Here is a link to the Cherokee Nation's official site. Here is the Visit Cherokee Nation youtube channel. Here is a playlist for learning Cherokee (and here's one for learning Ojibwe, as a bonus cause i'm biased). Here is a link to Daybreak Star Radio, which is a radio station based in Seattle dedicated to showcasing international first nations and indigenous music that you can listen to online. Here is a pdf of various recipes, including references to which tribes they originate from. Here is a link to The-aila-test's buy native tag, and here is a link to Beyond Buckskin's buy native list (though some of the links are broken). Here is a link to the Cherokee Phoenix newspaper's official site.
now go take a minute and come back once you've done some research so everybody can stop being weird about Piper.

Told you I'd come back to my OG series eventually...
A/N: this one goes after Always, Honey and before I Missed You. I still don't have it in me to write the really sad stuff about him leaving and coming back from the army. I'll get there. For now enjoy this fluffy, smutty little romance.
Warnings: 18+ minors DNI, kissing, cussing, fingering, p in v sex, unprotected sex, outdoor sex, risky sex lol
As an aside, I did research for this one (you should see my search history) and this is how the internet suggested to do this... so if I had them do it wrong, blame the internet lol I have no personal experience with this one.
Because...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Somebody get y/n!!! Elvis Presley is on the phone for her!"
You hear Debbie's voice call down the hallway. There's a phone downstairs and someone has sent up word that there's a call for you. Obviously, all of the girls are in a tizzy once they find out who is calling you.
"Elvis Presley? Really?"
"How do you know him?!"
"Is it really him?!"
You try to make your way through the throng of girls that has gathered in the hallway. You've been seeing Elvis for a few months now, but no one really knows about it, except Margie, your roommate. Finally, you make it to the stairs and run down to the lobby and the front desk.
"Someone said there was a call for me?" You ask breathlessly.
"You y/n?"
"Yes."
"Here you go." They hand you the receiver.
"Hello? Elvis?"
"Hey, honey!" His warm southern drawl touches you, even through the phone.
"Hey! What's going on?"
"Meet me at the corner of 4th and Walnut in thirty minutes. I'll pick you up." You agree because even if you had things going on, seeing him is worth cancelling plans, but you don't have anything to do anyway. It's also way too late at night, but you're not worried about being out past curfew if he's involved.
A half hour later, you're standing at the correct corner, waiting for him in a baby blue and white pinstriped dress and cardigan. You're starting to get nervous that he isn't coming when you hear something loud making its way down the street. That's when you see him, perched on top of a brand new, shiny black motorcycle. He pulls up next to you and cuts the engine off.
"You wanna go for a ride, baby?" You've never ridden a motorcycle before, but he looks so delicious in his black pants, white shirt open to the middle of his chest and black hat. There's no way you can say no to him.
"Yes, please." You nod feverishly. Seeing him like this makes you want to ride more than a motorcycle, but you'll settle for the bike. For now.
"Come on, honey." You climb onto the back of the motorcycle and wrap your arms around his waist, tucking your skirt up under yourself tightly.
You ride for a while around town before he heads down a road that you know will take you away from civilization. He starts to move a little faster and you slide closer to him, pressing your body up against his back. You don't think anything of it until he hits a bump. You gasp and try to adjust your grip. In doing so, your hand slides a little further down than you intended and you accidentally grab between his legs. When you do, you're shocked to discover he's sporting a pretty prominent erection.
You feel him tense up and your mouth drops open a little. You move your hand away from him quickly, but it's too late. All he can do is laugh. You squeeze him tighter, purposefully pressing your breasts up against him this time. He gets the hint and takes a side road off of the highway. Eventually, the road leads to an empty clearing that looks out over the city. He pulls up and stops the motorcycle, putting out the center stand.
"So, do you like the bike, baby?" He looks over his shoulder, trying to gauge your reaction. Between the vibration of the motor and what you felt between his legs, your panties are soaked. You answer him breathlessly as he leans back against you.
"Yes..." then you bite his earlobe and move your hands back down to his hardness. You start to move your hand on him, rubbing him through his pants. He lays his head back and moans softly.
"C'mere." He reaches back and pulls you around to straddle him on the bike. Running his hands up under your skirt, he leans in and kisses you, his tongue sliding into your mouth playfully.
He starts to pull your panties down and realizes that he won't be able to get them off in your current position. To solve the problem, he rips them at the seam on each side and yanks them out from under you, tossing them to the side. He brings his hands back to your center and slides two fingers into your wetness.
"Oh, honey, you do like the bike." You moan into his mouth as he moves his fingers in and out of you. You reach down and unbutton his pants, freeing the erection he's had since you first grabbed him. Using your hand, you pump him up and down, sliding his foreskin back and forth. Now, it's his turn to moan and you continue to touch each other like this for a while. Eventually, you slide toward him and let him push into you and fill you up while you straddle him.
"Ohhh fuck, Elvis." You cry out as you grind your hips against his, pushing him deeper and deeper with every thrust. He smiles at the way you always cuss when he's inside you. Your arms are around his neck and you kiss him fully on the mouth. After a good bit of time in this position, he gently pushes your hips back off of him.
"I wanna try somethin'." He whispers in your ear. "Turn around." You obey instructions and stand up, turn around and get back on the bike, with your hands on the handlebars. He hikes your skirt up over you until your whole bottom half is exposed. He sits you back down on top of him, pushing into you deeply. Then, he kicks the motorcycle on. The vibration of the motor is right on your clit and you cry out in pleasure. He stands up a little bit, holding onto your hips and fucking you steadily from behind.
"Oh fucking shit!" You scream as you come hard on top of him. He keeps thrusting, pushing into you from behind over and over. You can tell his climax is coming from the way he pounds into you repeatedly.
"Yeah, baby. Just like that." He says it barely louder than a whisper. You whimper as he keeps fucking you, the bike still running and vibrating against you.
Finally, he slams into you and cries out.
"Yes! Fuck! Y/n yes!" You feel his warmth fill you up and you come again with him, tumbling into your orgasm wildly. After a few seconds, he turns the bike off and leans you back against him, kissing your neck.
"That is, without question, the hottest thing I've ever done." He whispers in your ear.
"Me too." You answer softly. He squeezes your hips one last time before you stand up off of him and the motorcycle, throwing your leg back over to stand up next to him. Your legs are shaking though and he has to steady you with his hands on your hips.
"My panties are ruined. And I'm not sure I can ride back right now." You laugh as your legs continue to shake.
"Here, come with me." He gets off of the bike and leads you to a soft patch of grass. He lays down and gestures for you to lay down with him.
"Let's just be here together for a while and look at the stars." As you lay on the cool grass together, he takes your hand and holds it on his chest.
"Y/n, I've never felt this way about anyone before."
"I think that's because I just fucked you on your motorcycle." You laugh and look over at him. He looks back at you, but his face is serious.
"No, really. I feel things for you that I never thought I would feel." You can't take your eyes away from his, wondering what he might say next.
"I think I'm falling in love with you."
Your heart skips several beats. You've known you loved him for a while now, since the show where he ended up in the back of a cop car, but you never dreamed he would say it or even feel it too.
"No. I know I'm in love with you." You still can't answer him as he looks at you with those piercing blue eyes.
"And not because we just made love on my motorcycle. Because I can't stop thinking about the way your hair falls in your eyes or how you laugh at everything that I say, even when no one else knows I'm being funny. Because you're the first thing on my mind when I wake up and the last thing before I go to sleep. Because it feels like I might suffocate when I can't be with you. Because you're smart and sweet and you have a fire in you that no one could ever put out. Because my heart only feels whole when I'm with you. I love you, y/n. I'm in love with you." He finishes his sentence and watches you nervously as you take in everything that he's saying. He kisses your fingers and you can feel his hand trembling.
"I love you too, Elvis." You want to say more but he rolls over and kisses you before you can. You lay there for a while, wrapped in each other's arms, before you realize that the sun will be coming up soon.
"We need to head back." You say reluctantly. He kisses you two or three more times before he groans and rolls over to stand up. You take the hand he offers you and walk back to the motorcycle. He climbs on and then helps you get situated behind him. The bike rumbles as he turns it on and begins the journey back to campus, so you can try to sneak into your dorm.
When you get there, the sun is just starting to peek over the horizon. He parks the bike and gets off, throwing his arm around you.
"Can I stay with you?"
"Margie is there."
"I don't care. I just want to keep holding you." You take his hand and lead him up to your dorm room. By the time you lay down in bed, the sun is making its presence known. He doesn't seem to be worried about it though as he wraps himself around you in your bed and falls into a deep sleep.
When Margie sees the two of you snuggled together asleep, she shrugs her shoulders and grabs her toothbrush. There's something kind of undeniable about the two of you and she's not one to mess with anyone's happiness. You must've had a long night. She lets you sleep together and sneaks out of the room.
When the door closes, Elvis wakes up a little bit, throws his arm over you protectively, and goes back to sleep. Not a thing in the world could move him from his happy place beside you in your bed...

update on the whole boycott usa thing
so i've been reflecting on what things i actually use and might be giving money to that are from the usa. and while 'i only buy books and music and locally grown food' is kinda true (rip to my beloved Beyond burgers, I'm still not sure what to do with you) i've realised something a lot more meaningful than policing what i eat (dangerous) or being too critical about the artists i support just because of where they were born (slippery slope into something i don't believe in), is to have a look at the tech I use on a regular basis and where my use of technology is putting power. and i've come to realise a kind of monopoly i never really saw before?
adobe, microsoft and google (as well as meta, i'm still not sure what to do with him) are probably the biggest ones i use for work and study and communication. and i can't actually afford adobe suite and if i quit my job i won't have microsoft office either, so it's a good time for me to find alternatives i'm actually happy with. i also need a new browser. poor firefox, they do so well, and they're not quite Big Tech (so idk, the jury's not fully out on them) but i'd like to see if there is just one that isn't usamerica silica valley yk?
good news! vivaldi browser is norwegian and idk. i'm happy with that. all i'm trying to boycott is Big Tech, that brings power that rattles around eventually into a war system, potentially, i don't know the ins and outs but i can give it my best guess, and we've never even heard of them, never heard of Norway having a big stake in tech, I'd love to be part of changing that!! it's still the global north but. small steps. i also am pretty happy with how the norway govt has responded.
also, the other big one i use is musescore to do music stuff. they also own audacity!! did you know that?? they're based in cyprus. the things that you learn.
libreoffice, which i've heard good things about, as well as ecosia, which i've used as my search engine for almost a decade, and viva designer, the only half decent and affordable alternative to adobe i could find, are all based in germany. and as much as i love their recycling policies it also has me wondering. is this just as bad? i'm not sure what else i can do without completely going off the grid and hand drawing everything or starting a plumbing apprenticeship (which would require me dropping out of uni and buying a car, not impossible, but i like urban design and can't afford an electric car yet let alone one that is Tradie Appropriate and Not Being Boycotted)
anyway, i hope you can make use of my research. and please weigh in!! is supporting tech from germany the exact same thing?? again i'm not trying to be racist and i know it's a line i have to be careful to walk. but i am trying to strategically boycott and hopefully in a sustainable way that others, if they choose, can get on board with too. and it feels like it's silica valley or germany. coles or woolworths. where is my aldi? is there an aldi?

my gift for @miri-in-a-bottle for @rottmnt-secret-gifting
When Donnie was little, he was a little odd to his brothers.
He took a while to start talking, and because of his soft shell, Splinter wouldn’t let him play rough. When he was a little older, he remained out of their play on his own, even with the pillow tied to him, and would often take it off because he didn’t want to wear it.
He claimed his shell wasn’t a weakness, just a temporary setback.
Raph didn’t know what that meant at the time, but he understood later when Donnie made his first battle shell. The beta test allowed him to roughhouse with his brothers and ended in the shell breaking, scratching up his shell some, and Raph promising himself never to play rough with his little brother again.
The second version was sturdier, but his brothers refused to help him test it.
The third was on for an hour before Donnie took it off and locked himself in his room for the rest of the night.
Suddenly, he added padding on the shells, searching fervently with Mikey, who said his tastes were so refined that Donnie rejected almost every textile they found. It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack for Donnie, ending up on taking a mostly clean satin pillowcase and wrapping it around memory foam.
Leo was the first to find him during a meltdown, and from then on, was the first to do research and offer as educated of help as he could manage. He explained everything to Raph and Mikey, so they could know and help if he was unable.
They didn’t have to, not when Leo was always there first. Donnie would oh-so-easily go to Leo for help because he knew he didn’t have to ask for it, his twin would just know.
On their way back from Staten Island, Leo passed out, and Donnie panicked. Leo was always the one to know the medical stuff, Donnie only knew the basics.
“I’m an engineer, not a doctor.”
They called Draxum, and he helped, and once Leo was all patched up, Raph realized that Donnie had disappeared.
He found him in his room, curled up in the corner crying, with all the light off.
Don’t try to touch him, and keep your voice low. Leo had instructed.
Raph crouched nearby. “Hey buddy.”
Donnie peeked at him from where he was curled up.
Check for any injuries, sometimes pain will send him over the edge, sometimes it’s just overwhelming situations.
Raph took a breath. The situation had been overwhelming for all of them, so he couldn’t imagine how Donnie was feeling, and there were likely injuries on top of that. “Are you hurt anywhere?”
He probably won’t outright say yes, but he will say no if he’s not hurt.
Donnie shrugged, and Raph swallowed. “We need to make sure you get cleaned up, bud. We can make it quick, and then you can rest, I promise.”
Donnie sniffled, nodding.
He likely won’t talk, he might sign if he needs to say something.
“Do you need help walking?” Raph asked.
Donnie didn’t respond, moving to stand up on his own, but Raph could see him shaking. He offered his hand, allowing Donnie to make his own choice in taking it, which he did, putting his weight against his arms, both pushing against his biggest brother’s hand.
Raph slowly led him to the bathroom, helping him take off his battle shell and getting him into the bathtub. He tried not to touch Donnie as much as possible, and made sure the water was a perfectly moderate temperature, so it wouldn’t feel like much. He tried not to panic at the mess of his brother's shell, looking like roots had been torn out of soft dirt and small bits of white could be seen through the slowly oozing blood.
“We gotta go get this stitched up, Dee.” Raph told him and Donnie nodded slowly, letting his eldest brother help him out of the bath and into the medbay where Splinter and Casey Jr took care of him.
Once they were done and he was all curled up with a blanket, he stared half-lidded across the room at Leo, and Raph swallowed.
He left the room, getting Donnies headphones and bringing them back to the softshell, who relaxed when they were given. He signed Thank you.
You’re welcome. Raph signed back, then patted beside his hand reassuringly.
Donnie reached out and squeezed his hand, humming.
Raph squeezed it back, giving him a smile.
(hope you enjoy!!!)

Hello! I hope this is a quick question but I don’t know that many other historians so I’m wondering if you have any tips or resources on how to start an archival project ?
Thank you!
Come prepared. Check opening hours, access restrictions, whether you need to schedule in advance or if they take walk-ins, if you need university ID or it's open to the public, etc. Some archives don't allow ink pens/require you to only use pencils/do or don't allow laptops. So google them beforehand and see if they have a website with these rules (most of them will). If not, you can always email the friendly curator/archive director and ask any questions that aren't answered.
In that vein, it is pretty much impossible to plan out on the day itself what you need to look at. Most archives have or are working on digitising their collections or making some kind of search engine. The more specific you can be in your requests, the more use you will get out of your time there, especially if it's a place you've had to travel to specially and not necessarily somewhere that you can just pop back again next week. Even if it is, archives work is time-consuming and labor-intensive, so make a plan to get the most out of each visit.
Likewise, and probably the most important: have a system for clearly recording what you're looking at that will make sense to you later! If you take great notes but can't read any of it when you need to type them up, that's not going to help you very much. Be aware of what information you want to extract and how you want to use it later: are you just checking the original text against a printed primary source? Are you looking for information not included in said source? Are you making lists of items and/or people, are you looking at the text's physical characteristics, are you comparing versions? Etc etc. Just as with knowing beforehand which documents you need, knowing what you want to DO with them, and what value they will be to your research later, will help a great deal with effectively using your time and effort.
If the documents aren't in English and/or your usual language, are handwritten, etc: how are you going to transcribe them accurately? You can usually take pictures with your phone or something, if you need the mise-en-page later, but if so, you need to take good pictures that are well-lit and legible. In my experience, very little time in archives is spent actually analysing or reading the material in depth, unless that's what you actually need to do. Instead, you're collecting the raw data and ensuring that you have a system in place to effectively process it later.
As someone who has laboriously trawled through the ginormous ancient 19th-century leather RHGF volumes that shed all over my desk, and then later discovered that parts of them were in fact online: it is worth checking if the resources you need have virtual access. This goes into the point above about how archives are increasingly digitized. If something is available online, i.e. there is plenty of stuff at the British Library that you can look at without having to be on-site, make use of that first and see if it gives you what you need. This will more often be the case with large or well-known archives, and your local library or tiny museum may or may not have that option, but it is always worth checking. It will save you time and money in having to actually travel to the research site, and some digital humanities person will feel very gratified in the background, since putting all that stuff online is HARD and they do want scholars to take advantage of it.
Anyway, that should all hopefully get you started. Best of luck with your research!

i actually don’t think ppl understand how little the younger generation has been taught about navigating online spaces. this isnt just “they are so entitled and stupid lol” bc i feel like thats just an excuse to feel intellectually superior and like they were personally lazy and thats why they never learned.
when i was growing up we were taught how to type at a keyboard. proper placement of fingers. internet safety (dont give up out your full name, address, parents names, where you go to school, etc). how to look something up and do research, filters on various archives and engines, and how to troubleshoot things
to us these are basic skills for using the internet. requirements really before we were let loose on it. did we always follow them? no. but then when we didnt other people will quick to point and say it was our fault (even when it could be really inappropriate to do so and is was just victim blaming)
but that was because the internet had not invaded all of our lives yet. using the internet required you to know how to type, read, and navigate it. not everyone could afford to buy a computer, and dial up was slow as shit and inconvenient. then people started putting their babies in front of tablets like they did TV and let them loose on youtube, then youtube kids. smaller social media sites aimed towards kids vanished bc they werent as profitable. facebook killed privacy and now the goal was to extract as much ad revenue as possible. this is the internet they grew up with: short form content filled with ads, plastering your name around, and only being able to hop from content to content without much control
and because these kids have grown up with a tablet in their hands since they could grip things and react to lights on a screen everyone just assumed they knew how the internet worked. that they all just figured out these skills we used to teach people. that they learned to type the most efficient way, that they wont give out personal information, and that they know how to look something up and evaluate academic sources. i mean look, they can navigate youtube by just typing in a bunch of random words and typing to find a video that doesn’t look like shit, obviously they know how to format a question and use filters!
except they don’t. not to mention the rise of unrelated hashtags to reach as wide an audience as possible means once some of these kids get to ao3 their brains are programmed to skim over them and just click on whatever title sounds interesting. they don’t know how to search for stuff without just typing related terms and tropes into the search bar and don’t know how the filtering works, even though AO3 doesn’t have any more complicated of a filtering system than most other archives.
you can blame their parents and say they’re lazy pieces of shit who should have taught internet safety and never gave their kid and ipad, but it goes deeper than that. the death of TV wasn’t caused by them. underfunded education systems that didn’t teach them this weren’t caused by parents. this is a society wide issue and should be more concerning than “teenagers are annoying online” because corporations have just trained an entire generation of kids to not be able to fact check or stay safe online and rely on them to curate content for them because they never learned how to do it themselves. and this is only gonna get worse if we don’t address it and talk about it and the root issues without going “its those damn kids that don’t know how to take care of themselves, back in MY day--”

Final concept
Sam is an animal researcher. He also has a hobby of going to new habitats, discovering new species, and doing research about all the animals in the world so this time he decided to move to Antarctica to do some research about penguin species. Sam rents a one-person seaplane to travel to his destination he landed in the Antarctic on July 10th but the land was not as pleasant as he imagined. Due to a heavy storm, the engine got jammed at the last second of the landing.
After the landing, he couldn't even get out of the plane because of the heavy snowstorm. He had to stay 2 days inside the plane. because of a lack of signals, he can't connect anyone with his communication device since he was so uncomfortable living inside the plane for 2dats straight he decides to get out anyway. So, he gathered some food and some essential stuff, got out of the plane, and started to walk forward thinking that he would go wherever the road took him. While Same is walking through the storm he feels something just collide with his leg he stops and looks down there is an ashy lump covered in ice he jumps back because saw a move on the lump-looking thing then he pushes it with a stick while keeping his distance with it then he saw it is a baby penguin and its left-wing is wounded. The penguin was wounded. Sam hadn't eaten a proper meal since he started his journey and he was starving. he started getting weird feelings about killing the penguin and eating it. Sam stared at the penguin for a while, picked it up, and walked to a cave. He placed the baby penguin on the floor, got a knife from his bag, and looked at the penguin. He grabbed a piece of cloth, used the knife to cut it in half, and wrapped it around the penguin's wing.
After that, Sam sits aside from the penguin while the penguin is still unconscious and blows his hands to make the hands warm. Sam put back his gloves on and stared at the snowstorm outside the cave because of lack of food and rest, he fell asleep. Sam was woken up by the sound of the baby penguin. It is screaming to find its mother. Sam opened his last can of tuna because he realized that the baby penguin hadn't eaten in days. He slides the can to the penguin but the penguin is scared to eat at first. After Sam shows him eating one fish from the can penguin starts to eat.
Since the snowstorm was reduced Sam got up to find a place where he could contact anyone that he could help. Sam started walking and he heard a footstep behind him. He stopped and the penguin came and hit his leg. Sam looked back and asked the penguin, "Why are you following me, just go somewhere else, I don't have any more food". Sam started walking again and he still heard penguins' footsteps. Sam sat on the ground thinking about what he should do. Sam said to the penguin. "Ok, never mind let's go first let's find a place where I can find a place to contact for help, and then I'll help you to find your family. Deal " Sam touched one of the penguin's wings and shook it while saying deal.
Then both of them start a long walk-through of allies, and rivers and after 3 days they come to an abandoned research center. Sam goes inside the house and searches for something that he can contact someone with. He finds a radio and uses it to call for help and the people who got contacted agree to help. While in there Sam found food and started showing up food because he didn't have any proper food in a week. Then he grabbed a fish can for the penguin and a soda can for him and sat down in front of the building. Sam opens the fish can for the penguin and places it near the penguin. When Sam was about to drink his soda, he saw that penguin stress at a cliff on the other side of the lake. Sam stood up and looked closely at the cliff and he saw some penguins on the cliff then he realized that they had come close to the penguin family and that's why the baby penguin staring at the cliff. After searching around Sam found a boat at the lake shore. So, both of them got into the boat and crossed the lake. When they got off the shore there were hundreds of penguins. Sam watches the baby penguin slowly walking to his family at this moment the rescue plane arrives and Sam turns back to go to his family with the memories he had built up with the baby penguin over the last few days

[Guide] How to find digital marketing clients in Hisar in 3 Steps.
Tumblr media
Hey there! So you're keen to snag some digital marketing clients in Hisar, and that's awesome. But where do you even start? Don't worry, I've got you covered. Here's the lowdown on how to build your client base, explained in simple language:
Step 1: Show Off Your Skills Online:
- Think of your website as your online store: Make it look cool and professional, showing off what you do best. Talk about your experience, past projects, and any happy clients you've helped. Don't forget to use keywords like "digital marketing Hisar" so people can find you easily. - Social media is your playground: Share interesting stuff about digital marketing, answer questions, and join groups related to your field. This is how you connect with potential clients and show them you know your stuff. - Google My Business is your free ad: Claim your listing and fill it out properly. This makes you appear on Google Maps when people search for "digital marketing Hisar." Don't forget to ask clients for reviews – they work wonders!
Step 2: Target Local Businesses:
- Think detective: Search for businesses that could benefit from your skills, like restaurants, shops, or even local artists. Understand what their online presence is like and how you can help them improve. - Offer a free taste: Give them a free consultation or a quick website audit. Show them what you can do without asking for money upfront. This builds trust and proves you're the real deal. - Get out and network: Attend events, join business groups, or even strike up conversations at local cafes. Talk about what you do and how you can help businesses grow online. Remember, people do business with people they know, like, and trust. - Team up with others: Partner with web developers, design firms, or other digital agencies. This way, you can offer clients a complete package of services, making your offerings even more attractive.
Bonus Tips:
- Pick your niche: Don't try to be everything to everyone. Focus on a specific area like social media marketing, SEO, or website design to attract specific clients. - Ads can help: Use Facebook or Google Ads to reach people searching for digital marketing services in Hisar. It's like putting up a digital billboard! - Price matters: Research what other digital marketers in Hisar charge and offer competitive pricing. Remember, value for money is key. - Results speak louder than words: Track the improvements you bring to your client's online presence and share their success stories. Creating Animated Wallpapers with 3D parallax (Gyroscopic parallax) Like Apofiss. (Adroid)
See this here??? Example Here. Do you wanna make something like this? Skip the colored text if you want to get to the meat of the information. Do you ever just see something really cool on the internet, and go "Hey! I mostly have the skills to do this! All I'm missing is a quick guide on how to achieve certain affects!" And then proceed to spend the next two days scrounging the internet for answers but find absolutely nothing? Yeah... That was me. I only just now figured out how to do it, and that was after giving up on this potential project twice. In my particular case, I saw a neat little wall paper running around by the artist Apofiss. I love this creator's work, and I think they do amazing stuff, but me being me and an artist, I like to put my own personal touches on things, and so instead of just buying a wallpaper, I have to put myself through the pain and misery of incorporating my own art into an animated gyroscopic live wallpaper. Considering if you're here reading this post, you might be like me, and hella annoyed that you've spent hours to even days researching this and haven't found a tutorial that actually helps but instead is a shitty app that barely scratches the surface and doesn't allow you to incorporate animated details into your images that you intend to use a parallax on, and it's likely also because much like myself, you may have been using improper terminology and not scraping far enough down into search engine as a result. What Apofiss created, and what you're trying to pull off is an animated wall paper with a Gyroscopic Parallax. It's not something that requires complex coding, but instead requires a third party app called KLWP (Not sure what the letters stand for, but I find it easy to remember the order they're in because they look like a condensed down spelling of Kool Whip.) Download App Here. This is the only app that I've found that will allow you to include gifs and videos into as layers to your gyroscopic parallax. Here's the video Tutorial I found that teaches you how to set up that animation. Video Here.
Also keep in mind that if you've reached timestamp 1:35 of the video, the video tutorial is 7 years old, so it likely has not been updated to allow animations at the time that person filmed the video, but I can assure you that it is an option. This is my own screen as of 11/5/2023 showing that you can add animated images, you just simply need look for it in the prompt when you go to add items.
Tumblr media
This^^^ is the same settings as this vvv
Tumblr media
Make sure that as you follow the tutorial, you use a gif instead of a regular images for one of the items that way you can see how the thing operates, and when you preview it, have fun tilting around your phone to watch that small little glimmer of hope flare up in your fragile, already broken little heart. Trust me. It's fullfilling. I can answer questions, but I'm still fairly new at this myself. I just wanted to put these resources out here, because it is hard to find a decent tutorial. Your best bet is just going to be to play around with the app yourself and see what you can do. I recommend that you do one of two things to help others who may be struggling with this as I have. 1. Spread it around to people who have asked these same questions and never got answers. 2. If this post sucks and you can make a better, more cohesive tutorial, make one and spread that around. This is Tex, yall have a wonderful rest of your day, and happy live wall paper making.

10 tips to improve your SEO
There are many different methods and strategies that can be used in order to improve a website's SEO, but it is important to note that not all of them are effective, or even safe. The most important thing when it comes to SEO is understanding how it works and what needs to be done in order to avoid any penalties from search engines.
1. Research Keywords
To start, you need to research which keywords to target. This can be done by using Google’s Keyword Planner, which is a free tool that allows you to research keywords and get data on monthly search volume and average cost-per-click (CPC).
Once you have a list of potential keywords, you need to decide which ones to actually target. The best way to do this is by looking at both the monthly search volume and CPC. If a keyword has a decent search volume (around or more than 100) and a relatively low CPC, it's worth going after.
If the CPC is too high, you won't be able to make a profit unless your conversion rate is very high. You also need to pick keywords that are relevant to your business.
Use long tail keyword phrases. Long tail keywords are the most specific and best to target because they have less competition and higher conversion rates. So you should use long tail keyword phrases that include your primary keyword, plus a modifier (for example: "dog food" vs "dog food brand").
2. Use keywords throughout your site
Use keywords in your content - by including them in your website copy, you'll be more likely to rank for those terms. Just make sure not to stuff your content with too many keywords, as this can actually hurt your SEO.
Put keywords in your title tags. Your web page's title tag is the most important on-page SEO element because search engines use it as the main description of your page.
Include keywords in your meta descriptions. The meta description is the snippet of text that shows up in search results next to your link. The meta description should be about 70 characters (or less) and should include a call to action so that people click through to your site.
The most important part is to use keywords to create compelling content to attract visitors. It can be a product description, a tutorial on how to use your product, or creating content on your niche. You also can use all these keywords to write a blog frequently, it will increase the conversion rate.
3. Optimize your website for mobile.
As more and more people are using their phones and other mobile devices to search the web, it’s important that your website is optimized for these users.
Mobile-friendly websites load quickly and are easy to use on a smaller screen. Here are a few tips to make sure your site is ready for mobile searchers:
- Make sure your site is responsive, meaning it will adjust to fit any screen size. - Use large, easy-to-read font sizes. - Keep your content concise and to the point. Mobile users are often looking for quick answers and don’t want to wade through long paragraphs of text. - Use images and videos wisely, as they can help break up text and make your content more visually appealing. Just be sure to optimize them for fast loading times. - Make sure your site has a mobile-friendly navigation bar with links to all of the major pages on your site. If you have a large menu, consider using drop-down menus instead. This will allow users to quickly access the info they need without having to scroll through lengthy navigation options.
If you are not good at coding, don't worry, use WordPress. Just download and install on your web server, select responsive theme, and now your website was mobile friendly.
4. Improve site speed
One of the most important aspects of SEO is site speed. A fast website will keep users engaged and reduce bounce rates. There are a few simple ways to improve site speed:
1. Use a content delivery network (CDN). A CDN stores copies of your website’s files in multiple locations around the world. When a user visits your site, the CDN will serve the files from the location that is closest to them, which reduces latency and improves loading times.
2. Optimize images. Images can often be large files that take time to load. By optimizing images for the web, you can reduce file sizes without sacrificing quality. There are many free online tools that can help you with this, such as TinyPNG or ImageOptim.
3. Minimize HTTP requests. When a user visits your page, the browser will make several requests to load all of the files needed to display it. Increasingly, browsers are able to make multiple requests at once, which reduces latency and loading times.
5. Get quality backlinks
Much like any good relationship, quality is more important than quantity when it comes to backlinks. In the world of SEO, a backlink is any link that points from one website to another.
Search engines use backlinks as a way to gauge the quality and relevancy of a site. The more high-quality backlinks a site has, the more likely it is to rank highly in search engine results pages (SERPs).
There are a few ways to get quality backlinks. One is to create great content that other people will want to link to. This could be anything from an informative blog post or article to an infographic or video.
Another way is to reach out to other websites in your industry and ask if they would be interested in linking to your content. You can also submit your site to directories and industry-specific lists.
6. Publish fresh content regularly
If you want to improve your SEO, one of the best things you can do is publish fresh content regularly. This will help your site to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs), and it will also give your visitors something new to read.
There are a few things to keep in mind when publishing fresh content: Make sure that your content is well-written and informative and use keyword-rich titles and descriptions to help your articles get found by searchers.
In addition, link to your new content from other pages on your site, and promote it through social media channels.
By following these tips, you’ll be able to get more eyes on your content – and that can only mean good things for your SEO.
7. Image Alt Text
If you want your website to rank higher in search engine results pages, adding image alt text is a great way to improve your SEO. Here are some tips to help you get started:
1. Use keywords in your image alt text. This will help your images show up when people are searching for those keywords.
2. Make sure the text is relevant to the image. It should describe what is happening in the image, or what the image is of.
3. Keep it short and sweet. Image alt text should be brief so that visitors can quickly get an idea of what the image is about.
4. Use different alt text for different images. Don't just use the same few words over and over again - mix them up to keep things interesting!
8. Organize Content with Headings (H1 to H6)
Headings are one of the most important elements of SEO. They help search engines understand the hierarchy of your content and make it easier for readers to find what they're looking for.
There are six levels of headings, from H1 (the most important) to H6 (the least important). Your title should be an H1, and you should use headings throughout your article to break up your content and make it easier to read.
Headings are also a great way to include keywords in your content without making it sound repetitive or like you're stuffing keywords into your article. By including relevant keywords in your headings, you can help improve your article's SEO.
9. Guest Post
If you want to improve your SEO, one of the best things you can do is write guest posts for other blogs in your industry. Not only will this help you build up your own authority and reputation, but it will also give you the chance to link back to your own website or blog in your author bio.
When writing a guest post, make sure that you:
Choose a relevant and high-quality blog to guest post on. Write an interesting and well-written article that will engage the readers of the blog. Include a link back to your website or blog in your author bio so that people can find out more about you and what you do. Make it easy for your readers to share your article by adding a short, catchy headline and encouraging comments. And finally, don’t forget to leave a comment on the post you’ve written.
10. Internal Link
Search engines use links to your website to discover new pages and understand how those pages are related. By adding internal links, you can help search engines find and index additional content on your site while also helping visitors navigate your site more easily. Here are few tips to improve your internal linking:
1. Use keyword-rich anchor text. When adding links, be sure to use anchor text that includes the target keywords for the page you're linking to. This will help both search engines and visitors understand what that page is about.
2. Link early and often. Add links to new pages as soon as they're published, and be sure to include links in any existing content that's relevant. The more links there are to a page, the more likely it is to be found by both search engines and visitors.
3. Create a logical link structure. Use a variety of internal links to connect related pages. If you have multiple products, link to them from your home page. Also, be sure that the structure of your site makes sense to visitors and can help them navigate more easily.
4. Avoid landmines. Don't use dynamic URLs in your anchor text. Dynamic URLs are those that contain the current date and time or a session identifier, such as "/sessionid/". For example, a URL might look like this: /mypage.asp?
Finally: Monitor your SEO progress
SEO can be a complex and time-consuming process, but it is important to monitor your progress to ensure that your efforts are paying off. Here are eight tips to help you track your SEO progress and improve your ranking:
1. Use Google Analytics to track your website traffic. This will give you an idea of how many people are visiting your site and how they are finding you.
2. Check your position in search engine results pages (SERPs). This will show you how well your site is ranking for specific keywords.
3. Use webmaster tools to get insights into your website's performance. Google Webmaster Tools can give you information about how often your site is being crawled by search engines and whether there are any errors that need to be fixed.
4. Keep an eye on your competition. This will let you know what your competitors are doing, how well they are doing it, and how to improve your performance.

Time to Call an SEO Consultant
If you are struggling with your SEO (Search Engine Optimization), if you are having trouble ranking up the search engine results, or lots of negative stuff about your website comes up before your website actually does, then it is time to call a SEO consultant.
What Does an SEO Consultant Do?
If you approach the consultant with a problem, they will help you solve the problem. If your problem is pretty general, such as if you walk in and say, “I can’t rank up on Google’s search engine results,” then they will offer a broad range of advice.
SEO consultants are not like house cleaners. They don’t enter a situation and make it better after a few hours. A consultant addresses your problems and helps you solve them. If you already know what your problem is, if it is something specific, then the consultant can get to work and solve it right away. If your problem is more general and you have tried a bunch of different things, then a lot of research is required and an action plan must be set in place.
Why is Research Required?
General problem solving approach means there may be many reasons why the general problem has emerged. The consultant will probably need to know exactly what you have been doing and trying over the past few years. This will help the consultant identify the problem.
One of the trickiest issues is when people use cheap SEO services. The consultant then has to figure out what the cheap SEO service did or has been doing in order to repair any damage that was done.
If the consultant doesn’t do the research, then how are they going to create a plan of action? How would a consultant know what has been tried and what will work?
Creating a Plan of Action
Even if you have hired a bunch of useless SEO services and they have messed up your search engine ranking, all is not lost. The first and most important thing is to ensure that any negative actions stop. If you or your SEO services are doing something wrong, then the consultant will put a stop to it. This stops any further SEO damage from taking place.
After that, the SEO plan will help fix the problems you have. If the problem is that you are not highly ranked on Google, then a plan will specify the tasks that need to be done on a weekly basis to fix the problem. There are no quick solutions, but with time and lots of work, almost any website can climb up the search engine results.
Find a Better Consultant
In many cases, the good consultants are the ones that are around the longest. You should probably beware of the companies that are new because they haven’t had time to prove themselves. The world of SEO consultancy is very difficult. The ones that make it over the long term are the ones who serve their customers the best. If you are looking for an SEO consultant, then get in touch with SEO Expert Danny. The team has a long established reputation for helping their customers achieve their goals within search engine marketing.

Take the Stress Out of Moving to a New State
Image via Pexels
Are you relocating to a new state? You have plenty to do, but some planning can make the process easier. Here are some things to consider from The Listing Team.
 Looking for Work
Finding a job in another state may seem daunting, but you can make the process go more smoothly:
 •       Be sure your resume and cover letter reflect your moving dates. Otherwise, there could be confusion about when (and where) you plan to start work.
•       Remember that a video interview from a different time zone may set you up for an early or late time frame. Work with it if you can — it demonstrates your adaptability.
•       Ask the company if it helps with relocation expenses. Knowing ahead of time can help you budget.
You can also consider starting a business. If this sounds like a good idea, begin by making a business plan. It improves your odds of succeeding. Your plan should include:
 •       A description of your company
•       Details on how you will sell your service or product
•       Your business structure
•       Strategies for funding your startup
•       Financial projections
When starting your business, don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by all the steps. Check out a great how-to guide on starting a business, which will walk you through everything you need to know from planning to permits. You can also pair up with a formation service to help you register the necessary paperwork with the state.
If you plan to start a business, you’ll need to learn a few things about the market. One of the most effective ways for a small business to market itself is through SEO. Search Engine Optimization is the process of optimizing your website to rank higher in Google searches. This can be achieved through optimizing your website content, using relevant keywords, and building links to your website from other high-quality websites. Content marketing is another effective marketing technique for small businesses. This involves creating and sharing engaging content (such as blog posts, infographics, and videos) that will help to promote your brand and drive traffic to your website. Check out websites like CornerstoneContent.com to help you put together a content strategy that makes sense for your business.
 Building a Home
Ideally, you’ll want to build your new home in your new city. This allows you to ensure that your new home will have all the features you want without any issues to concern you. To Live New, build your new home in one of many communities throughout Virginia by working with the professionals at The Listing Team.
A newly built home is a big investment, and it’s worth protecting. To protect it you should look into a home warranty and determine whether the price is worth it. Even in a new home, you can’t predict if the AC unit or refrigerator will turn out to be a lemon. Instead of having major expenses to contend with, a home warranty can help keep you on budget by covering expensive repairs or replacements. Research home warranty options before choosing the best.
 Planning the Move
Do you want to make moving easier? Start before you pack your boxes:
 •       For three weeks before you move, plan meals around what you have in the freezer, refrigerator, and cabinets. You can donate leftover nonperishable food before you go.
•       Find an empty spot and create a donation pile. Eliminate as much as possible — the less stuff you take with you, the easier the moving process is.
•       Measure the large items you're taking with you. This step helps you avoid awkward surprises like being unable to fit your king-sized waterbed through the front door.
•       Schedule a moving company early. Choose a midweek day to keep costs down.
 Adjusting to Your New Home
Map out important places: groceries, pharmacies, convenience stores, and hospitals. It helps you navigate your neighborhood. Ask your neighbors for recommendations. This step does double duty by introducing you to new people. Did your coworkers invite you to dinner? Accept the offer. It helps you build connections in your new state. If you need space, though, give yourself time to adjust. A big move is a lot to take in.
Getting connected with a doctor in a new city can be challenging. Not everyone has time to break away from their day to wait at a doctor’s office. Fortunately, a single online doctor visit via a telemedicine platform can save you both time and money in your busy schedule. You can book an appointment online with a licensed physician, often on the same day, and meet from the comfort of home.
A solid plan can be your best friend as you relocate. Take steps to find work (or start a business), find ways to make your move easier, and look for strategies that will help you settle in quickly. Soon you will be enjoying your adventure.

Most Significant SEO Changes in a Decade: Google’s ‘Helpful Content
In the last decade, we have seen some of the most significant changes to the SEO landscape. One of the most notable changes has been Google’s shift towards prioritizing “helpful content” in its search algorithm.
This change was first announced in 2015, but it has taken a few years for the full effects to be felt. In the past, SEO was all about gaming the system and trying to trick Google into giving your content a higher ranking.
However, that is no longer the case. These days, the focus is on creating content that is helpful and useful to people. You will naturally rank higher in Google’s search results if you can do that.
The Definition of ‘Helpful Content
So, what exactly is “helpful content”? To put it simply, it is content that provides value to the reader. It answers their questions, solves their problems, and helps them to understand complicated concepts. In the past, a lot of SEO-focused content was nothing more than fluff. It was designed to keyword stuff and to fill up space rather than to be helpful. However, times have changed. These days, Google is much more sophisticated and can tell the difference between helpful and unhelpful content. As a result, they are now ranking the applicable content much higher in their search results.
‘Helpful Content’ as a Ranking Factor
So, how exactly does helpful content help your ranking? Well, as we mentioned, Google prioritizes optimozed it in its search algorithm. This means that all other things being equal, a page with helpful content is more likely to rank higher than a page without it. However, it is essential to note that valuable content is not the only ranking factor. There are still other things that you need to do to rank highly. For example, you must ensure that your website is fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to use. It would help if you also had high-quality backlinks from other websites. However, if you can create helpful content, you will be well on ranking highly in Google’s search results.
How to Assess ‘Helpful Content’? How to Assess ‘Helpful Content’?
Now that we know what helpful content/Google SEO Content  is and how it can help your ranking, the next question is, how do you assess whether your content is valuable? Here are a few questions that you can ask yourself:
Does your content answer the reader’s question?
Does it solve the reader’s problem?
Is it easy to understand?
Is it well-researched?
Does it provide value to the reader?
If you can answer “yes” to all of these questions, you can be confident that you are creating helpful content on par with the required Google SEO Content guidelines.
Reasons to Produce ‘Helpful Content
Of course, SEO is not the only reason to create helpful content. Even if you are not concerned with ranking highly in Google’s search results, there are still plenty of other good reasons to do it. For example, helpful content is more likely to be shared and to go viral. It is also more likely to build trust and a good relationship with the reader. In the end, whether you are focused on SEO or not, creating helpful content is always a good idea.
Other Factors in Google’s ‘Helpful Content’ Update
There are other factors in Google’s algorithm update besides helpful Google SEO Content ; Google is also looking for other factors when ranking a website.
These include:
Website design As we’ve mentioned before, website design is essential for several reasons. Not only does it influence how user-friendly your site is, but it can also affect your search engine ranking. This is because Google considers things like your site’s layout, navigation, and overall look when determining where to rank it in search results.
Mobile-friendliness Mobile-friendly websites can be challenging to use on a smartphone or tablet. They may have pages that are too small to read or tap or require users to zoom in and out to see the content. This can be frustrating for users and may cause them to leave your website and turn to a competitor’s site that is easier to use.
Website speed Website speed has always been a factor in Google’s search algorithm, but this update is expected to play an even more significant role. Google wants to ensure that users can find the information they are looking for as quickly as possible, so websites that load quickly and are easy to navigate will be favored over those that don’t.
Ease of use Ease of use is how easy it is for someone to consume and understand your content. Google looks at factors like the length of your content, the formatting, and whether or not you use images or other multimedia. If your content is easy to read and understand, it’s more likely to be considered helpful by Google and surface in search results.
Quality backlinks Quality backlinks are links from other websites that point to your content. Google uses backlinks as a signal of the quality of your content. If your content has a lot of high-quality backlinks, it is more likely to rank higher in the search results.
