Je reviens à mon projet de présenter la plupart de mes 55000 photos (nouveau compte approximatif. On se rapproche du présent !).

2015. Douai, les répètes de l’Atelier du Tigre reprennent à l’Hôpital Militaire. On répète “Le Théâtre Ambulant Chopalovitch”.

Puis un traditionnel pique-nique dans la cour. On y voit un xylocope bleu-noir.

Xylocope - Il utilise ses mandibules pour creuser des galeries dans le bois mort pour y pondre ses œufs. Son nom signifie littéralement "coupeur de bois". Il peut faire son nid dans de vieilles charpentes en bois mal entretenues d'où son surnom d'abeille charpentière.

NE LA TUEZ PAS il s’agit bien d’une abeille qui est présente en ce moment dans les jardins. Elle s'appelle l'abeille Xylocope. C'est la plus grosse abeille d'Europe 2.5 à 3 cm. Elle ne pique pas si on ne la chasse pas bien-sûr. Le Xylocope est une abeille dite "solitaire". Mais elle peut vivre en colonies, c'est à dire côte à côte. Noire avec des ailes bleutées elle est très belle mais peut faire peur, son vol est rapide et très bruyant, mais elle n'est pas agressive et pique rarement. Elle est à protéger parce que rare et très utile certaines personnes la confondant avec le frelon asiatique !!!

It doesn't bite if you don't chase it of course. The Xylocope is a so-called "solitary" bee. But it can live in colonies, that is to say side by side. Black with bluish wings it is very beautiful but can be scary, its flight is fast and very noisy, but it is not aggressive and rarely stings. It is to be protected because rare and very useful, some people confuse it with the Asian hornet
