some 3.14 treats for you 🌼🌼💛💛
happy 7th anniversary of their first meeting! here is a compilation of the fan works made by cpfs over at weibo to celebrate this day. it’s a lot and they deserve to be seen <3
bonus old cpn for you:
One of Xiao Zhan’s companies was registered in Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province which is famous for its rapeseed flowers. this one was registered, 8/4/21. the place was also featured and mentioned in the TTXS episode where they first met as a hometown to these flowers and known as the most beautiful countryside in CHN. It’s interesting, the date it was registered, so close to WYB’s bday. and registering in that county, which he is not even remotely close to or his family. If there is one thing we know about XZ is that he is intentional with what he does and there is always a sense of significance to things he ties himself to.
this one seems like a gift to a certain someone. a place that holds those flowers that they were covered in when they first met.

Starkhaven..... worldbuilding........👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
yes.......................... :)
Like to info dump for a second, scratch all the Knight Errant comic art that you saw depicting Starkhaven. According to the books/lore, Starkhaven is an opulent city-state, adorned with golden fountains, water features, marble, and granite walkways leading all the way to the palace. The palace itself is enormously wealthy. The whole city is. Aesthetics are well cared for and meticulously maintained, almost like an emerald.
That fortress in Knight Errant? bleh !! Look at all that beige.
First of all, waterways flow through the city. They’re as much a part of Starkhaven’s atmosphere as the walls themselves. Due to the geographical valley tilt as well as the green grassy hills (which are explicitly said to be a part of the inside of the city), I imagine one giant moat on the outer most ring with irrigation running up and down through the walls. Which, while I’m mentioning walls, according to the description, are more reminiscent of Hakka Houses which are a particular village design found in Southern China.
Though I have no doubt it would be like a Hakka House expanded to the size of a city, with varying tiers based on class/wealth. For example, (architectural design of houses aside,) a wealthy residential in Starkhaven may look like this. I assume the higher you are the more natural the features are, as well as the more it costs to maintain it. (Think the Earth Kingdom from ATLA, these inspired it!)
[Jujing Village, in Wuyuan County]
So out with the beige, gross, concrete-like fortress of nightmares. In with the fairytale, too good to be true, sheltered living of Starkhaven citizens!

The Water Classic, Part 1
[This is the core Classic only, i.e. without the Commentary, however the headings, SJZ01, SJZ02, etc., indicates the corresponding scrolls within the much longer Commentary on the Water Classic.]
[The maps are primarily intended to illustrate the Classic. Place names have as far as possible been placed in accordance with the Historic Atlas of China, and the rivers drawn as straight lines between their closest vicinity to each place. The Classic is not error-free, as is made clear in the Commentary. Unless noted otherwise, discrepancies between the Atlas and the Classic have been resolved in favour of the Atlas. Cities, mountains, rivers and other features not in the Atlas have been placed by me to fit the description in the Classic.]
