heterophobicdyke/727058214627213312/ heterophobic did very much go on a weird rant about how she thinks the majority of the population is bi in response to "why bis are the biggest homophobes". You also even reacted to her saying that bisexuals don't face "core" homophobia yourself so idk why you say that's a lie. Maybe she didn't say all the things that anon said directly but where the hell are the implications of both those statements supposed to go then. If bisexuals categorically dont experience core homophobia of course you're saying all their abuse is non-core homophobia. if you're saying bisexuals are the majority in response to that question how are you not blaming homophobia on bisexuals.
piqued definitely reblogged a post that called bi women dick worshipers, that they were identical to TIMs, and that their "abuse" was a pretext to weaponize against lesbians. Then she threw a tantrum saying bis weren't allowed to get mad at her for endorsing and praising that post because she already said she didn't "fully agree with all of it", that it was "frustrating" for bisexuals to "zero in" on those things, and that the lesbophobia she was addressing was the only thing that mattered because death of the author or some shit. It all boils down to she thinks she's within her rights to throw the abuse of bi women in their faces if SHE decides its worth it, and us #triggered victims need to stfu. I can't even link all this shit because it was like a dozen posts but what is the point of calling this a lie when she admits it she just doesn't thinks what she did is at all bad or insensitive. some of the other things about her, like her reaction the blackpills and saying they need compassion, are also true, but she did apologize and clarify more.
the kronkk one is the only one that I think is kind of twisted. Someone else posted that radfem tumblr biphobia was bad, and kronkk said it wasn't prominent. so they showed her various posts from blackpills, and she said they were not radfems so it doesn't count even if they're in "radblr" and that radfem/radblr are different things. then she got some annoying anons and made that "anyway I love mean lesbians" post as a frustrated response and deleted it within the hour or less. I don't think kronkk meant it as direct support for the blackpills, but considering it was directly responding to that topic I think its very understandable lots of people understood it that way and took that badly, lesbians too, and she herself must have known otherwise she would not have deleted it. I mean take it all with a grain of salt since im on anon but idk how you can definitively say kronkk never did this either.
first of all i think i remember what ur referencing with piqued and i’m pretty sure that’s not what happened lol. she got an anon venting about homophobia that had a line somewhere that expressed prejudice against bisexuals. she didn’t remark on that line and empathised with the anon on her vent about experiencing homophobia. the biphobia truthers collectively called her out for not acknowledging that sentence and she literally ended up apologising within like. one reblog. so again, it was not the way you presented it in ur ask.
second of all ur admitting to intentionally misconstruing and twisting kronkk’s words. so now we have established you have lied about two lesbians, how biphobic of me to say so tho, i guess. instead i should clap and agree that lesbians r awful bc u twisted their words or sth, my bad.
then third, let us compare heterophobicdyke’s words to what u claimed she said:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
not once did she call heterosexuals “a sexual minority” here. she believes that most ppl are bisexual, which frankly isn’t somehow out there as a belief.. many ppl believe this and a lot of bisexuals will argue that everyone is “a little bi”. she didn’t even argue “homophobia is the fault of bisexuals” but is clearly exclusively talking about ppl viewing homosexuality as a preference/choice and theorises that this viewpoint that it is probably comes from THEM personally choosing heterosexuality & assuming others must also be choosing to act exclusively towards one sex or both sexes. and i’ve also experienced many “heterosexuals” confiding in me and expressing some level of attraction, albeit often quite minor, to the same sex too.
you claim she said that bisexuals do not “experience core homophobia”, whatever that means, when in reality she said (at least this is what i recall reblogging & agreeing with) bisexuals do not experience the homophobia gay ppl do. meaning, u do not experience persecution for being exclusively same sex attracted, or for not being attracted to the opposite sex. i don’t think it’s somehow evil to point out we face homophobia differently. nowhere did she argue that bisexuals being raped and abused is “some het bullshit that doesn’t have to do with real homophobia”
it’s one thing to criticise the people actually saying what you claim but you specifically misconstrued several lesbians (& 1 bi woman) and demonised them and twisted their words, put words in their mouths, & then on top of it when i said to u that u are misconstruing them u went and sent my post to other bloggers, i guess to incite harassment against me? it’s disturbing bc u don’t even NEED to be inventing shit. there’s plenty of people actually saying awful things about bisexuals. but u made sure to name and misconstrue some of the most prominent lesbians on here bc they ?? said blackpillers aren’t radfems??? and that they think most ppl are bi (a belief most bis i’ve met will actually reiterate and use to argue homosexuality isn’t real ??) ??

Hi Steph! I hope it's okay if I ask you, but I've got this thing on my mind and I don't know who else I should ask. I've just recently found out about Ben's interview about Chelsea Manning (with the Guradian, I think), and I was utterly shocked how blatantly Ben misgenders her there. I'm a trans person myself, which is probably why I'm even more hurt by it. I always thought Ben rather open minded and intelligent. Do you know if someone ever called him out on that or if he apologised?
Hey Nonny!
First of all, I want to give you a HUGE hug *HUG* I totally understand why you are upset about this, and I do not blame you for being sad that Ben seemingly purposely misgendered Chelsea Manning, and he absolutely should be called on it if it was in fact malicious. Like you, I too also thought Ben usually corrects his errs in language so I thought this was a bit weird.
So! Let’s figure this out. I did a bit of basic Googling and read a few articles and Wikis to brush up on this; I completely somehow missed the whole debacle that The Fifth Estate caused and how poorly Ben was received for his role in it (which I found out because I also didn’t know Manning was also part of that whole thing). Anyway, so I think I found the original article you are referring to:
The peculiar charm of Benedict Cumberbatch by Decca Aitkenhead (The Guardian, 14 Sept. 2013) – Sherlock Holmes made him an unlikely superstar. Now Benedict Cumberbatch is taking on Julian Assange in The Fifth Estate. He talks about email warnings from the WikiLeaks founder, his ‘crush’ on Matt Damon and why Chelsea Manning broke an oath.
Which was then followed up with this “correction” a couple days later since Ben felt that The Guardian misconstrued his words:
Benedict Cumberbatch: Chelsea Manning and civil liberties – interview transcript by Guardian Staff (The Guardian, 16 Sept 2013) – Decca Aitkenhead’s interview with Benedict Cumberbatch – an unedited transcript of the actor’s comments on Chelsea Manning.
In both of these interviews, both Ben and the original journalist, Aitkenhead, refer to Chelsea by her dead name, Bradley; we know they misgendered her because these are transcripts of the audio recording of the interview for the story. Take note of the dates on these articles, because they’ll be important in a moment.
Thinking this odd from Ben at least (I’m not sure politically where The Guardian stands so I’m not going to comment; I’ve read mixed opinions), I decided to figure out a bit more about Chelsea Manning, from Wikipedia, which cites sources that were helpful to my research:
[…] A trans woman, Manning released a statement in 2013 explaining she had a female gender identity since childhood and wanted to be known as Chelsea Manning. She also expressed a desire to begin hormone replacement therapy.[7]
Here is what Source 7 says:
Manning, Chelsea E. (August 22, 2013). “The Next Stage of My Life”. Press release. Archived from the original on August 22, 2013. As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me. I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female. Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. …I also request that…you refer to me by my new name and use the feminine pronoun…. Thank you, Chelsea E. Manning
Now, let’s go back to the original print date of the first article: 14 September, 2013. Chelsea publicly came out as a transwoman on 22 August, 2013, less than a month apart. Now, I tried to do some research online, as well as my own personal experience from having to work in the newspaper industry, as to how long it is for them to write and publish articles. While I couldn’t find any DEFINITIVE answer on how long of a timeframe The Guardian does between interviews and publishing of said interviews, I know with the newspaper I worked for, at least, it was anywhere between days and months from interview to writing to editing to publication. The Fifth Estate came out on October 18, 2013, and Ben was assumedly doing his press junket for the film when this interview came out in September… which is the perfect time for The Guardian to release the article as people began searching for info about the movie. The first trailer starting the press junket was released in July 2013. Some guesstimation, then is that Ben did the interview sometime between 01 July and… let’s say it takes at BARE MINIMUM 5 days to interview, write, and edit the article, so 9 September.
Again, I can’t seem to find when Aitkenhead actually DID the audio interview with Benedict; I am willing to bet on the odds that it was before Manning’s announcement of her gender identity in August, because, like you said, it’s highly unusual for Ben to purposely be malicious about that sort of thing (especially since JUST TWO MONTHS BEFORE he was the officiant at his two gay friends’ wedding).
I did a bit more digging, and found this Buzzfeed (I KNOW) article regarding her sentencing:
Benedict Cumberbatch Calls Chelsea Manning Sentence “Devastating” by Jordan Zakarin (Buzzfeed News, 6 Sep 2013) – The actor, who plays WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in The Fifth Estate, spoke to BuzzFeed about the controversial case.
He was asked about Manning’s sentence while on the carpet at TIFF that year, meaning it was an on-the-spot and not-pre-recorded or pre-planned interview and at that time, he was referring to Manning by her pronouns.
There are some other articles post 16 September that also refer to Manning by her dead name and dead pronoun, also all pre-recorded interviews. So from this, I can glean the more likely scenario, given that Ben, BEFORE that interview in The Guardian was published, was referring to Manning by her pronouns just a couple weeks after the public announcement, I am really honestly suspecting that the 15th’s interview was done in late July or early August, probably just days before Manning’s announcement. As I said before, it’s common practice for newspapers to withhold interviews until “prime publishing” dates, and I suspect this is EXACTLY what happened here.
While I know Ben isn’t perfect, I think this is honestly a case of “an interview was held onto for so long between the interview and publishing and a big revelation happened in between it all”. Should The Guardian have corrected the pronouns? Probably, but it’s not my newspaper.
In this case, Lovely, I think we can say that this was not malicious on Ben’s part. I hope my bit of research (and some deductive reasoning) helped you feel a bit better. It’s still no excuse, absolutely not, that Manning was misgendered in the paper… the media seems to always be the last to correct their own errors, despite being hungry to call out everyone else for theirs for views. Sadly that’s the world of print and digital media, my lovely.
I genuinely don’t think Ben intentionally called her a “he”, given how close this interview was released to her public announcement. I’m not making excuses at all for him, but seeing that in an on-the-spot interview he did a week beforehand he referred to Chelsea properly, I think this was a pre-recorded and pre-written interview that they literally had just scheduled for publication and moved onto the next item on the docket. It’s a common practice in print media.

Hello ! For the post you reblogged (who is...) would you answer it with Promptis ? (Oh and you're one of the promptis cool kids to me !)
Oh my gosh! You’re so sweet!! Thank you!! I try really hard, maybe too hard, but I’m glad you’re here all the same!
Now, for these beebs.
who is more likely to hurt the other?
Noctis, though unintentionally. His filter is a little broken and he tends to say things that he doesn’t necessarily mean harshly towards him, but it comes off as such and then…well he has a lot of awkward apologies under his belt.
who is emotionally stronger?
Prompto is better at hiding it, but both of them have those odd triggers.
who is physically stronger?
Noctis. Prompto is kind of useless in the physical strength department, but for as much as he complains about being tired and hungry, he has a plethora of stamina and can keep up with the best of them.
who is more likely to break a bone?
Probably Prompto just because the boy LITERALLY JUST FALLS OVER SOMETIMES??
who knows best what to say to upset the other?
They’re so close that they know exactly what triggers the other, but Noctis has a zero chill mode that is brutal and though it takes him a good while to get there, he can be fucking NASTY.
who is most likely to apologise first after an argument?
Prompto, even if it isn’t his fault. They don’t argue often, so when they do, it’s a big deal. It usually ends with Prompto apologizing after Noctis storms off and Noctis admitting that he was wrong and apologizing to him instead. Of course there’s a lot of quiet, content noises as they hug and kiss it out, too.
who treats who’s wounds more often?
Noctis gets more injuries just because of how much he pushes himself (also because he has a bum leg that makes physical activity pretty painful sometimes), so Prompto is usually the one that is treating his wounds with potions and wrapping him up. Sometimes there’s a bonus leg massage to work out any tension he’s been accumulating.
who is in constant need of comfort?
PROMPTO. He hides it well, and he hardly ever asks for it, but Noctis just KNOWS. It’s all in the way he backs off in a conversation because he doesn’t necessarily agree or understand the point of view, or the way he pushes himself to the brink of exhaustion trying to prove to himself that he’s good enough. Noctis just quietly wraps his arms around him and doesn’t budge if he starts protesting because ‘no, you need this’. No words have to be said.
who gets more jealous?
They’re both awful and quick to start with the passive aggressive comments when they feel threatened (this is actually canon if you listen to the clapbacks they’ve got for one another). Noctis is quicker to react though. No one is allowed to flirt with his sunshine child and get away with it.
who’s most likely to walk out on the other?
Honestly, neither. The only way I could see it happening is if Noctis left Prompto for his own good because of x reason, but neither of them would be okay without the other.
who will propose?
NOCTIS. I full intend to write this eventually (when work isn’t bogging me down) but there will be happy tears and lots of nerves and actual proper gentleman Noctis.
who has the most difficult parents?
Noctis again. It isn’t easy when your father is the King. Not that he doesn’t get along with his father, but he also kind of hates that he was born into so much responsibility when he just wants to be a lazy kid and play video games in his underwear with his boyfriend.
who initiates hand-holding when they’re out in public?
They’re pretty careful about public appearances. Noctis is lucky that he’s able to move around pretty freely without too much spotlight on him, but it’s still better to keep aware of who is watching. They’re not so much hiding their relationship..but they aren’t advertising it either. Prompto is a little wary of openly showing affection that can be misconstrued and getting Noctis in trouble, so Noctis is usually the one to initiate anything publicly. As for hand holding, they don’t often hold hands, rather, they’ll hook pinkies because it’s a little more discreet and intimate.
who comes up for the other all the time?
Not sure what this means, honestly. Like, fetching the other? Because that’s usually Prompto. Noctis is lazy af and can’t be bothered with most things.
who hogs the blankets?
Noctis. He is a literal blanket burrito and loves to be comfy.
who gets more sad?
They’re both pretty sad tbh, but Noctis has a bit more on his plate to be sad about.
who is better at cheering the other up?
PROMPTO. Noctis is pretty shitty at talking, so he usually resorts to kisses and firm hugs and giving him sad, understanding looks, but Prompto just…smiles…and Noctis’s whole world gets several shades brighter.
who’s the one that playfully slaps the other all the time after they make silly jokes?
Prompto because Noctis is a shit and makes bad jokes all the time and he can’t honestly believe that he’s dating this awful joke making prince.
who is more streetwise?
Prompto. Noctis is a quick study, but Prompto has a way of navigating and knowing the ways of the world. (At least of the two of them because really it’s probably Gladio that’s the streetwise of them all).
who is more wise?
I might get some shit for this one, but Noctis. That’s not to say that Prompto isn’t wise or intelligent - on the contrary, some of my favorite scenes from the game are the ones where he stands up for his friends and actually drops some insight. Noctis, however, can take situations from multiple perspectives and act accordingly. He isn’t an idiot, despite popular belief, just lazy. When Noctis applies himself he is extremely smart and has a rather unique outlook on life, and canonly that’s in part of being with Prompto.
who’s the shyest?
They’re both rather shy and can be timid, but I think Prompto is more so.
who boasts about the other more?
Definitely Prompto about Noctis, but Noctis’s way of boasting about Prompto is how he would literally parade him around if he could. Is there a better form of boasting than ‘I chose this sunshine child over anyone else and that should make you jealous because he’s fucking perfect’?
who sits on who’s lap?
Prompto sits on Noctis’s lap all the time, but Noctis has a tendency of just LAYING ON HIM.
