime/manga. There was this one scene that made me a bit upset in the anime, where he explains to Lilina why she's doing something wrong and counterproductive by trying to play Cupido for Neji and Misaki. At first, I thought he was only doing that because he didn't want Neji to be with the girl he fell for, because of his jealousy. But then I understood, reading the relative manga chapters, that he was only saying to her the same words he probably repeated to himself many times. He forced himself to hide his own feelings because he thinks that revealing them would only cause trouble.

He's clearly suffering a lot. And I think it's great that he realizes he's not the only one suffering or the only one in a complicated situation, though: I think he's starting to understand that Lilina is not only doing this because of Neji, but also because she deeply cares about Misaki, the same way Misaki is not only there to be with Neji but mostly because she didn't want to disappoint Lilina. The connection between the three is something very similar to polyamour, which I hope it's going to be the final destination of the manga.

Anyway, I love Nisaka because he's not trying to be mean at Lilina only because he wants her to suffer as much as he does, but because he wants the best for Neji, he doesn't want things to become dangerous for him and that's also the reason why he doesn't confess his feelings to him.

He would love to be able to have a romantic relationship with him and that's why he perfectly understands the other three's feelings. But “stuff like that only works in fairytales”. Being gay, or at least bisexual, in a society that only contemplates heterosexual relationships clearly has turned him into a pretty cynical person and that's totally understandable.

But that doesn't stop me to feel sorry for him.

ok i get these random ideas and stuff (mainly angst.) and i thought of one for the koi to uso fandom (yes)

this isnt necessarilly in an au?? take it how u want idk. but like what if nisaka didnt show up to school, and neji is like "bro thats weird?? thats suspciius" and so he asks one of nisa's friends and is like "yo where is nisaka" and they're like ".......he moved." and neji is like OH SHIT WHAT and the friends are like "didnt..didnt he tell you????" and neji is like "NO?????????" and neji is like texting nisaka "where r u" "why did u move" "are u ok??" etc etc and nisaka just responds with like "Im at/in _____" "_______(fill out the blanks) "im okay" and nisaka like a few motnhs later meets very cute boy......and nice.....but nisaka doesnt like cute nice boy, not yet i think idk???

AND THEN ANOTHER ONE I GOT IS LIKE our boy nisaka gets his silly little government match and is not very ecstatic

they meet they match up woah theyre dating its pretty swaggy and theyre all doing this in secret!!! the gov knows ofc and dad... but then secret bf goes to nisaka's school for lunch and seats himself next to him at lunch because MMMMMM lunch!!!!!!!! neji is like "______ (fill in the blanks)" and im out of ideas
