Amelia Eve - Gold Rush Virtual Event

So, I think most of the Amelia Eve events are done for the day. If not, I'll add to this tomorrow, but I'm going to post what I've gathered so far here under the cut.

One important thing to note: Everyone agrees that Amelia is the kindest and sweetest person out there. She's also adorable.

Her dog's name is Nala, like from the Lion King.

The domestic Dani/Jamie scenes from episode nine were all shot in one day.

The lake scene felt the most real. She had hoped she wouldn't have to swim wearing jeans, since they're so heavy when wet. She wound up filming wearing a scuba suit, denim jeans, Converse, and a weight belt.

Amelia feels Jamie's Dad (Dennis) influenced how she carried herself.

The offer of company and pinky swear scene was an improvised scene.

Wasn't aware she was the love interest when she booked the part.

Didn't think of it as a lesbian role - just two people who loved each other - focusing on the love and not the type of relationship is why she thinks it worked. “Even once I found out I never thought of it as a lesbian role. I didn’t think of that side of things. I just was like this woman loves this woman We were just like these people love each other. That’s kind of where it starts and ends.”

Apparently, she's found more than one thing out on the street. There's the red couch that she posted on her Instagram ages ago, a XBOX 360, and a plant that she adopted and named Octopussy.

Her favorite thing about Jamie is the way she loves the people in her life.

EDIT 2: Asked what football team she supports: (paraphrasing) "Fulham but only because I went to one of their matches with some mates one time and Fulham never win but that one time I went to their match they happened to win for like the first time ever so I bought a bunch of their scarves and t shirts and decided to support them but I don’t really watch football so i don’t know if they’ve ever won a match since but probably not."

EDIT 3: Amelia's favorite Eminem song is "The Kids" and after she said that, she started really badly rapping a verse. (A valiant attempt to smile politely and not to burst out laughing was made.)

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this is the sort of spouse Amanda is? Is this a callout post bashing her and not the violent, sociopathic ass she calls a husband? God no! This is simply evidence backing up the fact that to some extent, she is as bad as bloody Michael! That their marriage is toxic on both sides because fuck we all know it is. This is literally just after coming out of the mission where you catch her and the tennis coach, leading to Michael’s outburst which leads him to being hit with a steel bat by Martin Madrazo, bringing us closer toward the mission where he fucks up and speaks that stupid line, causing his best buddy to come looking for revenge. So, throughout the game, Amanda is like “I was faithful up until I found you in a stripper!”, even tho Jimmy himself and Amanda note the fact that she is/was a skank back in the day, even recently enough that she admits banging Jimmy’s teacher! (Can’t remember if it was the fourth grade or fifth) along with a slew of other men. Yes, Michael speaks of their open marriage agreement, I am not bashing on that remotely, plenty do it, plenty are happy with it, good on them, but, what does my head in, is when she plays up the faithful wife done wrong by her cheating douchebag husband, as if it gives her the right to go cheat in the name of fairs fair! News flash, it don’t! and any woman, or man, with self-respect, knows that if someone cheats, they don’t love you, or respect you in return, they ain’t gonna do it once or however many times until caught and then like a naughty dog, get their shit together, nor can you train them not to run after whatever crotch floats their way, it just doesn’t happen. But in the case where it does happen, they are the exception, not the proof, not the rule, they’re just a fucking unicorn! But back to Amanda. She is just as bad, we see that by just going online in-game and finding her dating profile, hearing her flirt with the tennis coach, hearing her throughout the whole story about how she’s so unhappy and wishes she could leave Michael and be done with everything! be happy! Bitch, you fucking can! But you choose to stick around! YOU CHOOSE! I’m not unaware that maybe she stays for money reasons, or that maybe somewhere inside she does in fact, still love Michael and wishes they could get some sort of normality going, but, for anyone with a brain in their head, it ain’t ever gonna happen. Also, you got the kids but at the end of gta, and the beginning, they are clearly adults (18/20s) and can go fend for themselves! Sorry but if you’re keeping it together for the kids, yah dumb! Especially when they grown. Call me harsh, uneducated in the way the world works, how people work, but from experience, being unhappy and using that as a stick to beat your partner with, is not the answer! It never is or will be, ever! Get wise, pack your bags, stop hoeing around and go be happy. I mean if you wanna be a hoe then at least do it because you want to! And not as a revenge ploy because you’ve been cheated on by some ass. Amanda is a woman scorned and she has every right to be hurt, upset, angry, every emotion under the fucking sun, but, at this point, you get the idea they’ve been in this loop for at the very least, around 12 years, maybe more, maybe less, I dunno and probably never will, and with the games choppy backstory snippets, its impossible to ever imagine us getting the truth and the whole damn truth! But for now, I will use this text message as proof that she, like Michael, is an asshole. they’re both immature idiots, never fully out of their teenage years and lovers on the run mindset, and so like idiot teenagers, they act out, pull shit on each other, last out and make promises neither one can keep because their entire marriage is based on bullshit! And by the timeline of things, we assume the reason behind their wedding was so Tracey wouldn’t be born out of wedlock, which back then and even today, is/was a big no no for alot of peeps. I’m gonna wrap this up because I can already hear keyboard warriors grabbing their cups of breast-milk, ready to own my ass, and with my declining ability to be nice, I refuse to be one of those mouthy shits who make a fandom look like crap. So catch yall later. And to the keyboard warriors...it’s not breastmilk, it’s semi skim. Momma don’t love you enough to pump anymore.

How do you feel about GTAV almost 6 years later? Does it hold up or do you see flaws you didn't when you first played? Also, how do you feel about Rockstar being scummy with the casino they introduced in GTA Online?

I’d been sitting, waiting for GTAV on PC to get cheap enough where I wouldn’t feel guilty for double dipping after owning it on 360. That actually happened in June-ish, and I started replaying it, albiet very slowly.

It holds up a lot better than GTAIV does, I’ll tell you that.

What strikes me is just how much money Rockstar spent on that game, clearly in excess. The game is absolutely stuffed to the brim with tiny, one-off details that nobody would ever see. Some of it was undoubtedly added for the PC/Xbox One/PS4 ports that increased the overall detail, but still.

On one hand, it makes Los Santos feel like a living, breathing space. Every road, every sidewalk, every corner store feels important. At the same time, though, it is at the heart of a crossroads between whether or not any of this makes the game more fun to play.

It’s tremendous just getting out of your car and exploring the streets of GTAV in first person. There’s nothing like it. But when you get bored of doing that, what’s left?

There’s no changing the fact that there are places on the map that, at least in single player, are totally empty. They serve no purpose. There’s stadiums, horse racing tracks, and yes, that casino. Obviously these are spaces that now sometimes have functions in GTA Online, but six years ago they didn’t, and it’s possible they were never meant to. You can’t tell me that six years ago Rockstar was honestly planning on opening the casino in GTA Online now.

Which is the number one problem I’ve always had with this game, and it was technically a problem I had with GTA4, too: they’re smaller games. There’s less to do in them. Some of that makes sense, given the increase in development costs. All games have technically shrunk in scope (hello, Skyrim).

But Rockstar went out of their way to spend money on frivolous things. And, obviously, they’d already built a lot of these locations. If you happen to go to the dog track in the original Xbox 360 version, it’s got a really eerie feeling to it. All of the ambient sounds disappear, no pedestrians spawn anywhere inside of it, it feels kind of unfinished. Obviously if it’s there, it was probably for something, but they didn’t have the resources to make it work.

But they had enough time and money to produce something like an hour’s worth of fake TV shows and fake movies for the player to watch. They created entire named NPCs that aren’t involved in missions, but have unique designs, unique animations, and sometimes minutes worth of dialog you may never hear.

Again, these are all really cool details! But you also have to stop and think about priorities. If cutting down on these unique one-off details gave me more missions, more actual gameplay, I might take it. Because once you hear the sidewalk preacher give his sermon once, you don’t need to hear it again, and it doesn’t really provide a whole lot of additional fun, either.

Because that’s the long and short of it, really: there just doesn’t feel like there’s enough game in GTAV. It’s a big game, there’s tons of atmosphere, but you run out of things to do pretty quickly (especially for Franklin). The ending doesn’t even feel like an ending, it just kind of trails off in to a wet fart. The story has nothing to say and our characters don’t learn anything or meaningfully grow as people. There needed to be more side activities, there needed to be more heists (which were planned), there needed to be real single player DLC (which was teased)!

Instead, Rockstar poured everything they had in to GTA Online, something that is apparently an insane nightmare to actually try playing, especially on PC where hacking is easy, rampant, and usually unpunished.

And even though I think there’s a lot about GTAV that’s still pretty fun, it’s difficult NOT to be incredibly bitter about the whole game.

That’s not even touching on, like, the trend since GTAIV of telling serious crime dramas in a world still obsessed with teenager toilet humor. GTAV in particular feels like, because the game has so much detail, that bar of quality for jokes was astoundingly low. There are so many places to put jokes now that they couldn’t just hire one person to make up funny things for all of them, so it feels like whatever the person assigned to that section could come up with, they used. It leads to a lot of stuff that is tragically unfunny or just plain stupid because a dozen people who have never written a joke in their lives are painting these textures. And its everywhere! On everything!

Meanwhile the actual storywriters of GTA sit, noses firmly in the air, sipping expensive brandy and smoking cigars, pretending they’re writing Goodfellas or something, while they have fake airliners named after farts, fake internet services named after piss, and fake electronics companies named after boners.

At this point the casino in GTA Online doesn’t even surprise me. Spend real money on fake money to buy fake casino tokens to gamble. Just the worst. GTA Online made this one of the most profitable games of all time and apparently it wasn’t enough money for them.

It’s gonna take a lot more than just an outrageous development budget for me to care about GTA6.

Best Video Games of the last decade

The last decade was sensational, a lot of stuff happened, there were dramatic changes all across, especially in videogames. Technological advancements in computer hardware pushed graphical limits and the visual fidelity in gaming kept evolving. Games got more immersive and believable.

The videogame industry saw major changes like the rise of digital gaming platforms such as Steam, Origin, Epic Games Store and so on.

Even the Consoles saw dramatic changes. The PS4 was a major player in the market but Steam on the other hand dominated the PC landscape. Epic Games Store also got a lot of attention.

Even VR stepped out of the shadows and major companies like Microsoft, Google, HTC, Samsung, Facebook and many others discovered the potential of the medium and embarked on the ultimate quest of making the best VR headset in the market. Even Sony made a VR headset for the PS4.

Technological advancements are fine but it is important for us to understand that Videogames cannot just solely depend on technology to be an immersive and unforgettable experience.

They have to have an engaging story, solid and balanced game play mechanics, immersive sound design, perfect balance between narrative and pacing and a few other major factors are what determine a good game and a great game. Ultimately they have to deliver an unforgettable experience.

So after all the trials and tribulations, a few games have emerged to show the world how powerful the medium can be.

So without any further ado, lets jump into the list of best games of the last decade.

Read Dead Redemption 2

The critically acclaimed open world wild west adventure game comes straight from Rockstar Games, the same team that has made the GTA Series. RDR2 is considered as one of the most successful titles of the last decade as it gives you a vast sprawling open world with staggering amount of detail. This is one of the most detailed games of the decade, coming somewhere close the end of the current generation of consoles; it utilizes the fullest potential of modern day hardware and delivers a stunning dynamic open world experience like never before.

CS:GO

Yes, you might be wondering why is CS:GO on this list, well it is there for a good reason. Not only this online classic tactical shooter still among the largest and most played games of all time, it is fun to play even in this age and day. CS:GO manages to bring back an old formula and still keeps it relevant at this age. Countless events and tournaments are centered around CS:GO. Back in the day CS was mod out of another legendary game which we will definitely discuss some day. CS single handedly showed the world what mods are capable of achieving and gave birth to the mod culture. There are quite many games which were mods of the past and apart from that, the game is still fun as hell and me and my friends still play it.

Fortnite

Fortine has a very strange history, it was originally a defense game like minecraft where you build during the day and protect during the night but it wasn’t that successful. People had already seen the idea before, so when Battle Royale was gaining popularity, Fortnite decided to mix its defense formula with BR. The ratings for Fortnite just went off the charts and many people played it as it was released as a free to play title. It had a cosmetic market though which got Epic tons of revenue and that’s how Epic Games Store came into picture. So if a game can do so much for a company, you can definitely process the impact it had on the industry overall.

DOTA 2

Talk about mods again, DOTA was originally a genre defining mod of War Craft 3 but someone else saw its potential. DOTA was more of an underground thing, it was never so popular in the mainstream and very few knew a genre like MOBA even existed. It was around 2009 when I first saw DOTA in a cyber café where some young kids were playing it on LAN. At first, it looked like War Craft 3 but the mechanics were totally different. Soon I learnt it had a cult underground following and Valve made the smart move of acquiring the talent behind this mod and decided to make this thing into a fully blown sequel. DOTA 2 which pushed MOBA into the mainstream. Obviously there were others who joined the bandwagon of MOBA and tried to distinguish themselves. League of Legends is also another MOBA game which is popular but DOTA 2 is still considered as the king and despite of its age is still among the top played games on steam world wide. There are people who have played the game for a staggering 10000 hours and still find new and interesting things. It’s a game which is easy to learn but difficult to master.

Batman Arkham City

Batman needs no introduction, for those who do not know, Batman is a fully ripped grown man who wears Egyptian cotton underwear over a grey suit and is passionate about jumping from building to building during the night and saves the city from bad peeps. He is THE Superhero.

If you haven’t played any of the Batman games of the Arkham trilogy, stop reading this list right away and immediately go and play it! Its really good.

It is debatable which one of the trilogy is the best and its very difficult to make that choice. I personally like all the games but Arkham City is amazing for several reasons as it is an ultimate battle between Batman and Joker, the game goes open world and Gotham City is such well crafted. The Unreal Engine does a marvelous job of putting it all together and the game runs so well AND this is why I could not chose Arkham Knight over Arkham City. Arkham Knight is miles ahead of Arkham City but I made the ultimate mistake of playing it on the PC which was a bad experience. Infact the game was such a mess, Steam had to pull it off and give out refunds to the buyers. It was a great experience on consoles but this misstep was the sole reason why I did not chose it for this list.

BUT now the game has been patched extensively and is in good shape. So if you are a PC gamer and want to be like Batman, this has to be the Ultimate Batman Experience.

Bloodborne

Ever heard of souls like titles? These are considered to be difficult as combat in them is of a different nature. These are not your ordinary action games where you go in front of your enemy and start spamming attacks on them. Souls like titles have be played tactically, timing and accuracy are the name of the game. When to strike, when to dodge and parry are crucial for every encounter and even the most basic enemy can strike you down if you are not paying attention.

Bloodborne is an Action RPG title developed by From Software exclusively for the PS4, set in a dark Victorian world we are tasked to hunt down to take down perils of an odd strange world. Blood Bourne stands out for its unique art style, game play mechanics and an engaging narrative, atmospheric and immersive world design and ruthless difficulty. This game has a deep and interesting lore so a lot of content awaits.

Be warned, this game can crush your soul.

Neir Automata

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk future where sprawling urban scapes are retaken my mother nature, humanity is wiped out by what was considered as their best creation.

Take role of an enhanced cybernetic warrior who is deadly and beautiful at the same time and hack N slash your way through hoards of deadly AI constructs as you make your way to the answers of all the questions that surround the collapse of civilization.

The stunning art style, the graphics, the immersive world and level design blended with fast paced combat makes Neir Automata an unforgettable experience.

INSIDE

Inside is developed by Playdead, the same studio who made Limbo. Inside is a staggering achievement in the 2D side scroller category of games. You take role of an unknown kid who just appears in this strange dystopian world where society has changed. The world is hostile and humanity is engulfed into some kind of a strange social experiment where a few selected individuals of the upper echelon are on the verge of creating something far beyond anything we can possibly imagine.

Inside is ruthless, deadly and hostile but the art style, presentation, pacing and its subtle yet effective gameplay pulls out the unimaginable out of a genre that is so old. It redefines the side scroller genre.

Inside manages to pull you in right from the get go and as you play further, you are just lost in it.

Its depressing, dark, bold and ambitious.

Don’t miss this one out.

Horizon Zero Dawn

A PS4 exclusive developed by Guerrilla games, HZD is an open world action RPG where civilization has moved beyond its post apocalyptic phase and mankind has once again emerged out of the darkness of this cataclysmic event and is facing a whole new world.

Civilization is rebooted but is engraved on the remnants of a past civilization. It is still unknown what cause the wiping of the earlier race.

What is known are the strange metallic beasts which roam around the waste lands of earth.

Imagine fighting a giant robotic T-Rex with a bow and arrow.

That’s HZD in one line.

Metal Gear Solid 5

You wake up in a hospital one day and the doc informs you that you were in comma for 9 years, how will you feel?

Well, Snake doesn’t feel bad at all. Only few hours after waking up you are hunted down by an unknown mercenary group who simply wants you dead for reasons unknown and weird things happen that night. You still manage to make an escape, thanks to your buddy who was undercover as a patient and was protecting you all these years. Soon you embark into a Journey into the heart of Afghanistan to find the answers.

MGS5 is developed my Konami, this is when the legendary Hideo Kojima was part of the team.

MGS5 had a rough development cycle but it turned out to be a great game.

It’s a sandbox stealth action title where you can approach your target or objective anyhow you like or find it convenient. There is a lot of freedom in this game.

You can even hide in a cardboard box and turn it into a makeshift stealth device.

There is base building, you recruit captured soldiers and make them a part of your team.

It’s a damn fine game and the story sometimes just catches you by surprise.

Portal 2

Portal 2 is a first person puzzle platformer developed by Valve. These guys are magical, whatever they touch becomes gold. Portal 2 puts you in the shoes of a test subject who is a part of a scientific experiment where they are testing teleportation technology, you get hands on a portable teleportation device or simply put, a portal gun. It shoots portals of walls.

You solve puzzles by shooting portals and make use of physics. Stuff such as gravity, momentum, reflection and so on come into the picture. Thanks to the Source engine. The story is also engaging and characters are really deep and well written.

You teleport your way out of these test chambers only to discover all is not what it seems.

Portal 2 is definitely one of the finest games of this decade.

GTA 5

Seriously? Wondering why this is on the list. Go play it!

Elders Scroll 5 Skyrim

Its not everyday that you bump into a fellow adventurer who has stopped adventuring cause one fine day he took an arrow in his knee.

Skyrim is open world action RPG that is bold, ambitious and probably the best game made by Bethesda Game Studios.

Skyrim takes place in an enigmatic fantasy world which is engulfed in a political conflict and suddenly an old prophesied threat emerges and is bent on destroying the world.

You take role of an unknown traveler who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, but as events unfold. Turns out you are not an ordinary person, you are THE dragon born. The only thing that stands between the dragons and the destruction of Skyrim is you.

Skyrim has a lot of content, side quests and the story is deep. You can keep playing Skrym for hours and hours and get lost in a different dimension.

The last of Us

Naughty Dogs knows what it does. They are the masters of their craft when it comes to developing breathtaking narrative driven experiences. The sheer amount of attention to detail which was earlier observed in the Uncharted games successfully transcends into The Last Of Us.

Exclusive to the PS4, The Last Of Us puts you into the shoes of a man who has lost many things. The world has collapsed and strange mutants ravage the world. As the man of a family it is upto you to protect your loved ones from the perils of the new dangerous world.

The production quality of the game is what sets it apart. A dark and mature story backed by well choreographed cinematics, well acted characters and a blend of stealth horror action gameplay totally set this game apart from anything on this list.

You should get a PS4 only to play this game. Its that good!

Battlefield 1

This in my opinion is the best battlefield game in recent years, obviously there are other battlefield games and I was thinking of voting for BFBC2, this one won for many reasons.

BF1 is a fast paced action multiplayer experience with a solid punch of World War 1.

The originality and the attention to detail BF1 offers is insane, right from the vast deserts in the middle east to conquests in various parts of Europe, Dice has made the perfect formula for World War 1. Its frantic combat is better than ever, tweaking a few mechanics the game is now more enjoyable and fast paced. Its like the perfect spot between fast paced combat and quick general perception of reaction to things.

The game looks beautiful and environments, animations weapon and character models are so well detailed, they all scream authenticity.

64 vs 64 players never gets dull. Also EA was less greedy about this one, I still feel bad for the Star Wars Battlefront games.

Black Mesa

This one is not a game, it’s a mod but it has to be on the list because it’s a Half-Life fan remake on the source engine, if you are unaware of Half-Life, you are dead to me.

Black Mesa is a masterpiece and it totally reimagines the original Half-Life in a way just like Valve would have. Seeing new areas in Source Engine is a visual delight, its hard to believe Wwhat limits can be Source pushed to, considering its such an old engine. Valve was truly thinking long term when they made the source engine.

Basically Half-Life puts you into the shoes of the theoretical physicist who works at a the Black Mesa Research Facility. One day an experiment goes horribly wrong and you rip open a dimension into an alien world and now its upto you to fix things.

Half-Life 1 was revolutionary and helped defined the FPS genre. SO YOU HAVE TO PLAY THIS.

The Xen levels are out now and the game has left early access, so now is the perfect time to play this timeless masterpiece.

Crowbar Collective has done a neat job.

Overwatch

This one is my eyes is the true spiritual successor to Team Fortress 2. Made ground up by Blizzard, this one was a very different thing from them.

Overwatch borrows heavy inspiration from TF2 and manages to fuse it with MOBA perfectly.

On the surface I’ve seen many people complaining this is a TF2 ripoff and its rich dudes Paladin, tbh it is like Paladin but both games have different dynamics.TF2 is more of an old school class based shooter at this point and OW is more fast and streamlined.

The wide variety of characters in OW may seem unnecessary but believe me, each one of them is well made and balanced. Its like Blizzard has a secret recipe of game balance and it becomes very clear how important it is to nail that balance in this hybrid genre when you get your hands on similar titles who achieve this perfection.

The art style is spot on and meant to age well. The graphics will never go old, such is the art style.

Jump into a few games and you wont even realize how the hours pass.

Resident Evil 2

Later this decade a legendary face re-emerged from the mythical shadows of mystery. Resident Evil is Capcoms that comes into everyones mind when we speak of survival horror games, this was the title that created the genre back in the day.

The remake is very faithful to the original, it successfully captures the tense atmosphere and the struggle of managing resources while scavenging the same old corridors of Racoon City Police Station.

While graphics and other things are aligned with 2019 standards, what is more surprising is the fact that the game is so perfectly transferred from those pre rendered 3D environmental backgrounds with fixed cameras into true 3D yet it manages to retain the whole essence of the thing. Its is big achievement and the game does its own thing in a great way.

Animations, Models, Textures, Sounds, Gunplay and the Zombie AI are perfect and the all new Mr. X is totally rad!

Resident Evil 2 being a new comer in this decade has made a solid spot on this list.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

The game that saved Star Wars, honestly there were not that many good Star Wars titles in the recent years, both Battlefront games had their issues, while the 2nd one had a good production value, it stirred up the hive with its surprise mechanics. It was basically a Star Wars themed Casino and was brutally P2W. They have patched it now and is pretty playable but whats gone is gone.

Jedi The Fallen Order takes places after order 66 is executed. The Jedi order has fallen and the remnants are forced into exile. The empire has gripped the galaxy with its iron fist and the game puts you into the shoes of a young jedi who is accidently discovered by a high ranking Sith Inquisitor, the event propels the young Jedi into an epic journey of self discovery.

You travel across various planets in the galaxy and learn stuff about the lore which gives the series a fresh angle. It is clear that Respawn entertainment has put a lot of heart and soul into this game, it shows deep respect to the source material. Star Wars needed that. Also, the combat is fresh. It borrows the best of all the successful mechanics introduced in various games of the generation like platforming, souls like combat give a realistic sense to saber battles. It feels like a true Star Wars game.

Overall, this one just came out at the end of the decade and took all of us by surprise.

The Legend of Zelda Breath Of The Wild

Zelda always hands over the torch to the next generation of Nintendo Consoles. BOTW is a fresh take on the long running Zelda series. The series departs from its previous gameplay styles and throws Link into an open world filled with perils. But unlike most games, Zelda is a very relaxing game, the art style is soothing and the game is fun.

You can play this one at your own pace and follow your objectives the way you like. The game looks simple on the surface but whatever goes down the hood is very complex as the game takes interactivity to a whole new level. Climb huge rock faces, cut trees, cook food, find rare loot, craft rare stuff and do all this at your own pace.

DOOM

Rip and Tear baby! Doom 2016 is simply awesome, its fast, brutal, frantic and fluid. Story is classic as ever, where the UAC accidentally opens a portal to hell and now all the demons are pouring in from everywhere. The key difference between the previous Doom games and this one is, earlier you were stuck in a room with demons, now the demons are stuck in a room with you.

Doom gives you a huge arsenal of weapons at your disposal and heaps of demons to kill, kill them the way you see fit.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

OOF…..Witcher 3….what can I say…..

CDPR has dethroned Valve in terms of game design, this is what has happened this decade. There was a time when Valve used to make the best games, now its these guys.

You step into the shoes of Geralt, a professional monster slayer who has embarked on a journey to find his missing daughters in a land that is engulfed in conflict.

Witcher 3 takes place on a vast open world which is stunningly detailed, every 45 seconds you bump into something fresh and exciting. The world of Witcher 3 is well crafted, every section of this world feels vivid. The main story line is engaging but even the side quests are meaningful which is not commonly seen in most games.

The game lets you make choices and the story branches out as per the choices you make which drastically alter the outcome of the game which also gives it a high replay value.

If you call yourself a gamer, you have to play this.

Howdy! Thanks for the ask! I am as long-winded as ever.

F. canon fics or au?

I mean technically all I write is AU because I hardly ever write canon ships!

It depends on the fandom, and also the level of AU. For fandoms like Teen Wolf, I don’t mind canon fics but I also really, really enjoy canon divergent AUs because I kind of fell out of love with the show about halfway through and never got attached to any of the later pack members, so I tend to stick with the earlier pack. I write a lot of AUs here too - like the fake dating Hale visit AU I’m struggling through, or the one that I scrapped last night and am starting over. Or the Pokemon AU.

Merlin is special because I love the canon but I tend to do an AU in canon? Like... usually the last episode just doesn’t happen. Or I build on top of it. I love Arthur Comes Back stories.

Then, like in Star Trek AOS I tend to stick to canon because I find it more engrossing than AU, same with a lot of the MCU for me. Reading-wise, I can read Marvel and ST AUs but I very, very rarely write them.

I think the Harry Potter fandom has collectively decided to go AU from the epilogue (that’s a joke, a lot of great fics are out there about the epilogue but man do I hate it on principle). I certainly typically only write canon divergent for HP, but hardly ever outright AU.

Supernatural, I can go AU or canon, but I typically only stick to canon up to like season 6 because I wasn’t a fan of the show after that.

RPF is pretty much always AU for me, especially CW RPF and 1D, but I think that’s a difficult one to gauge. Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter RPF is honestly less RPF and more writing about characters they’ve all created with their own names in various video game worlds, and I tend to go with Minecraft or GTA fics there.

I think the only fandom that I really actively stick to canon is Leverage, because it’s just so damn good and they work so well together.

Okay, so I think it’s Lending Softer Ears to My Lungs.

So I loved writing Lending Softer Ears to My Lungs because I love working through grief, and I love the idea of a grief “fix-it” where the person you’re grieving isn’t really gone, and you’re not really alone. It’s kind of a catharsis, and I wrote it as a response to a prompt, yes, but I also used it as a way to maybe work through some of my own losses. It would be nice, when someone is gone - passed away or just not in our lives anymore - to be able to have that person helping us along or just being able to see them one more time. I also like the idea of the “you’ll see them again someday” coming true - I think that’s why I write Arthur Comes Back fics as often as I do. I don’t really believe in a heaven, at least not the Christian version, and I don’t know exactly what happens, but I like the idea of the people who leave us never really being gone.

Also I think my writing in that fic is bomb af. Like, if I want to reread my own stuff, I consider it good - if I never want to read it again, I figure it’s decent/bad and just... never look at it again.

M. least favourite fic of yours?

Again! Hard choice. I very, very rarely write fics that I actively don’t like - I usually scrap them and rework them if I get part of the way through and realize that I don’t dig where it’s going. I very rarely put something out on AO3 or this blog that I’m not at least kind of satisfied with.

That said! I do have a couple I don’t really feel are my best? That, looking back, I see things I could have done differently.

I’m not really happy with Things You Said While We Were Driving - I tried having the extra comments of other people in the car and commenters seem to like it, but I feel like it interrupts the flow. I don’t think it will be something I repeat, at least not in the same way.

First Blog, Maybe More to Come?

Hey everyone. Yes I know. Right now there is no “everyone”, right now its just me typing/speaking into the internet to just me and my pup (who is currently asleep) and whatever game I am currently playing on my PS4. I don’t know what I will blog about, maybe work, games, life (OK, I don’t really have a life so that last one is a lie, sorry). But all I know is I like to type. So for now, this blog might just be me typing random stuff, or going on rants, or both. Stay tuned and find out! Let’s get started (if I can think of anything to type about)...

........ Got it! Lemme reveal a few things about myself. Here we go: (don’t worry, nothing too personal, just some things you may not know about me)

Where to begin? How about the fact that I have had a YouTube account for about 4 or 5 years. tried doing YouTube at the start but I bought a cheap capture card off eBay, it recorded a few minutes of decent footage of my GTA Online gameplay on my PS3 (Yes, that’s right, I started YouTube on my PS3, kind of, not really, cause it failed) and then the capture card stopped recording actual audio and decided to record a terrible screeching/scratching noise instead of the game’s audio. So I stopped for a few years. Once I got my PS4, I got a free to play game until I could afford a game. The first game I ever got for the PS4 was MineCraft PS4 Edition. ($5 since I had bought it on PS3, thank you to whomever came up with that genius idea!!) And that’s where my first video came into play (no pun intended). I live streamed it and my first ever viewer was a kid named Eric (sorry to put your name out there my friend but major shout out to you) whom I haven’t heard from in awhile. To my friend who’s name I can’t remember but made a second account on YouTube just to comment on some vids here and there, I apologize for not remembering your name (I have a terrible memory) and thank you for sticking around.

Skip to a few years from my first live-stream and I now have a few more subscribers. And I am very thankful to every single one of them. I may not be making money off the videos (and I probably never will) but to those who watch my videos and streams, and comment in both the live chat and on the videos, I thank you. Here’s where I am going to get real with you all here (again no one at the time of typing this since I’ve barely advertised this Tumblr, or any Tumblr lol) but for those you who may be reading this in the future. I have gone through depression in the past, It’s been a few years since my last serious case of depression (which lasted 6 years) and I even tried to commit suicide a few times. But at everything else in life I sucked at it and obviously was unsuccessful. Oh and when I say I suck at everything in life, it’s not me having no confidence or any sh*t like that, It’s me being realistic and knowing what I can and can’t do, and what my limitations are. I’m not going to tell you I can do something unless I actually can, otherwise its not having confidence, It’s me lying to you. And I don’t like lying to people. If I think I can do it I will tell you “I think I can do it” or something along those lines. Oh and before we continue, I ain’t telling you this sh*t to get your pity or anything like that. I just want to be honest with everyone here and I figure if you scroll down this far to find this post, and then have read all the way down here you deserve to know the truth.

Back to the confession time. As I was saying I have gone through depression in the past. It reoccurs from time to time but nothing I can’t deal with. And as stated above I have been doing YouTube for 3-4 years (actively, in a row, day in, day out, working as hard as I could on it) and have only gotten to barely over 300 subs. Which again, I am grateful for every single on you, I really am. But I was (and still am) doing YouTube to not only save my fun moments, but to try and make a career or some kind of money off it. So seeing that I have been working my a** off for 4 years and I didn’t even have 1,000 subscribers, wasn’t a happy thing. I was about to quit YouTube to try and focus my time elsewhere like everyone in my life has been saying. Because something you should know is EVERYONE in my life as been saying I won’t make any money of YouTube and I should just give up, and I wanted to prove them wrong, but they were being proven right. So basically I was about to quit YouTube. And when I say I was about to quit, I mean I was about to go to sleep (it was 11 PM and I had work the next morning, oh and keep in mind this was very recently, like within the last week or 2, for some reason my time keeping is waaay off) and wake up the next day and make a video saying I was quitting, and then I was going to stop uploading things publicly. I was still going to keep the account, but I was only going to use it for saving videos of my and my friends having fun.

But then, just as I am looking at my subscriber count, and thinking how I had failed, and wondering why I had stuck it out for 4 years with practically no progress, I had only lost money at this point, I was regretting not quitting YouTube years ago when they had told me to. Just as I was about to turn my phone off and go to sleep. I get a notification on my phone from YouTube. And the notification read:

“thanks I love u vids my man and this is you”

And as I always do when I get a comment, I go to see what the full comment says and what video it was posted under. I’m not going to lie. I didn’t smile, at all, until I read the rest of the amazing message that is now the background on my phone (lock screen is my pup). The full message read:

“thanks I love u vids my man and this is you

(crown emoji)

(cool face emoji)

(white t-shirt emoji)

(blue pants emoji)

(yellow shoes emoji) (brown dog emoji)”

This message made my month! I look at it every single day! Every time I feel like quitting YouTube and every time I wonder why I do YouTube, I look at this comment which reminds me that I don’t do this for my ego, I do this to provide entertainment to other people around the world. And every time I look at this comment I’m always thinking “Wow, this person is truelly a fan, not because they added a crown, but not only did they take the time to find the emojis and create the person, but they added the dog emoji which means they are true fans because only true fans who have been watching for awhile know how important Waffle (my puppy) is to me. And the fact that they had the thought to add a dog emoji to represent Waffle is mind blowing”

So major shout out to you my friend. I’m not going to put your name out there because I don’t know if you want me to but thank you for the amazing comment, I seriously look at it every single day and yeah, it gives my ego a boost to think that I have a fan that goes to that trouble to make an emoji person with a dog, but also, it helps me get through depression bubbles. It gives me motivation to keep going and try and make better content and more content. So to you my friend. I thank you. I can not thank you enough. I don’t see you comment often so I first thought you were a new sub, but after the dog emoji I know you’ve been around for awhile. Thank you. Sorry for rambling.

Mafia stuff (both Matsu, real life, and GTA stuff) kept popping up on Tumblr and it rekindled a conversation @siro-cyl , @meggo-b , and I had two years ago, back when we were heavily into GTA 5 and commented how Michael De Santa would totally throw a party where everyone had to come as mobsters with his love of old black and white mobster movies.

So, enter the Herzlos Crime family: the Godmudda (me), Meggie tha Mouth (Meggo-b), and Shepherd (siro-cyl) who were created from our GTA Online characters who are essentially us running around throwing sticky bombs at each other while laughing like idiots. Then siro-cyl brings out the tank and everyone dies. I wish we recorded some of the shit we did.

I blame @jazzymongoose for this and I can’t even be mad B| I guess one fandom merging into another is happening XD This would be a crime family the Matsunos would butt heads with.

The Unholy Trinity.

The Godmudda (No, I don’t mean Godmother and yes, that’s how it’s said, it’s how Shepherd and Meggie say it, yes you have to say it that way too) – The tall, dark silent type. While she can speak, she chooses not to but according to Meggie tha Mouth and Shepherd, if she has to, it will be the last thing you will ever hear. She seems to share a mental bond with her two associates as they seem to know exactly what she’s thinking or saying without saying anything at all. She uses motions with her underlings or lets Meggie and Shepherd deliver orders. Her expressions are usually very relaxed and subtle but she can get some extremely scary ones from time to time. She carries an umbrella or a cane wherever she goes that harbors a blade within the item which she is skilled with. Also on her person are two pistols.

Meggie tha Mouth – Bold, brash, belongs in the trash. The Godmudda’s Bodyguard despite being a foot shorter than her and everyone else. She is very loud and is willing to fight anyone and everything. She is the voice of the Godmudda. Subtly is not her thing and she will make her own spy music when on what is supposed to be stealth missions. She is prone to fits of rage and will fight someone over compliments. (I.E. Presto from Animaniacs and Tommy Devito (Joe Pesci) from Goodfellas). She puts googly eyes and glitter on everything, including corpses. Her signature weapon is a lead pipe named ‘old Rusty’. She believes bigger is better when it comes to weaponry and she relies on sticky bombs and anything that explodes. “Go big or go home.”

Shepherd – The Intel and negotiator. Voice-wise, they are normal volume. They are a ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’, Master of Disguise type, able to get anything that the Godmudda needs, including gathering information on rival families by infiltrating them. Shepherd is the driver of the Godmudda’s car as Meggie has lost driving privilege after one too many road rage incidents where she has rolled the car trying to a parking place at the Olive Garden. Shepherd never takes off their gloves in order to keep their fingerprints off weapons and other things. Meggie has also been known to hand them gross items before. Signature melee weapon is a crowbar. Shepherd is an excellent sniper and relies more on long distant attacks. Every time Meggie busts someone’s kneecaps, she goes out and buys Shepherd a sheepie plushie for whatever reason.

Meggie is usually the one to take care of beatings and such while Shepherd takes care of quick kills or meticulous tortures to get info.

When Meggie goes on a tangent and can’t be calmed down, the Godmudda just touches her shoulder and she quiets down immediately.

The Godmudda will make various noises in reaction to something outrageous or hum to herself but she rarely speaks. This was a play on how the online character is completely silent in GTA Online and unresponsive to shit that was happening, including being dragged around by psycho murderer Trevor Philips in a couple missions.

Shepherd’s hobby is photography.
