I stopped cheering/singing along at concerts because industry in Asia isn’t supposed to react at shows, other than polite applause. So, I more or less had any fannish tendencies trained out of me because of my work experience. Later on, I had a falling out with this person (don’t ask me for details about this please), which soured me even more on the idea of ever being a fan for any musician again in my life.

So for most of my adult life, I refused to participate in any community that involved a real person, and focused entirely on anime or video games, since that was pixelated characters. 

One of my best friends told me I needed to check out CQL as she was watching it, so I watched it for her and fell head over heels in love with the story and the characters.
