That monkey was written in such a way that evn if u leaned to heavily in one aspect it makes the whole vers of swk be unstable. Or makes a vers of him suck(ahem looking at you lmk)
Which why i hardly ever read much fanfics of swk n jttw things (not that there aren’t good ones but the majority of the sun wukong tag on ao3 are mainly filled with lmk vers and sh*dowpe*ch which lean into this issue im having:/) bc i feel like they lean too heavily on lmk/OSP iterations and at worse: write swk as if he was a more flanderized goku.
Like yes he loves to fight, yes he is murderous but thats not all of him. He is a scholar, he likes to be grandparenting to over 87000 monkeys.
Yes hes not incompetent at his job as a monkey king. You dont have to bring his intelligence down so you can uplift other characters (like making LEMH a advisor to swk n makes him be the one whos more a king than swk. Seriously the issues is more so about not letting swk be his own character is becoming more prevalent in fandom spaces)
Also-the arthur waley names just squick me out . Those names rlly do not fit the pilgrims as much ppl think they do.
The other gripes im having is the usage of the yandere trope for sun wukong. I cant explain how much i detest it being used for him n issues that it has.(it just makes him revert back into his proto vers n majes him be horne

Time for feels with Proto Arthur.
Arthur doesn't think badly about any of his knights. In fact, he feels like he was the one who failed them. If he had been a slightly better king, Camelot wouldn't have fallen. He doesn't blame any of them for what happened, except perhaps with the exception of his Mordred -- unlike regular Mordred, Proto Mordred was a yandere, someone who thoughts along the lines "If I kill everyone else, Father won't have any choice but love me and me alone".
Lancelot and Guinevere ? Yes, he wasn't a good husband to his wife, and failed as a knight who have swore to his chosen dame. He also failed to see that his closest friend was suffering and was carrying something so heavy.
Gawain ? The young man always admired his uncle, but circumstances dictated differently, Arthur would never hold it against him. Tristan ? Tristan had literally no horse in this race and Arthur doesn't fault the guy to stay true to himself. The king also feels bad for not being able to spare Gareth or any of the others tangentially related, but it comes to the territory of being a knight.
The tl;dr is that Arthur blames himself for the fall of Camelot. And, ofc, Mordred's betrayal is also to blame.

- Is your typical prince charming, goody two shoes, actual knight in shinning armour, and ‘nice guy’ but he takes it to the next level.
- It’s relaxing because around you he can just be himself and doesn’t have to worry about being the perfect leader.
- Before his death nearing his reign as king he had to build up a wall around his emotions that it caused him to be social isolated nearing the final battle. So he’s learning to open up.
- Like his female counterpart he married Guinevere out of convenience store but has less regrets about his life. Won’t admit it but he was and still is jealous of Lancelot.
- Still cliche as it sounds you're his first true love.
- This fool might be hot but he’s a literal furnace at night. Dude is a dragon in human form.
- Obviously like all Artoria’s he’s a big eater.
- Enjoys whatever you make as long as it isn't burn’t, on the plus side also doubles as a good cook.
- However, if there's a holy grail war going on his overprotectiveness is cranked up to the max.
- At first he has a ridged unchanging view of justice but along the way his morals become skewed that everything’s okay as long as your safe.
- Will easily proclaim his feelings of wanting to marry you. Looks good in a suit btw.
- Use up all your command seals and he’ll still be loyal to you but things will be safer if you do it his way.
- You can try and runaway but your an ordinary mage while he’s a powerful servant that can easily pin you down.
- Will leave a group of people to die in a burning building if your on the verge of death. Your significance to him now outweighs the lives of manny.
- In the Arthurian Legends some of the knights of the roundtable failed to get the holy grail but because he’s the rightful King of Britain it would be easy for him to use it.
- If he gots his hands on it he would make a wish so you can’t leave him. A king’s righteous fury knows no bounds.
- Kinda a walking himbo and dumb blonde but you gotta love him cause Arthur’s cute in his own fairytale-esque way.

FGO Part 2 Opening 2 Theories (1/2)
(SPOILER WARNING!!)
I’ve seen the new opening and I’m full of emotions right now and so many ideas and theories! We’re going to Fairyland, baby!
First things first, I personally don’t think LB6 will be related to Fate/Prototype. IMO, Arthur's subplot would be better suited for a proper Prototype event.
Gameplay-wise, it would also make more sense to have a Prototype collab to allow DW to release Proto Gilgamesh and Proto Perseus who've datamined for years now.
Story-wise, LB6 is already crowded with characters and plot points, so shoehorning Arthur and Beast VI in there would make things unnecessarily complicated.
Another thing is that so far, there haven’t really been any hints that there were Prototype elements in LB6. The closest thing was the scary princess mentioned by Beryl but other than her having a yandere attitude (which is hardly exclusive to Manaka), she’s got nothing in common with Manaka. The biggest problem with this theory is that the princess being obsessed with Beryl doesn’t fit Manaka’s personality, because we all know that Manaka wouldn’t bat an eye at anyone who isn’t Arthur (unless she can manipulate them and ruin their lives), much less show that kind of affection. So, unless Beryl was lying or there’s some external force controlling Manaka’s personality, that alone makes me think that it’s not her.
I think LB6 will be more related to Artoria’s Camelot, together with some Celtic myths due to the presence of Caster Cu.

Proto-Merlin, I really doubt since she share the same belief and mentality as this dick wizard Merlin. However, there's a fan creation and some stories of Merlin own legend of lunancy does give him possibility to be in Berserker class
Nero which this version we meet is the one who is her Rider form and connects heavily to Mother Harlot.......
Morgan, high chance may be her but I feel she's more of the Lostbelt Queen if we want to go by alternate history. Where she rule the Camelot instead of Artoria or Arthur
Or we got back Manaka who's twice the Yandere and Insanity wanting Arthur back in her life. But either somehow hijacking a Servant to resume summoning Beast VII to complete it.
Or actually also none of the above because with Orion being Grand Archer as the reveal, I've got no clue who Nasu will put as the crazy princess
However I'm not surprised her craziness does eventually called another Grand Servant because that EX ranking is a red flag to call another Beast Class enemy for chaos
And frankly, no information is given also on whatever the fuck is happening on Beryl's Lostbelt. Verged on destruction and somehow able to trick that insane princess to attack the Lostbelt tree.... Brings to the next question if she's also the Lostbelt Queen ruining her own home....
For Beryl with them... I find it hard for him to have something with any of them. Given his own distaste to women, like Mash and Ophelia but seemingly no comment to Hinako.... Then again, not surprise if he seduce them to ruin their own Lostbelt for shits

I’m really sorry. I’m not the wisest source of information about the prototype fate franchise and I didn’t know that Arthur’s Mordred was yandere. I expect the arrogant but quite calmer Mordred would be rather surprising.
You’ll have to forgive me. I’m still learning in this fandom. It’s one reason I really love when people give me more source material to delve into on my own. I learned a great deal about Gilgamesh over the weekend by replaying CCC and reading some lore stuff.

If there one thing Gilgamesh and Arthur can agree on despite their differences, it would be yanderes. They, along with their significant others Hakuno and Proto Merlin, would seriously bond with one another so well in regards to their abhorrent admirers.
Very much so. I see them all bonding over this. As well as honestly getting along because that they all know what it’s like to be stalked, and therefore they’d all be able to trust the other not to act like this.
And while Gil and Arthur will have a lot of differences, Arthur’s issues are different than Artorias, and there’s not the issue of “You’re a mess, let’s date”.

But is Proto Mordred male or female still?
As of now? There’s no direct confirmation of that. All we know is that Proto Mordred differs from Artoria’s Mordred in that, whereas the Mordred we know was more of a rebellious teen, Proto Mordred was a yandere for Arthur.
That being said, right now, there’s a bit more evidence to Mordred being female in Proto regardless – slight, but present. Namely, Arthur doesn’t initially recognize Artoria as his alternate self, he initially confuses her for Merlin based on her voice and appearance. Mordred and all others, however, he recognizes on sight, to the point where even though he consciously knows she’s not his child, he still seeks to connect with her. This gives me credence to believe that Mordred’s a dead-ringer for his own, the difference being in personality.
I know there are those who will counter that Morgan enchanted Mordred while developing in her womb to be a homunculus clone of Artoria, which at a glance would presume they have to be same gender– but Artoria could only have provided XX chromosomes in the first place. Arthur as a natural male could give either.
So, until anything develops and is presented to the contrary, that’s what I’m going with for this blog!

Proto Mordred and regular timeline Mordred got vastly different origins. In a very tl;dr description both were conceived when Morgan disguised herself as Guinevere and had a relationship with Arthur.
Merlin had prophesied that a child born in May Day would be the end of Arthur's rule and it was decreed that all babies, from nobles to peasants, would be executed. As no good subject should have such horrendous sin in their hands, the children would be placed into boats and left in the water. As fate would have it, Mordred was found by a good man and raised as his own son until the young boy was 14 and taken to the court.
They describe Proto Mordred as pretty much being a yandere-type of character, willing to kill everything that Arthur loved until there was only the two of them left.
The wiki says that Proto Mordred is a homunculus or half-homunculus, but given the original story and how it went I think it is unlikely. Unless Morgan had other ways to collect the material, there was no need to make Proto Mordred a homunculus except to speed up the process.
A difference is that in the regular Fate timeline Merlin used a magic spell to have Artoria's body to be changed to a male for a brief moment so it would be possible to conceive an heir with Guinevere. Except it wasn't Guinevere, it was Morgan. Because of the nature of the artificial body, Mordred is a half-homunculus and because of that they aged up much faster. If I recall correctly, Mordred was something like 7-10 years old when they reached adulthood.
This also reflects on how Mordred went about: they wanted to make their father proud, the acceptance despite their twisted birth.
Artoria didn't recognize Mordred out of any ill feelings, but because the burden of being a king is a cruel one and Mordred simply wasn't equipped emotionally and maturity wise. Meanwhile, Proto Mordred wasn't accepted by Arthur because of...Well, to kill everyone until there's no-one else left isn't exactly a positive way to go about it.
In Fate Materials V it is stated that Arthur makes a point in greeting Mordred, and the interlude pretty much indicates that the only two Knights that he makes a point in interacting with are Bedivere and Mordred.

I haven’t read prototype but is Proto Mordred the same as regular Modred in regards to their relationship with Arthur??
There really isn’t a lot of information on ProtoMordred. At least from what I saw when I was collecting information. There were some ‘yandere’ talk, but I couldn’t find anything that backed that up. Maybe the new disk that came up will change that, but who knows.
So...Proto Mordred, at least in my version, was born to Morgan Le Fay, but not completely as a weapon to kill him, but more as a ‘secondary weapon’ against what was coming.
Mordred was raised on stories of how awesome his father was, and desperately wanted to be acknowledged by him, however, once he joined the knights, going ‘hey dad, your sister might have done something to steal your blood, and make a baby, and I’m the result!’ wasn’t exactly an easy thing to do. There was also the issue of the May Day Massacre, and Mordred knew that...someone...wanted him dead.
He revealed the affair between Lance and Gwen, as well as much of the conspiracy, not to usurp Arthur, but to show his loyalty to his father.
Going from some of the very early myths (later ones mostly used Mordred as evil because ‘bastards are bad’ and I’m going to claim there were attempts to make Lance look better) Mordred fought alongside Arthur at Camlann.

Is Mordred still a female in the Prototype verse?
The answer to that is a resounding, firm “I ‘unno, maybe”.
See, the passage of Fragments that recalls the final battle between Mordred and Arthur uses no such indicator of that. Now, I hear you saying “but Prototype is genderswap” it really isn’t. It’s basically just Arthur and Merlin that applies to at all, and even then the latter is purely the result of a voice acting gag becoming ascended meta.
That being said, when Mordred was conceived, it was during a time Merlin had turned Artoria male in the original continuity in order to keep up appearances, and despite being a homunculus clone of the then-male Artoria, Mordred came out a girl.
Sooo, until we see a Protoverse Mordred (hint: we’re not gonna) by this logic, I’m setting that Arthur’s Mordred was very much the same…just, you know, a lot more yandere than main timeline Mordred.
TL;DR, for the purpose of this blog, Proto Mordred is to F/SN Mordred as Proto Gil is to F/SN Gil. Physically the same, differing in some characteristics.
