Hats! Here are 27 hats I have made, from approximately oldest to approximately newest. I can crank out a hat in two-ish days and a baby hat in one. They're my favorite thing to gift cuz who doesn't love a handmade hat?

In Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers, Gladwell says that expertise is achieved when one practices a particular skill for approximately 10,000 hours. I have no idea how many hours I have spent knitting over the past seven years, but I love that each time I pick up the yarn and needles, I am building my skill level. I can combine 3 different prompts for this one ( Color Work, Hats, AND Puffy!) This is my modified Classic Octopus Hat that I made in January of last year. It was my first attempt at a colorwork hat and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Day 4 of the @yarnlovechallenge is ‘Generations’ - I am at least the 3rd generation of knitter and crocheter 🧶 in my family and my little dog 🐶 Tink loves to curl up in the fruits of my labour. I personally prefer to crochet but my mum used to knit and still does time to time. I am knitter born in Bolivia and living in Switzerland with my beloved Adri and Max, my hubby and my furry baby 😺 . I have two brothers and one sister. One adorable niece and one sweet nephew. I am a proud auntie ❤️ I usually go once a year back to Bolivia to visit my mom and the rest of the family . Besides being a crazy knitter, I am also an independent dyer and I spin yarn. I love everything related to sheep, and fiber. When I grew up, I would like to have at least four sheepy friends, so I can process their fleece 😁 . When I am not knitting I am learning a new language or a new skill. Since a year or so, I also volunteer in a project to preserve the forest here in Switzerland. I used to be a volunteer firefighter but due to sickness I had to retire . I love animals and nature. I am compassionate, emphatic and spiritual. I believe in infinite love and light. I thrive for equality, justice and inclusion in everything I do and where ever I go . I decided to participate in the challenge because I want to share with you my doings and more of myself. Day Eleven: Pack

Believe it or not, this is the entirety of my tool kit. A sewing kit, scissors, darning needles, tape measure, stitch holder, stitch counter, needle protectors, cable needle, and two types of stitch markers. I keep them in a little bag that hops from project bag to project bag.

ATM I want to finish and start way to many project as I have way to many ideas. This is one of the shawls I want to finish, a nice hands-on, an easy knit and an construction I like to wear, but not enough time in the day.

My mom, Jane, learned to knit in 1930. I became serious about hand knitting in the mid-1990s.
