Here's a sketch sheet I haven't shared here yet.

Concept sketches for a set of characters known as the "Tenki no Yousei" (天気の妖精). They're for an anime-inspired story I wanted to make called "Yume Shounen". I want the series to be drawn in a 90s anime art style and have a bright and vibrant palette. (I've tried drawing anime before, and I always end up reverting back to my Western cartoon style; hopefully someday I can actually set myself to draw the "Yume Shounen" cast in the anime style I envision them in)

From top/left to bottom/right:

Amemiya Haru (春雨宮; Haru Amemiya): Amemiya's name contains the kanji for "rain", and his surname means "spring".

Taiyouchou Natsu (夏太陽蝶; Natsu Taiyouchou): Taiyouchou's name contains the kanji for "sun" and his surname means "summer".

Kazamidori Aki (秋風見鶏; Aki Kazamidori): Kazamidori's name contains the kanji for "wind", and her surname means "fall/autumn".

Yukihiko Fuyu (冬雪彦; Fuyu Yukihiko): Yukihiko's name contains the kanji for "snow", and his surname means "winter".

Also, without looking in the tags, see if you can guess who I based the "Tenki no Yousei" on.

“You’re staring again,” The low voice accuses from underneath the car. You watch his hand pat the concrete, searching for his toolbox, before quickly grabbing the wrench. His hands are black with dirt and oil, probably calloused from the heavy work.

“Am I not allowed to?” You hum, sitting on your garage cabinet while sipping on some water.

You watch Eijiro put a screwdriver in his mouth, now using both hands to tighten a bolt. Sweat drips down his temples and onto the floor beneath him. You sigh at the sight.

“It’s distracting” He mumbles around the tool, trying to stay focused on the task at hand.

Kirishimas sanctuary was his garage. He spent a good proportion of the house budget on simply making this area perfect for him. It has everything a guy like him needs, and tons of room for him to work on his hobby. Fixing cars.

Your hobby conveniently lines up perfectly with his. Watching hot men do manual labor, specifically watching your lover fix cars. So you also spend a great amount of time here.

He was currently under one, but the older truck is being suspended into the air (to your request) so you get a perfect view of him underneath the car dealing with all the technical stuff you cannot understand. You sit there and watch, not giving a damn about the broken car.

He lets out a groan as he tries to secure a pipe into place. You watch his biceps contract and his eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

“You know, it's got to be hot under there. Don't you think you'll be more comfortable if you take off your shirt?” You tease, crossing your legs with a grin on your face.

Though, the black wife beater he was wearing was already making you swoon. And the way it was stuck to his skin? You had to be in heaven.

He glances back at you, taking the screwdriver out of his mouth, before using his arm to wipe some sweat off his face. Black streaks coat his cheeks. “You are looking at me like you are a starved animal,” He laughs, before using his moveable stool to kick back away from under the car toward where you're sitting.

He climbs off the stool, and over to you, while you swing your legs out lazily. He places his hands on the counter on either side of you, trapping you in his hold. You meet his stare, the corner of your mouth picking up in a smile. He is grinning at you, eyes tired from the work, but still pinning you in place.

“Thirsty?” You hum, holding up your cup to his mouth.

His eyes flicker toward the glass and he nods. You tilt the glass upward, watching the way his throat moves as he swallows it down.

When he looks back at you as to say, enough you just continue pouring. The water drips down his face and onto his shirt. He pulls away with a small cough.

Your eyes widen at the sight in front of you. His shirt clinging now completely to his skin, his body glistening from sweat and now the water. This right here is why this is your favorite hobby.

“Really?” He sighs with a small grin, looking down at the black tank top.

You pout dramatically. “Aw, guess you gotta take your shirt off,” You tease, running your fingers up his shirt toward his neck.

He chuckles low, before blinking slowly at you, leaning forward, and brushing his lips against yours. “Mmm? Can you take it off for me?”

You grin, fingers running up his arm. “Gladly.”

The day ends up like it usually does. With both of you covered in sweat, dirt, and car oil, but you didn’t mind, this is exactly why this is your favorite hobby.

e uma vez que vc pergunte pra ele "felipe, eu ou river?" ele provavelmente vai falar igual o chaves "ah mas essa é muito fácil, faz uma mais difícil!😆" te enrolando porque prefere pular de um avião sem paraquedas do que escolher entre os dois grandes amores

Hey y’all! I got some comments on my “what to make next” post, and it got me thinking. Do you want me to make a post explaining some of how I do pattern designing for sewing? And if so, do you want me to use the round elephant pattern as the example, or should I make a new pattern so I can show you from start to finish how it goes?

#I think I might've posted a little about it before but not much #because I had been feeling a little imposter-sydrome-y #but like after a certain point of plushifying art and making designs exactly the way I imagined them #(if maybe grumpier looking than intended lol)#I am no longer feeling imposterish #my techniques are not the most technologically savvy and if you have more computer art experience than I do #there is almost certainly an easier way to make a digital version of the patterns #but my way only requires three things: paper a pen (preferably a brush-tipped marker) and something to measure 1/4 inch with #also scissors for cutting out pattern pieces #like there are several extras that I use now and again when pattern designing to make doing certain parts easier but it's like #a pipe cleaner. some yarn. I do have a compass but it's super terrible and I think I've had it since I was like five #wait is it a compass? the angle measuring thing #I don't actually use it I just eyeball the angles tbh

back at the eye doctors 😭😭 I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE

#I have feel like I have so many things I need to get done like Right Now #and this is just a pain in the ass #I thought it would be so straightforward to get glasses and be able to see #the glasses I had weren't even that bad. if I knew it was gonna be like this I wouldn't have got new glasses #I need a vet appointment for my cat. I need to order some books. I need to start cleaning to pack #I need to find a new apartment. I need to let work know when my last day is going to be #I need to figure out all my plans with friends and family over the next two months #I need to study fish and aquatic sampling techniques #I need to refill my BC and I keep waiting for them to say I can't refill because I need a pap smear (barf)#I need to cancel my Y membership. I have cosplays I need to work on and a bunch of books I need to read #and on top of all that I have work stuff #life never stops does it. I had all these ideas about relaxing a little before I started grad school #but I think that was a pipe dream

This large-eyed fellow is the Buddy for November 20th. It's not a gimmicky Buddy like many of the others, but I quite like it. One thing about him I quite enjoy is the Y-shaped piping on his t-shirt. You can tell a lot of future-forward characters wear something like that. For instance the Vault Boy from Fallout (not called Fall Out Boy like many people think). And Ben 10. Also, the a - uh, I mean, the weird kids from the Darwyn Cooke and Gilbert Hernandez book The Twilight Children.

So today's Buddy's in good company - if by good I mean stuff I don't really enjoy, but have to admit have interesting designs.

Speaking of stuff I don't enjoy, it's weird that people keep saying Netflix knows people's likes and dislikes better than they know themselves. Because these last few weeks, I've been logging into it to watch Pluto, and Netflix keeps pushing stuff I seriously hate. So if feels less like a corporation knowing what I want, and more like it telling me what I want.
