It's funny how the years can pass by so fast. Even if it was way too fast for Chiisai, she thinks with a faint smile back to the previous decade. Her so called brothers Lee, Raphie, Don and Mike were all grown up, heading out into the wide world to find their own way. The goodbyes were for them difficult and quite emotional but it was a part of life. And she knows that.

But it was a big change for her to experience the apartment more quiet and emptier than usual. The next months merciless past over quickly too. But her mind couldn't find peace with all of it after all these days. Sure, they stay in contact, writing some texts and sending pictures here and then but it was not the same as coming together and talk about it in person. The nights on the rooftop felt wrong without Lee rambling about his interests or the shouts of a provoked Raphie who just wanted some peace for once. No Don who needed a few moments to feel at ease in such height or a Mike who tried new stunts and scare the hell out of her with almost falling from the rooftop.

Absently Chiisai stared up to the stars and the bright full moon. She didn't realized her tears until they hit the back of her hand. "I almost forgot how it feels to be truly alone..." When was the last time she felt like that? She knew it all too well: It was on the fateful day she got stranded in this universe. She still wondered how her old family was. Did time passed by like here or did it went slower or even (she hoped not) faster? The turtle didn't count on she would ever be able to find that out. Her hand almost searched mechanically in her jacket pocket something specific: An old photo. The old photo with Chiisai and her two siblings. Like the last days she just focus on this and talk to herself. This night the words wouldn't come out.

With a sigh she stood up and climbed down through her window in her apartment. Just as her feet touched the floor a bright light in the absolute darkness blinded her. Annoyed she hold her hand in front of her eyes, which idiot thinks it would be a bright idea to flash her with a li- A familiar blue swirling, quietly buzzing and forming a circle. Her head screamed one word: Portal. Her eyes welled up again with tears as she run towards it. With a last movement before she went through Chiisai untied her mask, clenching the fabric hard in her fist.

She blinked several times because of the even brighter light before the pancake turtle recognize her surroundings. And the familiar faces she longed for since she lost them a decade ago. Just as before she got almost tackled and tight hugged from her sister Chiisai thought one thing: I'm finally back home again.

This would be the end in the timeline. Good-bye I now proceed to listen to Hearing...again and lay down for it on the ground Mentioned AU Universe boys belong to @xxlea-nardoxx

Is it just me, or do we just don't talk enough about the Turtles and the crimes they commit and how they are actually okay with committing them?

I especially think about stealing and thievery. I know that these things are not okay, but if you're in the position of the Turtles, stealing truly is your only way to get your hands on literally anything. So, even if they're not necessarily proud of it, they steal things in order to survive.

I think one of the things I liked about Mutant Mayhem, is the fact that we literally saw the Turtles break into a grocery store. It's the first time I actually saw them do that. Normally things like that are not really shown in Tmnt, so it made it all the more interesting to me.

I personally feel like we shouldn't pretend that the Turtles would never ever steal. It doesn't even matter how we interpret it. Even if they just take things from junkyards. I personally really like this part of Tmnt. It shows the lenghts the Turtles have to go just to survive.

Seeing me spill my thoughts and talk about Tmnt 2012, you might know that there's a certain little robot that I love very much.

Yes, I'm talking about Metalhead.

I've always been very fond of this little guy, and perhaps that's why it makes me sad, that I barely see anyone talk about him or his relationship with Donnie and how it actually shifted.

When Donnie first built Metalhead in season 1 episode 6, he did so to use him as a weapon.

That episode was all about Donnie feeling useless because he "only" wields a bo staff, while his brothers have katanas, sais and nunchuks to fight with. He built Metalhead as a weapon to help them fight, especially in moments when it would be too dangerous for them to go out onto the battlefield. At that point, Metalhead was nothing more than just another invention, a drone as Donnie called him (at least that's what he said in the German dub when I watched it two days ago, shshsjsh).

And at the end of the episode, when Metalhead went rogue under the Kraangs control and Donnie had to take him out, did he feel down because his invention failed.

He was sad, because the machine he built did not live up to his expectations. Metalhead was nothing more than just a invention. We only saw him sprinkled into the background for a few episodes and the only truly more remarkable appearance was in the season 1 finale, but it again wasn't a whole lot.

But then it got interesting.

Because starting with season 2, it was revealed in "Metalhead rewired", that Donnie put an AI (artificial intelligence) into Metalhead and it actually shows.

It might've only been revealed in episode 11, but back in episode 4 "Mutagen Man unleashed", Metalhead has been put into the background doing various tasks such as moving stuff/cleaning up:

And actually talking to Donnie, to which his creator is actually responding.

"Yup, it's a mess, Metalhead."

It wasn't yet revealed, but it's obvious Metalhead wasn't as mindless anymore than he was back in season 1. Remember: back then, Donnie was still controlling him via game controller like some RC car.

Now Metalhead is thinking for himself, talking to his creator, reacting to the outside world and feeling more alive than he's ever been. He turned his head, when Leo, Raph and Mikey came in. He noticed the lab was a mess and let Donnie know, just like a human child would.

And it's obvious Donnies view about Metalhead has changed too. If before he only saw him as a weapon or drone, he now thinks of him as another team member, or even his son.

In "Metalhead rewired" he didn't wanna believe Metalhead could be evil or possibly working for the Kraang. And he didn't think that way, because the "weapon" could be stolen and turned against them, but because he actually loved Metalhead the way one would love their sibling or child. He's actually grown to love him.

When Metalhead got electrocuted by hacking himself into that Kraangs wending-machine, Donnie was shown patting the robots head and calling him "buddy", something he wouldn't have done in season one ever.

That only makes the plot of "Metalhead rewired" more heartbreaking.

Metalhead had grown to Donnie and now he had to let him go. His little robot creation wasn't going to make it out. He had to leave him behind in that Kraang facility, there was nothing he could do.

No matter how painful it was for Donnie, he had to leave without Metalhead. And it did not help, that the only part making it out alive was his head.

He's absolutely heartbroken about his loss, cradling the remaining part in his hands.

The fact that you can actually see Donnies sadness about losing his friend, hits harder than any of Raphs punches ever could.

Donnie was actively griefing about Metalhead. In a way we do when losing a beloved person, because that's what happened. He practically lost a son, a brother, a friend. Metalhead grew to be so much more than just a lifeless robot. He grew a personality and built a relationship with Donnie.

Donnies relationship with Metalhead switched from creator and creation to father and son, brother and brother or friend and friend, depending on how you like to picture them.

I think that is why I love these two so much. And I also believe people seem to overlook this change of heart between them. Donnie and Metalhead had a special bond, that has been broken, at least physically, but I know that our favorite genius will never forget his robotic child. Ever.

Updated info sheets for the canon turtles + AU kids

After working on this for a while, I finished the info sheets with updated (re)designs for the canon and au turtles.

At the beginning of the AU the canon turtles are about 16, Lee and Raphie 15 and Mike and Don 14 years old, but so far it goes that they have celebrated their birthdays overtime, so I added the updated ages as well.

Coming from a different world and going to school with humans and anthros alike, the AU kids were quite surprised coming face to face with dimensional counterparts, who are trained in the art of the ninja and have to hide away in the shadows in fear of being seen. Despite the beginning struggles, the kids have made the counterparts their friends and even when they managed to get back home into their own world, did they not stop visiting their new brothers, excited to spend time with them whenever they can, even if there may be some language and time-barriers. Turns out time-zones still exist, even when you're from a different world.

In my personal opinion, the fact that Tmnt 2012 was 3D animated, made it all the more enjoyable and memorable.

I know that there's people who would've prefered the show being 2D animated, and that is completely fine, but to me the stretchy 3D animation made it so much more fun to 10-year-old-Lea's brain. And to 20 year old me, it still is.

I think it totally added to the setting and general mood of the show. Pausing the episodes just to find frames like this:

just hits me the right way. The way their mouths open wide and their faces stretch, always makes me cry-laugh.

I don't think I would've been captured by the show as much I did, if it hadn't been 3D. The show is darker and even rather creepy at times, so the shading and general artstyle works so well (to me at least), while also still being able to show off its goofy side by the funny expressions.

That is all, ignore this.

Raphie deciding last minute to take a shower while the other turtles are out. Means he has to take out his hearing aids to avoid them getting wet.

He just didn't expect the others to come home during his shower and with no one knowing where he went, plus him being unable to hear their calls, he opens the bathroom door only to find his seven brothers panickly trying to find him.

Cue him having to explain what he did and trying to prove to Leo and Raph that he's alright.

Last night I dreamt, that I found a 12!Raph plushie at a store, that was pretty close to the 12!Donnie one I possess.

Upon picking up the plushie (that looked rather traumatized if I'm being honest) to look at it closely, I noticed the tag on his leg only showcased the word "Mid".

Seeing that I yelled "RAPH IS NOT MID, HOW DARE YOU" and was so offended that I woke up.

In season 3 Donnie said, that he hates it "when stuff jumps out at him". Means he might also doesn't like horror movies or games. Or at least that's my headcanon, lmao.

So what if Don talked him into playing a horror game with him, after everyone has gone to bed? It causes Donnie being unable to properly sleep that night and be jumpy the entire next day.💀

Someone sneezes and he's jumping to the ceiling in fright. Someone touches him and he screams bloody murder. Don thinks it's entertaining.

I had the stupiest idea ever of the canon turtles just wandering around the Au kids' school, waiting for them until school's over and while they're already there, wanting to see where their classes are and trying their hardest to hide from view.

They're just trying to peek in from the windows or something and if the Au kids spot them, they'll have a mini heart attack.

Bonus points if literally no-one but the Au kids' spot them and the smaller counterparts are worrying about nothing.
