You were coddling your boyfriendー Setsunoー on this very special day.

Given the clear circumstances of his life: He’s usually not home early to come spend time with you as much as he would love to during the days, being tucked within your embrace means the world to him more than anything. Now that he has you to come home to, the boy is thankful for having you into his miserable life.

Fortunately, Setsuno surprises you on your doorstep with large gifts into his hands. He’s part of the Yakuza, so having that much money to spend was all for you for today. You deserved to be rewarded for being with him for awhile now.

“Happy Holiday, Y/N.” Your boyfriend exchanged his goofy grinning face that lighted up after seeing your dumbfounded expression. I mean, he doesn’t come home until later but this was one of the best gifts you’ve ever received. The two of you could finally catch up on your absences, cuddling into each other arms for comforting.

Few of the presents dropped onto the ground when you immediately wrapped your arms around his neck, nuzzling into the locks of his blonde hair as you do so.

“Hey hey hey, be careful. Those are expensive.” Setsuno sighed exaggeratedly. Though, seeing you overly excited for his arrival tugs his heart warmly. He couldn’t resist slithering his free arms around your waist to him closely.

“I miss you, Y/N.” He whispers into your ear sweetly and you nodded in return, feeling the same for him. “ I miss you too, Touya. Let’s head inside.”

“And this is for you, hunny!” You pushed another present into his hands again after unwrapping another one that’s been given to him many times. Setsuno wondered how you afforded this much money, or presents for him while he was away.

Maybe your work, but with all of the attention you’re giving him, the sheer of absolute affections is the best thing he could ever get. Being with you is the best gift he could ask for. Setsuno let out another faintly sigh before smiling his toothy smile, “Thank you again, Y/N. These are wonderful, you better like your gift too. I spent my butt working on it.”

Several giggles elicited from your lips. Of course you appreciate his hard work, why wouldn’t you? Honestly, of all of the gifts that you received wasn’t the ones you wanted the most. You were longing for your boyfriend. Now, that wish came true and he is here before your very eyes. It truly was a miraculous Christmas. “I love you, Touya. I really do, I’m glad you’re here with me again.”

There’s so much compassionate within those words, being with you for a couple of years made everything so much better for him. Yet there’s still some doubt after his previous relationship. He’s afraid to imagine that you’ll leave him eventually too, he wouldn’t bear losing you too. Setsuno lowered his head to conceal his faintly smile, his fingers gliding to the presents besides him. “You won’t leave me… right, Y/N…?”

Of course you wouldn’t. You’d hate for him to fall into desolation, or even drown into that crisis he attempted once more. All he needed was your love, and that’s what you intended to do for him. Be his loving support.

Scooting over to him, you extended your hands to cup his cheeks and averted his attention towards your eyes that held empathy for the man you love so much. You really do want to be there for him through it all.

And surely the meaning behind your gleaming eyes says something so much, no, you won’t leave him. Pressing your lips against softly, those reassuring words will perpetually remain in his resilient heart as long as he lives.

You departed away from him slowly. Watching those eyes concentrating on you for reassurance. His hands clutching to your fingers tightly.

“ I promise I won’t ever leave your side, Touya. I promise.“
