There’s still 10 days left but I can’t help but have a bad feeling about this. With a large amount of votes and such a low score I can’t help but feel this design wasnt enough. Still though! I want to thank everyone on this site and twitter who voted or reblogged my post initially asking people to vote for the monkey king squishable! As much as you beautiful people in the tags wanted it, it seems squishable enthusiasts don’t share the same feelings.
No matter how it turns out, thank you! I suppose I’ll start work on alternative designs to submit in the future.
EDIT: I was just told Monkey King was pictured on the Squishables Newsletter! Not sure if this will help him any, but it made me super excited!

Sun Wukong headcanons
Shrinking himself so he can take naps on you while you go about your day!
it's simple really, the guy enjoys being near you, you being busy gets in the way of him being near you
So! Enter his brilliant idea of shrinking himself
Too busy to cuddle or spend time with him? No worries, he’s making himself comfortable on your shoulder, on your head, or even in your pocket
It’s honestly endearing to have him make small comments about what you’re doing, he’s funny and the presence is comforting
He says some mighty things for someone who’s a squishable size (you’d never harm him of course, you don’t even think you can but the thought counts, right?)
You’d think an immortal monkey would have better things to do than sit on your shoulder all day, but nope!
Man’s been alone for centuries, so now that he found someone whose company he likes and treasures and craves? He’s touch starved and he’s making it your problem (as long as you're comfortable with it)
Not that you’re complaining, the sight of tiny Wukong cuddling up in your palms is extremely adorable
And the same goes for him, he feels safe and protected in your hold, not a daily occurrence as he is the one doing the protecting usually.
Don't be fooled by his size though, he WILL gobble down a peach in mere moments, you're honestly impressed
all in all? Tiny Wukong is a 10/10 experience

Your art is so cute! You had no right to draw the cubs so squishable! The comic with Wukong meeting Macaque for the first time and gay panicing is a fun concept, do you write fanfics as well?
Hehehe, thanks for the flattering words! I'm glad my art touches someone. I write fanfics, but because I don't know English well, I only post them on one site in my native language. If I'm lucky, I'll find someone who knows English well and help me with this.

Summary:
Everyone knew how the story went.
An impersonator came, took the Great Sage's place, and used what they knew to hurt his friends. The enraged King went after them in a fight that wouldn't let up. Finally, the foe was revealed to be one Six-eared Macaque, a celestial primate not unlike Sun Wukong himself — a fact that didn't save them from being brutally killed off barely a few seconds later.
When The Monkey King chose to feel pity and spare a dying Macaque, he altered the course of history. What exactly that entailed, only time could tell.
Or:
Macaque doesn't die. This has consequences, both good and bad.
