Aww there is this reference of MK in the final chapter of Yaiba.
"Nakamori and Kuroba are a couple" Kaiao has been canon a long time ago, guys. Cute!! (I saw some post said that Shinichi is like the only one out of the Gosho boys who has an official girlfriend and then I suddenly remembered this 😆) The fact that Gosho early have a idea for the end of the MK manga but don't have time to draw it 🤧🤧.
(I know this is Alternative world having magic and stuff but still haha. I think it's funny that MK is like the middle child who like have traits from both of their older and younger siblings lmao) Magic and science.
Conan Edogawa and Ran Mouri cameo in the last anime episode of Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba, two years before Detective Conan Anime premiered in 1996.
--------
Before Detective Conan had its very own anime series in 1996, they were already having their own cameo in the last anime episode of Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba in 1994, where Musashi Miyamoto and Sayaka's Grandmother are bickering over the remote control.
That means they had been appearing in animated version two years before their actual debut on their own anime.
As you can see, the appearances of our two protagonists are different because it was still using their 'prototype' or original design that was featured in the earlier chapters of the manga, with Conan's tuft and Ran's curl drawn differently than in their anime debut. It also features the Volume 2 color palette of Conan's now iconic outfit.
And this is the only physical fight scene, Rom and Crow not withstanding. Also the only time in any musical as far as this and the Fes 2017(and Bloody Labyrinth now that I've seen it) are concerned where the instruments are used as actual weapons.
Celestial Spectrum A Plot: "Trouble is brewing somewhere whacky and wonderful and this might help one of our titular main characters become more mature."
since i'm quite fond of my hcs where Kaito had serious anger issues when his dad died along with growing up to be a terrifying fighter from gang fights, i thought of how when his mom and Nakamori stepped in to help him
i thought this could be a good oppurtunity to reference the Kurogane family from YAIBA for a bit since they're in the DCMK canon too. maybe Chikage is friends with Michiko and asked her to teach Kaito to temper his rage and grief into something less self-destructive. that could lead the Kurogane couple to teach him meditation and the basics of kendo alongside their children
but then while i was watching tsurune, i remembered kyudo. since kyudo is known as moving meditation, i thought it would suit Kaito better to reflect and temper his anger. More so since kyudo is more focused on one's self instead of defeating an opponent
So since YAIBA emphasised on being a modern samurai, i thought the Kurogane family would lean more on teaching all aspects of the samurai art which includes kyudo. In fact, back then before the katana came to be, the samurai were more famous for their archery
plus, Kaito would look amazingly handsome in a kyudo dōgi. especially whenever he has to bare a shoulder to take a shot (that's usually in private and shinichi is always in a daze by such an appearance especially the majestic way Kaito shoots 🤩🔥😏)
while i still want him to be in the basketball club when he was in middle school, i also want him to be involved in kyudo somehow and what better way to do that than have him connected to the Kurogane family?
anyways, i just want Kaito to learn to be in control of his anger and grief. preferably from both therapy and kyudo
Least favorite case: Onimaru's Killing Technique "Tornado Cut" or Invaders from the Moon

Hmm, the plot development in this volume is very interesting, but I don't really know where the cliffhanger at the end is going in the next volume. I'm not quite sure if it's one of my favourite volumes. It's still very enjoyable to read. There are cute moments between Yaiba and Sayaka and I think we've got some character development of Yaiba.
Instead of an omake this time we have the 'Yaiba v Kaito' extra chapter!! I've seen the animated version of this but the manga naturally has nothing of the Conan stuff... 😅
